House Democrats Are Flipping Out About
Alligator Alcatraz

Original Article

Twenty-four House Democrats have called on the Trump administration to close down “Alligator Alcatraz,” a brand-new illegal alien detention facility built in the Florida Everglades. Led by Democratic Reps. Janelle Bynum (OR) and Maxwell Frost (FL), the House Democrats demanded that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Todd Lyons shut the facility down. In the letter, the lawmakers called the facility an “inhumane stunt.” “This remote swamp is notorious for oppressive heat, relentless humidity, severe storms, and perilous terrain infested with venomous snakes, disease-carrying insects, and large predatory wildlife, including alligators and crocodiles,” they wrote.

Comments:

Oh, sniff, sniff, waaaaah!! Maybe the illegal aliens should go back home before they get there then!!

It's air conditioned. Three meals a day. Bed with mattress. Wildlife not allowed in. So don't venture out, just stay inside and you'll be safe from the elements. Think of how many people don't have three squares, don't have a mattress or bed, endure heat minus A/C. Those who don't self-deport but elect for a stopover here have it pretty good.

Heat humidity, gators, snakes, storms, insects and disease. Like that's some big deal. They are describing South Louisiana. If it's good enough for us legals, it's good enough for illegals. Would they rather have them in a Turkish prison or in any prison in Latin America? I know—not at all! The illegals have it good here in Alligator Alcatraz. The beds have mattresses!

"This remote swamp is notorious for oppressive heat, relentless humidity, severe storms, and perilous terrain infested with venomous snakes, disease-carrying insects, and large predatory wildlife, including alligators and crocodiles". The Democrats complaints sound like they are describing most of Southern Florida, parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and other southern states. Also sounds like a lot of Central & South America where the illegals came from. By liberal elite standards, this description is horrifying. A town without a Starbucks is considered third world to them. The people flocking to the south, escaping from liberal northern states don't seem to mind this description.

Typical Dem wanna be hysteria. No prisoner is going to be sleeping and working outside of this prison. As many have pointed out, the place is air conditioned. Prison wardens have found out long ago that is you make life miserable for prisoners, they tend to be harder to handle. Cable TV in prisons is not there to make life wonderful for prisoners, it is there so the prisoners do not try to kill the guards when they are bored,

#10 is wrong. There are American crocodiles in extreme South Florida. They're not nearly as common as alligators, but their small population is stable. A decade ago, one of the American crocodiles, 11 feet long, made it all the way up to Lake Tarpon in West Central Florida before it was photographed, caught, and shipped back south. Unlike alligators, crocs can deal with brackish or salt water, and could even go on the beach. There are also a few Nile crocodiles in the Everglades now. Florida is hip!

The mainstream media has often been out with some pretty outrageous takes, including and especially when it comes to President Donald Trump's best issue, immigration. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of California has filed a class-action lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), demanding an immediate halt to what it describes as “unlawful immigration raids” across the Los Angeles area. The left-leaning nonprofit accuses the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of carrying out unconstitutional raids and targeting “migrants with brown skin.” The plaintiffs allege that DHS and ICE have carried out unconstitutional arrests in order to meet arrest quotas allegedly set out on June 6 by the Trump administration. The suit specifically claims that officials have based arrests and detentions on race and ethnicity with no articulable reasonable suspicion.

It’s been known for quite some time that liberals don’t read all the polling data or dismiss it when it doesn’t comport with their narrative. That’s how arrogant the Left has become: we think ‘x’, therefore it’s right. Nope. That’s not how this works, and you saw that as congressional Democrats whined and threw a tantrum about the reconciliation package, which, among many things, gave a windfall to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. No doubt, making the Trump tax cuts permanent angered the Left, but it’s that the southern border being secured is what drives them up the wall the most.

July 4, 1776, is considered the birthday of America. It is the day on which the Declaration of Independence was approved for public release, founding a new nation on liberty, equality, and justice. The world would never be the same. King George III of Britain and Parliament had for years been infringing on Americans’ rights, unjustly taxing and penalizing them, ignoring all pleas for reform, and sneering disdainfully at those colonists who murmured about independence. Finally, American Patriots had had enough. The Continental Congress voted for independence, Patriots across the colonies cheered the move, the colonial army took up their cause with renewed vigor, and a new nation was born.
