And the European Union heaved a huge sigh of relief. Despite ultra-nationalist George Simion, of the AUR party, claiming victory earlier on, Nicusor Dan, the progressive mayor of Bucharest who ran as an independent, looks set to be Romania’s next president

There are factions and political undercurrents in a lot of these countries that have nothing to do with the EU. The borders of these countries have been redrawn numerous times, creating minority ethnic groups. Sometimes internal divisions sway elections one way or another.

The Supreme Court ordered the Maine House of Representatives on Tuesday to restore the vote of a Republican lawmaker who was censured after she wrote an online post defending fairness in women’s sports and criticizing the intrusion of a trans-identifying male athlete into female competition. Maine Representative Laurel Libby filed the emergency appeal to the Supreme Court while a lawsuit over the social media post plays out. In the post written earlier this year, Libby criticized a male high school athlete who won a girls’ track meet, and included in the post the male student’s name.

Federal regulators announced Tuesday a new regulatory policy for Covid-19 approvals designed to limit vaccine approvals to older Americans and those at serious risk from the virus. The FDA’s new policy will make seasonal Covid-19 vaccines available to the elderly and those with health conditions that put them at a greater risk of infection, but not for young adults and children who otherwise face little risk of suffering from debilitating Covid-19 symptoms. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary and Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research director Dr. Vinay Prasad unveiled the policy in a new paper published by the New England Journal of Medicine.

Elon Musk on Tuesday said he plans to spend "a lot less" on political donations in the future, signaling a change in attitude from President Donald Trump's top campaign backer. Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and the head of the government-slashing initiative DOGE, spent more than $250 million helping Trump win a second White House term. But when asked at the Qatar Economic Forum if he will continue spending at that level in upcoming elections, Musk said he would not. "I think, in terms of political spending, I'm going to do a lot less in the future," Musk said. When asked why, he said, "I think I've done enough."

Megyn Kelly spoke to top urologist Dr. David Samadi about former President Joe Biden's shocking, aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis, who pointed to one part in the announcement that puts the timing into question. During the Sirius XM "The Megyn Kelly Show" podcast, Kelly asked about comments made by oncologist Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, who said on "Morning Joe" that Biden's form of cancer doesn't just "develop in the last 100, 200 days." Dr. Samadi not only agreed with Dr. Ezekiel that it likely wasn't just discovered, but said the comment in Biden's cancer statement, about it being "hormone sensitive," proves the diagnosis can't be new.

Poll after poll keeps bringing good news for Republicans and bad news for Democrats as American voters are feeling good about the direction of the country under Donald Trump’s leadership. Meanwhile, they're eyeing the Dems with ever-increasing skepticism as more and more negative information comes out about what really went down during the Biden regime. Despite some pessimism earlier in this, Trump’s second (non-consecutive) term, another new survey released Monday shows that a majority is feeling mighty good about the direction of the economy. The Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll released Monday revealed the first net-positive rating on the strength of the U.S. economy since July 2021,

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday gave the Trump administration the green light to revoke special legal protections for thousands of Venezuelan immigrants, which could pave the way for them to be deported. The high court granted an emergency application filed by the administration, meaning officials can move forward with reversing a decision made at the tail end of the Biden administration to extend protections for more than 300,000 Venezuelans under the federal Temporary Protected Status program. The brief order noted that liberal Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson would have denied the application. Litigation will now continue in lower courts.

Tomorrow, Original Sin, the book on how Joe Biden's White House and the leadership of the Democratic Party lied to poor Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, and to the rest of the resistance media that had its collective heads buried in the sand for the four years of the former President's regency, finally comes out. Tapper is scheduled to appear on Megyn Kelly's podcast, which could be one for the record books, if Megyn's reputation precedes her. Yesterday morning, the news dropped that Joe Biden has been diagnosed with late-stage prostate cancer, an aggressive disease that has already metastasized into his bones. In a statement, Biden's team said

President Donald Trump’s "one big, beautiful bill" survived a key hurdle in the House of Representatives on Sunday night, putting it one step closer to a chamber-wide vote later this week. Lawmakers on the House Budget Committee were summoned back to Washington for a 10 p.m. meeting to vote on advancing the legislation, which passed the panel in a nearly party-line vote. Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., made a surprise appearance at the committee room shortly before the vote began, telling reporters, "We think this is going to go well tonight. We're about to find out." He said there would likely be "minor modifications" to the final bill.

On Sunday, news broke that former President Joe Biden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 and metastasis to the bone. The announcement, made by Biden’s office, detailed that the diagnosis followed the discovery of a prostate nodule after worsening urinary symptoms a week prior. While the statement emphasized that the cancer is hormone-sensitive, offering hope for effective management, the timing and context of this revelation raise serious questions about transparency and political motivations. The key question I have is this: Did Joe Biden’s inner circle know about this diagnosis last year?

The Israeli military began a series of air strikes against what it said were Hamas targets on Friday, ahead of the launch of “Gideon’s Chariots,” a new ground offensive which is aimed at gaining “operational control” of the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip. The joint statement, released by the British government on Monday, said, “We strongly oppose the expansion of Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
