After the death of Pope Francis at the age of 88, the world is waiting to see who will succeed him, as the Cardinals gather in Rome for the Papal Conclave. He was the first Latin American Pope, so did that signal a wider change within the Catholic Church and will we now see the first black or Asian Pope? Here are the top contenders to become the next Supreme Pontiff...

Comments:

Not an encouraging list. Most sound like they're continuations of Francis, who my Catholic friends thoroughly disliked.

Frankie the Communist Pope was careful to pack the College of Cardinals with fellow marxists and pedophiles so the next pope will be selected from this cesspool of evil cardinals, so it is safe to assume the next pope will be as bad or worse. Enjoy your stay in hell Frankie you earned it.

Remember that Popes are considered to be infallible only where it comes to Roman Catholic Church dogma and traditions, and not when Popes involve themselves, and give personal opinions, concerning worldly politics and the laws of individual countries. At least that’s the way it used to be.

Some time ago I read that Pope Francis had installed quite a number of new Cardinals who adhered to his particular form of Catholicism. I doubt if the Conclave will elect a traditional leader.

I don't think most Latin American Catholics were that happy with Pope Francis. Hopefully the Cardinals will read the Bible and find the passage where it describes homosexuality as an abomination.

It matters not to me who they choose. I am Baptist to the bone and answer to God, not the Pope. I don't pay much attention to the Popes but it seems to me I've seen more news about this one sticking his nose/opinions into this country's politics.

I'm like you #17. I remember when I was a little boy, and I asked my grandma what denomination we were. She answered in that sweet granny voice "we Baptists baby." The first time I knew what a Pope was when John Paul II came to see President Reagan. I usually don't pay attention to what the Pope does. Until the latest one had made comments on political and cultural issues in my beloved country.

But in today’s world, where the skies feel less friendly than ever thanks to progressive ideology that has taken over corporate America, it’s no surprise that when a crash happens, all eyes turn to DEI. And that’s not a stretch. Delta Airlines has made no secret of going all-in on their DEI agenda—a move that just so happens to coincide with a sharp decline in consumer confidence with the airline industry.
