Harvard Having Second Thoughts About Leading
the Resistance

Harvard earned a lot of praise last month for standing up to the Trump administration. For example: The Trump administration responded by pulling federal funding, just as it had done previously at Columbia University. Harvard took things up another notch and sued the administration. But even as all this was happening there were reports that, behind the scenes, both Harvard and the administration were looking to make a deal. And by the end of last month, there were signs that Harvard was softening its stance a bit. Harvard will no longer host or fund affinity group celebrations during Commencement

I don't understand why an organization trillions of dollars in debt gives another organization with billions of dollars in savings hundreds of millions of dollars every year.

Harvard grad from the late 1980s here. While both the faculty and students were certainly predominantly liberal, I was conservative and felt free to express my views both in classes and with my peers. Sure there was pushback and debate, but I never felt oppressed or threatened if people found out I liked Reagan or believed in limited government, or thought Israel had a right to exist. I hardly recognize Harvard today, and I can’t imagine that I would feel comfortable there. Furthermore, several of my closest friends were Jewish, including my girlfriend. I’m sure there was antisemitism on campus then, but would literally fear for their physical safety today. The liberal professor who was quoted and who said that driving the few conservative faculty away led to this is absolutely right. I love Harvard for the memories I have there and the friends I made, but I’m not proud of the Harvard of today.

I reckon that if any one of their over-educated administrative staff had ever had to file for IRS 401(c) tax exempt status before, their thoughts would already be several times (higher than 2) through the iteration box. Fill out those forms all over again? YES NO. YES Jump up and swat the hornets nest. Support Hamas over America. NO. Calm down, get rid of radicals and anti-Semites.

President Donald Trump announced he plans to sign an executive order on Monday that will reduce the cost of prescription drugs and pharmaceuticals "almost immediately, by 30% to 80%." Trump made the announcement on Truth Social Sunday. "For many years the World has wondered why Prescription Drugs and Pharmaceuticals in the United States States of America were SO MUCH HIGHER IN PRICE THAN THEY WERE IN ANY OTHER NATION, SOMETIMES BEING FIVE TO TEN TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE SAME DRUG, MANUFACTURED IN THE EXACT SAME LABORATORY OR PLANT, BY THE SAME COMPANY???" Qatar on Sunday denied reports that the Trump administration is preparing to accept a luxury jet from the country’s royal family. ABC News reported earlier Sunday that a super luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet would become available for President Donald Trump as Air Force One and then donated to his presidential library foundation so he could use it after leaving office. But Ali Al-Ansari, Qatar’s Media Attaché to the U.S., told POLITICO the reports are “inaccurate.” “The possible transfer of an aircraft for temporary use as Air Force One is currently under consideration between Qatar’s Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense, but the matter remains under review

The report said that at the time — weeks after the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, onslaught — Khan was coming under increasing pressure//snip//The woman allegedly told investigators that Khan had informed her that her accusations would harm the investigation into the Gaza war. “Think about the Palestinian arrest warrants,” she said he told her, according to her testimony.

President Donald Trump announced early Saturday morning that talks facilitated by the United States have led to a "full and immediate ceasefire" between India and Pakistan. The news comes just days after India launched missile strikes on Pakistan-administered Kashmir and Pakistani military bases, a move escalating tensions after a deadly militant attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir, which India blames on Pakistan. Pakistan retaliated with drone and missile attacks on Indian military targets, marking the most intense conflict between the nuclear-armed neighbors in decades. Both nations accused each other of initiating the attacks, prompting international calls for de-escalation amid fears of a broader war.

Famed Democrat strategist James Carville unleashed a blistering attack on Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) after her controversial comments about white men resurfaced on social media. The outspoken former Clinton advisor didn't mince words at Wednesday's Truth Tellers Summit, where he systematically demolished Omar's inflammatory rhetoric. Omar's comments, which initially came from a 2018 Al Jazeera interview during her congressional campaign, exposed the radical left's disturbing obsession with race-based attacks. In the interview, she outrageously claimed that Americans "should be more fearful of white men" than radical Islamic terrorists because they are "actually causing most of the deaths within this country."

A Ramallah-based poll found that 49 percent of Gazans would apply to Israel for help emigrating, highlighting growing disillusionment inside the terror-run enclave. The survey, conducted in early May and released by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR) on Tuesday, comes as Israel resumes military operations to root out Hamas and free remaining hostages. Israel remains at war with the Islamic terror group following the October 7, 2023, massacre — the deadliest attack in its history — when thousands of terrorists stormed the border, murdering civilians at a music festival and in nearby towns, committing mass rape, torture, executions, and abductions.

The Catholic Church has issued a warning to its clergy in Washington state: Any priest who complies with a new law requiring the reporting of child abuse confessions to authorities will be excommunicated. The new law, which will take effect on July 27, eliminates the long-standing confidentiality of the confessional, forcing Catholic leaders and lawmakers into a highly charged standoff over religious liberty and child protection. However, the Archdiocese of Seattle and several bishops argue that the law not only contravenes church doctrine but crosses constitutional lines, while supporters maintain it is a crucial step to protect minors from abuse.
