TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Eleven people were stabbed at a Walmart in Traverse City on Saturday — with six in critical condition — in what a Michigan sheriff said appeared to be a random act. A suspect was in custody, authorities said. Around 4:45 p.m., a 42-year-old man entered the store and used a folding knife to stab 11 people, the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on social media. A sheriff’s deputy arrived within minutes and took the man into custody, and people in the store also helped apprehend the suspect and treat victims, the sheriff’s office said. The victims’ ages weren’t immediately released.

No description or information on the terrorist who did this. That tells me to start googling… Google AI: Yes, Traverse City, Michigan has a Muslim community and residents who practice Islam. While the Muslim population is smaller than in some other areas, there are Muslims who live and work in Traverse City

Completely absent from this AP story is that the lunatic stopped the attack only after a citizen pointed a pistol at his chest and ordered him to drop the knife.

Well - - from this story we know the perp is a "man" - - so don't go looking for any woman suspects. We also know that he's an adult "man" - - so don't go looking for any "teens." Yes - - it's really wonderful the way the leftist media provides all the details. If they keep on digging - - they may eventually be able to tell us the perp's name. That will be a major media achievement! Dust off the Pullet Surprise!

Just goes to show one of the fastest ways to stop a bad guy with knife is with a good guy with a gun. Point of fact: concealed carry works most every time it is tried. How many more victims might there have been if the armed and ready citizen had not been on hand?

As another poster mentioned...an armed citizen probably prevented more carnage. We aren't sure about motive. The London Daily mail had a bunch of ignorant posts saying the slasher was undoubtedly a MAGA supporter. Makes me glad we kicked the Brits out a couple of hundred years ago. Most likely a random nutball and probably homeless.

The fact that AP ignored the perp was stopped by a citizen with a pistol is a perfect example of how the AP lies by omission. That’s a major part of this story, but doesn’t fit The Agenda. As does the identity of the attacker. My guess is crazy bum (not “homeless”, use “bum” or “vagabond” or “drifter”) but Muslim triggered by being Muslim is equally valid. Neither fits The Agenda and so will never be reported.

Typical incompetent AP reporting. The Perp is muslim. This has been happening in Europe since they allowed third world muslims to colonize their country. Now it happens in states that have allowed the same. They article bloviates about trivial observations all to avoid mentioning that an armed citizen put an end to it without killing the perp.

Because it is AssPress, of course there is zero mention that the attacker was stopped by an armed citizen pointing a gun at him at close range and ordering him to drop the knife. AssPress, always censoring the news so that you won't get the truth.

FTA the earlier DM report: "Sheriff Michael Shea said in the aftermath: 'Eleven is 11 too many, but thank God it wasn´t more. The victims were not predetermined.' SHEA THE SUSPECT, a Michigan resident, apparently acted alone. It seems that the suspect and the sheriff share a last name. From watching the video in the DM report and looking at the photos I assume that the perp is the one with his back to the camera wearing a white tee and khaki cargo shorts. It appeared that he was holding up a weapon of some kind in the video.

President Donald Trump announced a sweeping trade agreement with the European Union (EU) on Sunday, setting a baseline 15 percent tariff on European imports — including automobiles — while keeping existing 50 percent duties on steel and aluminum in place. As part of the deal, the EU committed to purchasing $750 billion in U.S. energy products. Trump announced the agreement during a press conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen after a private meeting at Trump Turnberry in Scotland. The EU will purchase three-quarters of a trillion dollars in U.S. energy, while also investing $600 billion into America on top of existing investments. Additionally,

A Stanford University-led study estimates that COVID-19 vaccinations saved 2.5 million lives from 2020 to 2024, about 17 million fewer than earlier reports suggested, primarily among older adults. That’s the equivalent of one death averted for every 5,400 vaccine doses administered worldwide during the period, according to the findings published Friday in JAMA Health Forum. Official estimates say 7 million people died from the virus worldwide in those years. Led by three Stanford researchers, the study noted that 90% of the lives saved were among people 60 or older, and 82% stemmed from vaccinations administered before they tested positive for COVID.

Pinsker Law of PR #83: “Intensity” and “popularity” aren’t the same thing, but if you spend most of your time online, intensity and popularity become utterly indistinguishable. As such, you miss the forest for the trees. Most political reporters aren’t pounding the pavement anymore, knocking on doors and buying dinner for on-the-fence sources in seedy dive bars. That era of journalism is deader than the dodo. Nowadays, reporters live, breathe, and work online; their “sources” are the voices, texts, and emails popping up on their phones.

Democrats’ approval rating with registered voters has plunged to a 35-year low, while Republicans maintain an edge on most of the top issues Americans care about, a new poll found. A whopping 63% of registered voters view Democrats unfavorably, dramatically eclipsing the 33% who had a positive impression, marking the lowest rating they scored since 1990, according to a Wall Street Journal survey. That abysmal rating for Democrats comes against the backdrop of lackluster figures for President Trump and Republicans. Trump’s approval rating sits at 46%, with 52% who disapprove of the commander in chief. The figure is higher than this point during his first term, which was 40%.

Meanwhile, those saying the economy is “not so good” or “poor” dropped from 63 percent to 51 percent. The swing in public opinion

It's striking how similar NPR's situation is to that of Planned Parenthood. Both organizations have an affiliate model and both just had a lot of federal money cut from their budgets. That means both are now hoping to find new sources of funding to keep the doors open. The NY Times reports there has been an increase in donations to PBS and NPR but so far the amount isn't nearly enough to offset the cuts. Over the last three months, as the prospect of the cuts intensified, roughly 120,000 new donors have contributed an estimated $20 million in annual value,
