When he's not assisting with taking out Iran's nuclear capabilities, revoking visas from those who support terrorism, or helping the president broker peace in Africa, he's looking after your tax dollars.
"The era of government-sanctioned inefficiency is OVER. From now on, our foreign assistance programs will be accountable to the American taxpayer," Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on X today. The post was accompanied by a lengthy Substack essay called "Make Foreign Aid Great Again."
It appears that USAID is officially dead.

There should be a check mark on your tax return that says, "Check here if you would like to pay for 'failed governments in faraway lands."

But, but, but O'Bummer and Bushleague just made a joint stand to protest the elimination of USAID. I can understand why the big "O" wants to keep the slush fund going. But what is little "b"'s interest?

The key point Rubio makes here is that USAID, for decades regarded the UN and a conglomerate of Left Wing NGOs as its main constituency. Whereas its core founding principle dictates that there should be only one - the US taxpayer. Not only that started meddling in domestic politics. That is unforgivable.

The left successfully infiltrated every area of government over the last 50+ years. They made US a "failed" government. The money going into the pockets of foreign tyrants was funneled back into the hands of infiltrators in the US. Biden showed us just how it's done. He did it in our faces, and suffered no consequences. Zero! We need to stop all foreign assistance until we're no longer broke and steeped in trillions of dollars debt. We need to help ourselves first.

This is not the same "Little Marco" who ran against Trump in 2016. He has grown professionally and knows the lay of the land and it's players - and he has the America first mentality. He could definitely give JD a run for his money in the next POTUS race.

I saw an article recently that stated if America is giving monies to foreign nations then we are paying too much in taxes. That is so true.

And we shouldn't support millions of Somalis on welfare having many children right here in the U.S.

Does the statement about funding failed governments in faraway lands apply to our failed government right here.

#8, you took the words right from my keyboard fingers! When I look around at all of the stuff that we Americans pay for whether it is local, state, or federal, I ask myself one question. Who is accountable for the apathy and lethargy coming out of government?
I am also asking that question of churches because they are also in leadership positions. Who is accountable for the apathy and lethargy coming out of churches?
Yes, I am talking earthly but it is really, really sad when you look around and it seems like nobody cares anymore OR they think it is somebody else's responsibility. I am very concerned with people like Zohran Mamdani. Everything he is suggesting violates the tenets of capitalism. The lackadaisical leadership coming from the Democrat party reminds me so much of how little they believe in capitalism especially because it then creates dependency on government. Along with that, you would think that churches would be aware of it. They seem to be idle. . .

p.s. Given my comment above, that is why I am thrilled to see the energy coming from the Donald Trump/JD Vance administration!

Yet Rubio approved 30 million to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation - which for the record - apparently is legit and does get food, etc to those Gazans who need it - unlike the Hamas controlled government. Maybe State can focus on assisting the persecuted Christians in the Middle east and Africa.

Here's a thought poster #2..."little bush" is not looking so good these days...his reign has been exposed and siding with BarackHUSSEINObama he thought...well Carl Rove thought that it would calm the black vote and move them back into the democrats' column...the democrats just don't get it...the black vote...especially the men have moved permanently....and all the political pollsters and focus groups are useless....
