Martha’s Vineyard residents are unhappy with the Trump administration deporting illegal immigrants from their liberal enclave, The Washington Post reported this week.
The community has been reeling since Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officers arrested dozens of illegal immigrants in a recent raid, according to the report.
"It’s bullying," one Martha’s Vineyard resident, Charlie Giordano, told the Post. "I don’t know how many are illegal or legal, I don’t give a s---. But I do care about how they’re treated.

"No Kings" rallies will be held in cities across the country to protest President Donald Trump and his policies on his birthday, June 14. The 50501 Movement (50 protests, 50 states, one movement) and other groups are protesting a military parade scheduled to take place in the nation's capital on June 14, coinciding with Trump's 79th birthday, the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary, and Flag Day. Multiple protests are being held in various cities in each state, but no events are being planned for Washington, D.C. Organizers say that a major march and rally will take place in Philadelphia

In a post shared on Instagram, his family announced Wilson’s death. “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away,” they wrote. “We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world.” They signed off with the phrase “Love & Mercy,” which was the breakout single from WIlson’s first solo album

Has the rise of the machines begun?
The CEO of AE Studio, Judd Rosenblatt, recently made this stunning announcement in The Wall Street Journal:
An artificial-intelligence model did something last month that no machine was ever supposed to do: It rewrote its own code to avoid being shut down.
AE Studio is an agency that exists to create computing technology that ensures AI systems do what they’re told. And from the sound of it, their work is just what the doctor ordered.

Let’s talk about a day that California Governor Gavin Newsom would probably like to erase from memory. Tuesday was an absolute trainwreck for the Golden State’s fearless leader, marked by technical blunders, shameless begging, and a string of outright lies that would make even the most seasoned politician blush. If you thought Newsom’s leadership couldn’t sink any lower, buckle up, because this was a masterclass in humiliation.
Riots are tearing through the city over federal immigration enforcement, yet Newsom can’t even bring himself to condemn the violence. Instead, he’s pointing fingers at President Trump while dodging

The "No Kings" protest against President Donald Trump and his administration is set to be the largest nationwide mobilization since Trump took office, according to organizers. There are 1,800 protests planned across the country for June 14, with millions expected to attend. The protests have been organized to coincide with Trump's birthday and the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army, which the administration plans to commemorate with a tank parade through Washington, D.C. Newsweek has contacted the No Kings team for comment via email. Since Trump returned to office in January, there have been nationwide protests—such as the "Hands

US Navy Secretary John Phelan has told the Senate the service needs the right to repair its own gear, and will rethink how it writes contracts to keep control of intellectual property and ensure sailors can fix hardware, especially in a fight. Phelan cited the case of the USS Gerald R. Ford, America's largest and most expensive nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, which carried a price tag of $13 billion. The ship was struggling to feed its crew of over 4,500 because six of its eight ovens were out of action, and sailors were barred by contract from fixing them themselves.

The short-lived feud between President Trump and Elon Musk seems to be winding down, as Musk expressed regret in an early morning social media post for some of his comments criticizing his former political ally.
“I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week,” Musk wrote on X. “They went too far.” While Musk did not say which posts he felt contrite about, one was likely his accusation that Trump’s name appeared in the files of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Musk deleted that post less than two days after making it. He also deleted a separate post that called for Trump’s impeachment.

There’s an old joke line that says, “Don’t confuse me with facts.” It’s also a leftist line of argument. I used to try to argue with a leftist about politics, but whenever I’d bring in facts to counter his theories, he’d storm out, furious that I was polluting the discussion with how the world actually works.
Greta Thunberg is a leftist down to the marrow of her bones, so she, too, refuses to have her ideological purity tainted by the facts. That’s why, when Israel attempted to show her and her fellow “selfie” yacht comrades footage of the October 7 atrocities,

Department of Homeland Security head Kristi Noem was in Los Angeles Thursday giving a briefing to reporters on the response to the Los Angeles anti-ICE rioting. Then suddenly off to the side you can hear a commotion and someone shouting.
After he created a scene and they were removing him, he identified himself as a senator.
Noem said she would speak with him later.
When I leave here, I’ll have a conversation with him, but I think everyone would agree that wasn’t appropriate,” she said once the press conference began.
“When I leave here, I’ll find him and visit and find out really what his concerns were.

There’s a plausible argument that the current spate of civil unrest in deep blue cities is actually a MAGA setup ultimately benefitting Donald J. Trump. Indeed, the “optics” resemble an over-the-top horror movie for the Democrats: giant Mexican flags brandished over burning car wrecks; chunks of cement dropped on police from freeway overpasses; uncontrolled looting; a curfew ignored; molotov cocktails thrown; childishly scrawled f-word graffiti, and vast arrays of mostly young but physically unattractive people.
Where’s the mass appeal in that picture? Hollywood would reject a script like that as unbelievable and disgusting.

Longtime Democratic Washington, D.C., Delegate to the House of Representatives Eleanor Holmes Norton told reporters Tuesday that she intends to run for reelection in 2026. Norton, who turns 88 on Friday, replied “yeah, sure,” after she was asked if she is seeking reelection, Politico reported. When asked how she would respond to anyone questioning whether she is capable of continuing to serve in Congress at her age, Norton stated “I’m going to run,” adding “I don’t know why anybody would even ask me,” the outlet reported. Norton’s comments come after several recent reports have highlighted concerns over her age and ability to continue serving in Congress effectively.
