This is madness. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sends a twitter message as if he’s ordering coffee from the guy down the street, telling NATO members not to forget to send him his $40 billion in “budgetary support.”
Budgetary support means we pay for the operational cost of Ukraine government, including govt payrolls, pensions, healthcare services, welfare and social services for the people in Ukraine.)snip)
The crazy thing is, unless Trump stops it, our congress will give it to him. And even if Trump tries to stop it, congress will demand the payment as part of their appropriations process.
As if we don’t have important priorities here at home

The diminutive and corrupt comedian sure has some off the charts chutzpah with his demands. He's become too used to living the dolce vita the past few years. How much of this 40 billion he's demanding will go straight into the tiny pockets of his daily uniform? I expect those regular shopping trips to "Paree" are on the expensive side. His demands are beyond outrageous; the only thing he should hear is the sound of laughter. The people of Ukraine deserve so much better.

KMA, Zelensky. You get nothing.
Concerning other comments: I don't think there's enough money in the world that could convince me to accept that mess over there as our 51st state.

I think he might as well forget this demand. At least I hope so. We can use that money here by doubling the size of our border wall, giving it to ICE to hire more agents and hasten the deportations or boost SS payments. We have too many needs here than to be sending billions to prolong a war that will eventually end up making Ukraine a satellite of the Soviets anyway. I think Zelensky is just trying to get more so he and his friends can flee to a safer country a live the millionaire life.

Get rid of this clown. Hold elections in the Ukraine so that this money-grubbing swine gets eliminated. I assume his wife just needs a few dimes to go shopping in Paris again, perhaps buy another villa in the South of France. Try to get this creep into a suit. That smelly Pj must be worn down to the last threads.

I think it will be a win for us if we invite Putin to take Ukraine and he will be totally responsible for them. Throwing good money after bad has never been a winning proposition for anybody. It will also shut Zelenskyy up permanently. Why is he begging from NATO if he is not a member?

We watched as our rural communities shrivel up and die because of the enormous tax burden placed on them to support bloated state and federal programs. Especially egregious is the trillions spent of the futile attempt at the USA becoming the world police. How much more do Americans have to sacrifice on behalf of foreigners not only in Ukraine, but around the world? Enough is enough. Reinvest in the US before it is too late. Put America First!

Other countries don’t ‘demand’ anything from Trump. That should be clear. If Congress appropriates this they will light up the base. They will lose the midterms.
