The wife of an Egyptian national accused of hurling makeshift flamethrowers at pro-Israel protesters has issued a desperate plea from an ICE facility where she and her five children are being held. Hayam El Gamal, 43, and her children were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on June 3 - just days after her husband, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, allegedly attacked a demonstration honoring the October 7 victims who are still being held hostage by Hamas militants in Gaza. Terrorist baby factory has desperate plea? Yaaaaaawn.... How much concern has she shown for the innocent old people her beloved and kindly husband threw fire bombs at for no reason? What's that you say? Zero? Ok.

At present the family is under investigation for possible involvement in or prior knowledge of what he did. Planned it for a year. Built his homemade bombs? They had to be aware. They are going nowhere until LE is satisfied that they knew nothing. Then they can go to Egypt.

“We’ve done nothing wrong” - yes, you have. You’re in MY country ILLEGALLY. Turn off the crocodile tears. I don’t care about what you want for your children. Go get it somewhere else. You’re going back to Egypt. They don’t have free food and EBT cards there, and the medical care isn’t free, but your free ride is over.

#1 makes an excellent point: The media have paid little or no attention to the victims. The latest information I could find online was a June 4th CBS story, ""How one Colorado hospital's expertise in treating burns is helping those injured in Boulder terrorist attack", indicating that seven people were burned severely enough to require hospitalization and three were still hospitalized on that date. A June 1 Wikipedia article "Boulder Colorado firebombing" provides names and other information on some but not all of the burn victims. A June 3 CNN article, "Colorado attack: How a demonstration for Israeli hostages ended in an antisemitic firebombing" provides background on the vigil that was attacked.

Reading the comments in the article and here it looks like a consensus that the entire family be deported. While I feel pity for the children who may have been Americanized, I do not consider Egypt to be a hell hole. Their circumstances are unfortunate but their decision to overstay their visas as well as the actions of the head of the family make it clear they must return to their own country. It would be unfair to permit them to stay while so many others are trying to engage in legal immigration. The kids should be able to re-apply thru legal channels.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson unloaded on her Supreme Court colleagues Friday in a series of sharp dissents, castigating what she called a "pure textualism" approach to interpreting laws, which she said had become a pretext for securing their desired outcomes, and implying the conservative justices have strayed from their oath by showing favoritism to "moneyed interests." The attack on the court's conservative majority by the junior justice and member of the liberal wing is notably pointed and aggressive but stopped short of getting personal. It laid bare the stark divisions on the court and pent-up frustration in the minority over what Jackson described as inconsistent and unfair application of precedent

Shortly after sunrise, Iran launched a barrage of 20-30 missiles in three waves, according to Israel’s Army Radio. Sirens were sounded in the north, and then throughout the entire country. Most of the missiles were intercepted by Israel’s air defenses; the missile that hit the port city of Haifa, where Arabs and Jews live side-by-side, was the only one that caused injuries on the ground. It turns out that one of the damaged buildings was the Al-Jreena Mosque, one of the most important Muslim houses of worship in the city. Muslim clerics, or imams, were in the mosque, presumably ahead of weekly juma’ah services held on Fridays.
