President Trump said Monday his administration would send Ukraine additional weapons after his administration imposed a pause on some shipments to Kyiv.
“We’re going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves. They’re getting hit very hard now,” Trump told reporters during a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Defensive weapons, primarily, but they’re getting hit very, very hard. So many people are dying in that mess,” he added.
The Pentagon last week confirmed a decision to halt the delivery of some air defense missiles and munitions to Ukraine, citing concerns about U.S. military stockpiles being depleted.

Putin started this war, has no interest in ending it. Having more damage done is the only way to change his mind. This is a good idea.

This decision, coming on the heels of the OBBB passage, might be in the line of Reagan who built up the military, launched the "star wars" program, and brought the Soviet Union to the verge of bankruptcy by more or less challenging them to keep pace with us. Perhaps Trump is playing that same card.

Secretly Putin is the butt of jokes in the world. His 3 week war is three years and counting.

Trump has no choice. Putin has lost all arguments for his side with the invasion, and now the unnecessary and evil bombing of Kyiv residential areas. Russian demands for peace are outrageous, as Russia is in an unwinnable quagmire, and their economy a disaster. Putin threatening to take over all of Ukraine will not go over. Putin has hurt his position so badly with his recent actions that I think he is going to get little for his efforts. All that Putin has accomplished is to reveal how weak Russia really is. Putin's 3 week invasion has turned into over 3 years, and 800,000 Russians dead on the battlefield. At this rate, there won't be any Russians left in a generation.

Not sure what Putin hopes to accomplish, but he does not want to end this war.
I suspect he thinks he is winning and can outlast all of Ukraine's allies who are propping Z up.
Early on, I was hoping that others in Russia's government would reign in Putin. Guess that will not happen.

Anyone who thinks Putin and the vast majority of Russians should ever trust the “ good intentions” of “the West” (I.e. Western Europeans) simply doesn’t know “history”.

How are the democrats going to spin this one? They loved Ukraine when it was Biden's war and because Ukraine financed Hunter's lifestyle but now it's Trump helping them. When do the protests begin?

So, we're depleting our resources to help an incompetent fraud who stole his way into power? Are they handing over those minerals as payment, or are we just donating to biden's war? It's one of those days out of the month for me. You know, that feeling that you're getting played. Many promises made, only a few of them kept. . . Win, win, oops, you lose.

#13, I firmly believe subjects like this one that are ticking off conservatives (Epstein files included) are issues that put Donald Trump "between a rock and a hard place".

I'm starting to think this is all some sort of shakedown scheme between Putin and his Euro oil customers. It's like Germany selling oil to England in WW2. Something doesn't add up.

So there is no difference between Trump and Biden now. Trump will soon be sending in the next wonder weapon. What next B2 bombers, bunker busters on the Kremlin? Trump will soon be forced to lead the Proxy war with Russia by the weasels in EU.

Trump, like Bush, Obama, Hillary and Biden had to learn for himself that trying to arrive at a reasonable accommodation with a fatalistic, medieval sociopath is ultimately going to fail. Americans, regardless of party, tend to have an optimistic outlook on life and solving problems. As such, we are culturally ill-suited to dealing with an anachronism like Putin in the 21st Century.
Russia just doesn't see that massive wars to take land away from other people is as out of fashion as plaid pants with white shoes.

NATO, our supposed allies, are the ones that started this war with their creeping takeover of the former Soviet satellite countries that served as buffer states. At one time Europe promised they would not do this and would allow the former Soviet states to evolve on their own. It was this constant perfidy and betrayal, as well as the ethnic cleansing attacks against Ukraine's native Russians that caused Putin to offer defense to these people.
NATO and the "West" are the cause of this war. Has everyone forgotten the train of both Dim and Repub senators, including McPain and Miss Lindsey, who made the pilgrimage to Ukraine to scoop up their "vig"? Has everyone forgotten the overthrow of their duly elected president by one of our CIA's color revolutions? This is the usual hot mess created by our own people...much like Vietnam. We pulled Europe's butt out of the fire too many times already. Let them rot in their own perfidy.

At least to us American peasants who aren’t heavily invested in Military-Industrial Complex Stocks.
And whatever happened to that Fort Knox Gold Audit?

This is a mistake.
Ukraine is unimportant, not strategic and to the degree it is worthy of any effort, that would be European effort. Let them deal with it if they care. They don't care enough to build up their military or stop buying Russian gas so why should we care?
#13, Israel is different than Ukraine. They're the only democracy in the Middle East, the only ally in the area we have who consistently backs us when we need something and we have a LOT of shared culture and philosophy.
Ukraine is just a corrupt, racist, anti-western, anti-freedom break away province of old Russia. No matter who controls it, there is no value or harm either way to us. Not our problem.

When you think about the return on investment we've received from supporting Ukraine, it's easily some of the best money we've ever spent. Russia's imperial ambitions and the declaration of the return of a multi-polar world lies in shambles. NATO has two new members and the rest are finally convinced to meet their obligations. Russia's weapons exports are down and their touted air defense systems have suffered a loss of reputation. As have their tanks and other equipment.
Bush was right about the "Axis" of Russia, China, and Iran. All of which are revealed now as brittle and far less capable as they wanted us to think.

33, no, Ukraine was not job one or job 1000.
Making America great again and America First is job 1,2,3,4 through infinity.
Ukraine could have ended in 24 hours if both sides were rational but neither is so they can just go at it. Not our problem.
