Volodymyr Zelensky Demands $40 Billion
in Annual Budget Support for Ukraine

Original Article

Posted By: earlybird, 6/21/2025 3:12:20 PM

This is madness. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sends a twitter message as if he’s ordering coffee from the guy down the street, telling NATO members not to forget to send him his $40 billion in “budgetary support.” Budgetary support means we pay for the operational cost of Ukraine government, including govt payrolls, pensions, healthcare services, welfare and social services for the people in Ukraine.)snip) The crazy thing is, unless Trump stops it, our congress will give it to him. And even if Trump tries to stop it, congress will demand the payment as part of their appropriations process. As if we don’t have important priorities here at home

Comments:

His tweet specifies #40billion ANNUALLY. So this is why he invited himself to the G7?

The diminutive and corrupt comedian sure has some off the charts chutzpah with his demands. He's become too used to living the dolce vita the past few years. How much of this 40 billion he's demanding will go straight into the tiny pockets of his daily uniform? I expect those regular shopping trips to "Paree" are on the expensive side. His demands are beyond outrageous; the only thing he should hear is the sound of laughter. The people of Ukraine deserve so much better.

I think he might as well forget this demand. At least I hope so. We can use that money here by doubling the size of our border wall, giving it to ICE to hire more agents and hasten the deportations or boost SS payments. We have too many needs here than to be sending billions to prolong a war that will eventually end up making Ukraine a satellite of the Soviets anyway. I think Zelensky is just trying to get more so he and his friends can flee to a safer country a live the millionaire life.

We watched as our rural communities shrivel up and die because of the enormous tax burden placed on them to support bloated state and federal programs. Especially egregious is the trillions spent of the futile attempt at the USA becoming the world police. How much more do Americans have to sacrifice on behalf of foreigners not only in Ukraine, but around the world? Enough is enough. Reinvest in the US before it is too late. Put America First!

The attack on the court's conservative majority by the junior justice and member of the liberal wing is notably pointed and aggressive but stopped short of getting personal. It laid bare the stark divisions on the court and pent-up frustration in the minority over what Jackson described as inconsistent and unfair application of precedent

While it is a strong win, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decision to fully stay the lower court order was not unexpected. The Ninth CCA simply affirmed that a violent crisis was afoot in California; federal officials and buildings were under attack; the local police and state government did nothing to stop it; so President Trump took legally authorized action to intervene, and took control of the national guard. Trump just took back what Obama gave Iran 10 replies

It’s very early in the Iran nuclear story, but one thing is certain: What Barack Obama gave to Iran—millions and millions of dollars in cash on wooden pallets to make The Bomb—Trump just took back. Obama had no problems with Iran developing a nuclear weapon. The money he gave the Mullahs was to go toward that end. Islamophilic Obama thought that the country that vowed “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” had every right to have nuclear weapons with which to carry out those threats.
