Christmas week was rather a slow week, with the big news being the further unraveling of the corruption in Minnesota, Washington state, California, and other Democrat redoubts. But like George Washington crossing the Delaware to beat the Hessians as they rested on Christmas, the U.S. pulled off an incredible military operation capturing Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro in his pajamas and bringing him back here to answer to criminal charges. The Venezuelan military was largely on Christmas leave and Maduro’s international protectors --- the Chinese and Russian forces in Venezuela -- were caught flatfooted, diminishing their credibility in the Western Hemisphere. The impact of this operation was enormous.

I'm delighted to see that the brain worm that was affecting Clarice last week has been eradicated. This was a well-written, enlightening article. First of all, I think that Taiwan will not see much of a threat from China because, aside from the oil, their opportunity to invade Taiwan disappeared with the departure of Joe Biden who would have sent Xi a letter of congratulations after the invasion. The best they can do now is attempt to scare our ships by buzzing them with a couple of fighters. Russia no longer has the money or the soldiers to conduct any sort of trouble in this hemisphere for a long time. Now that Trump is sitting in the catbird seat, thanks to our superb military, even the democrats will hesitate before challenging him with anything except their simple verbal chattering. Leftists and democrats are losing steam and it's going to be another good year. With a little patience we just may see Iran fall on its bearded face all by itself. Come on Chuck-You, let's see if you can show us another shutdown to, you know, show us how tough you are.

It’s been over a year now since her humiliating loss to President Donald Trump, yet for some reason, Kamala Harris still hasn’t figured out that she’s a joke and should fade away into the sunset rather than subject herself to future embarrassment for opening her mouth. Like many other Democrats who have decided that opposing the capture of a dictator is the hill they want to die on, Kamala took to X on Saturday to condemn Donald Trump's successful military operation that captured Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. I guess she’s still on the DNC email list for the latest talking points. "Donald Trump’s actions in Venezuela do not

"Stand Your Ground”—SYG--laws are virtually universally misunderstood and/or lied about by Democrat politicians and particularly the Democrat media propaganda arm. Among the more common misrepresentations is the lie that such laws allow white people to kill innocent, unarmed black men without consequences. Now there’s a new addition: they allow Somali day care fraudsters to shoot conservatives who come to their daycare asking questions. (X) This novel interpretation of SYG laws is the apparent invention of Politico reporter Josh Gerstein in response to the video made by Nick Shirley who exposed rampant fraud when he visited several Minneapolis Somali daycares. Jack Smith, the special prosecutor who attempted to put President Trump in prison for acknowledging that the 2020 election was tainted by fraud, testified before the House Judiciary Committee the week before Christmas. Here are the video and transcript of his deposition. Smith’s testimony is disturbing because his argument in favor of prosecuting the president boils down to this: (1) Every sensible person knows that Joe Biden won the 2020 election. (2) For President Trump to pretend otherwise reveals that he is knowingly telling a “lie.” (3) By using this “lie” to undermine the 2020 election results, Trump committed fraud against the U.S. government

Public education has been undergoing a type of ideological and administrative mutilation for many decades. Under the guise of new educational paradigms that will supposedly both increasingly democratize education and improve learning, we see in the schools a collapse in student cooperation, an increase in violence and disruptive behaviors, a decline in academic achievement, and an increase in teacher turnover. We have seen a shift away from individual work to cooperative learning where students work together in groups. “Learning together” is a mantra opposed to classical individual learning and individual responsibility. Other strategies intended to motivate students

At the start of the COVID pandemic in 2020, California had more than 120,000 inmates in state prisons throughout the state. When — in response to COVID-triggered shutdowns and layoffs — the federal government began pumping massive amounts of money into states’ unemployment compensation programs, the Administration of California Governor Gavin Newsom said “Hey, let’s pay prisoners in prisons and jails, they’re unemployed too.” Well, maybe not quite as glibly as that, but it is a FACT that prison inmates in California prisons and county jails applied for and were paid unemployment compensation by Newsom’s “Employment Development Department” (EDD) which runs the state’s unemployment compensation system.

Independent journalist Nick Shirley says he has received death threats and harassment — including phone calls to his family — after releasing a viral video alleging fraud at Minnesota daycare centers. Shirley described the threats during a Dec. 31 appearance on the PBD Podcast, and said he was warned he would be "Kirked," a reference to the September assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The backlash against the YouTuber follows his investigation into several publicly funded Minnesota daycare centers. Shirley claimed the centers appeared largely empty despite receiving substantial state payments.

Independent journalist Nick Shirley humiliated the mainstream media last week by doing something that the media hasn’t done much of lately: investigative journalism. He visited the sites of suspected fraudulent day care centers in Minneapolis, showing they weren’t operating despite receiving more than $100 million in state aid. So CNN decided to one-up Shirley by doing their own "investigative journalism.” Correspondent Whitney Wilde tried calling the daycare centers to ask whether they were fraudulent. I know. Amazing, right? Spoiler alert: they said yes. So obviously, that mystery is solved. Wilde explained in a voiceover in the segment that she "reached out to several of the day cares featured in the now viral video."

Kids are arriving on college campuses with fewer skills and diminished attention spans. But, rather than challenge students, many colleges are lowering institutional standards to accommodate them. Colleges around the country have English courses that require students to read a single book all semester. Ivy League schools are rolling out remedial math classes. And some schools are teaching kids skills as basic as structuring sentences. Colleges surely have a challenge on their hands as high schools graduate less distinguished classes, but lowering the bar is the sort of coddling that keeps kids from reaching their potential. College is meant to stretch you to your intellectual max. It’s not a time for hand-holding.
