Private companies can do whatever they want,” leftists once snorted in defense of companies like Facebook banning conservative speech. But now the tables have turned, and LGBTQ activists have found themselves in a state between panicked and sulky as their fair-weather friends in corporate America are pulling sponsorships of Pride celebrations this month. As a result, Pride events across the nation are facing budget shortfalls, and activists are blaming everyone but themselves. At least 14 companies — including Pepsi, Citi, MasterCard, Nissan, Garnier, and US defense contractor Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corp. — have dropped or greatly scaled back their financial contributions to annual Pride events nationwide.

These companies are blowing with the wind. They sponsored the fruits because the fruits had things going for them for a while. Now people are showing that they were virtue signaling for a while and have now turned sensible. The companies are not interested in the LGBTQ agenda unless it makes money for them take away that money and the sponsorship goes away,.

The groundwork was laid in the 90s. Gays went into advertising so they could promote the idea of "DINKs" - double income, no kids. They started convincing businesses that gays were a better market, because they had more disposable income. That encouraged companies to advertise on shows that were starting to include gays everywhere. This encouraged Hollywood to include more gays, because it would get more ad dollars. Rinse and repeat for a few decades, and the majority of the population is fed up.

When major corporate sponsors stop supporting this movement, it flounders. Doesn't that say a lot to the argument that this perversion is NOT supported by grassroots America?

Just as one example, the dulcolax commercial for the last year was 100% lesbians. Do lesbians get constipated more than anyone else? I dont know, but their new commercial that I first saw last night has what appears to be a regular woman in a one piece jumping in a pool. Maybe the lesbians weren't buying enough of it. Now if the interracial commercials will figure that out.

Many commercials are demeaning to normal folks. Blacks are not 75% of the population. Gays, lesbians, and obese women prancing around do not prompt me to consider purchasing a product; in fact, just the opposite. But, I do like animals and cartoon characters.

Newsom Blames Trump for L.A. Insurrection 8 replies

Don't blame Gavin Newsom for the violent L.A. ICE "protests." He's only the governor of California presiding over the chaos he helped cause by running a proudly "sanctuary state"--forcing taxpayers to pay for all manner of support for illegal aliens—while presiding over open air drug use, "homelessness," and "insurrection." He's supported and endorsed the people running these protests (see my story nearby). Newsom would like you to believe, however, that it's President Donald Trump's fault that these bullhorn-spewing, pre-produced-sign-waving "protesters" have become violent. Indeed, these agents provocateur hope that the rabble take the bait and cause more pain. That’s Trump’s fault, naturally.

We've covered the insanity in Los Angeles over the past two days. But that's not the only place where anti-ICE radicals are getting out of hand. It was crazy in New York City on Saturday as well, where a mob of about 150 people tried to stop ICE outside of the U.S. Immigration Court. Things got violent there, and now the Trump administration has called out the National Guard to help quell the anti-ICE rioting that has been going on. California Gov. Gavin Newsom threw a tantrum over it. Meanwhile,

ABC News’ senior national correspondent Terry Moran has been suspended after going on a late-night screed against top White House adviser Stephen Miller along with President Trump on social media — drawing scathing backlash from the Trump administration. Moran, who landed an interview with the president in April, blasted Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, as a man “richly endowed with the capacity for hatred.” “The thing about Stephen Miller is not that he is the brains behind Trumpism. Yes, he is one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of the Trumpist movement and translates them into policy. But that’s not what’s interesting about Miller,”

The angry, masked demonstrators yelled “motherf–kers” at officers, sat in the roadway, threw objects and even themselves in front of an unmarked white van with tinted windows as it tried to leave 26 Federal Plaza, where the US Immigration Court is housed.

Zohran Mamdani couldn’t even pretend he supports Israel’s right to exist as actually Israel: Bad as everyone was on stage at the first Democratic mayoral debate, he disqualifies himself with that stance alone. And, incidentally, exposes anyone who endorses him as perfectly fine with promoting antisemitism. That includes not only Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who’s tried to distance herself a tad from her most viscerally antisemitic Squad-mates but still endorsed Mamdani the day after the debate, but also state Sen. John Liu, who announced his support even as he insisted they disagreed on Israel. Sorry, John: When Jews are being gunned down in our nation’s capital, and firebombed at a peaceful Boulder vigil,

Why do parts of the left and the media keep asking for sympathy in all the wrong places? In recent months we have had to put up with crazed activists like Taylor Lorenz claiming that Luigi Mangione is a “revolutionary” and a “morally good man” because she finds him “handsome.” Unfortunately he is also on trial for gunning down a father of two in cold blood on Sixth Avenue. In the eyes of many people that still counts against a man. And then there has been the bizarre defense of absolutely anybody who ICE has tried to deport.

When Chinese entities began to buy up farmland near remote but strategic American military installations here in the United States, there were some of us who raised the question, Why? Those who did so were criticized, described as paranoid, Sinophobic, and hostile to Chinese investment in America. We might want to revisit that criticism. Pentagon experts are looking with deep concern at the extraordinary damage done to Russia's strategic bomber force in the wake of Ukraine's recent surprise drone attack. Engaging in what is called asymmetric warfare, Ukraine used flatbed trucks, carrying shipping containers filled with cheap attack drones,

The message was never broadcast. Never printed. Never heard. And yet it remains one of the most remarkable documents of World War II—a plain slip of paper, scribbled in pencil, misdated “July 5,” and folded into a shirt pocket by a man shouldering the weight of freedom’s gamble. Had D-Day failed—had the beaches been bloodbaths without a breakthrough—General Dwight D. Eisenhower was prepared to take full responsibility. Not with a press conference or a military tribunal. But with a handwritten note accepting all blame. Not naming subordinates. Not mentioning the enemy. Not even attempting an explanation.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California lawmakers this week advanced several efforts aimed at reining in utility profits and slashing electricity bills as part of their agenda to tackle the sky-high costs of living. The proposals would make sweeping changes to how utilities fund expensive infrastructure projects like putting power lines underground to guard against wildfires. They also would add more oversight around wildfire mitigation spending and put new requirements on utility requests to increase rates. Supporters said the goal is to make the big investor-owned utilities start sharing some of the costs to fight wildfires and build new transmission infrastructure. “This

William Sullivan’s essay regarding scientific atheism is intriguing and enlightening. It got me thinking about a very simple proof for a Creator. The atheist loves to proclaim, “There is no scientific proof of the existence of God!” This is true, since by “scientific” proof, the atheist means “empirical” proof, and there is no empirical proof of anything. However, it is quite easy to use logic to prove in easy steps that God exists and that He is the God of the Bible. 1. Every existing thing either is or is not existentially dependent upon the action of other beings. Those beings that are existentially dependent are called “contingent.” A being that is not
