Harvard earned a lot of praise last month for standing up to the Trump administration. For example: The Trump administration responded by pulling federal funding, just as it had done previously at Columbia University. Harvard took things up another notch and sued the administration. But even as all this was happening there were reports that, behind the scenes, both Harvard and the administration were looking to make a deal. And by the end of last month, there were signs that Harvard was softening its stance a bit.
Harvard will no longer host or fund affinity group celebrations during Commencement

It's amazing that Harvard has any kind of reputation remaining.

Close them down for the next three years as punishment. They haven't been teaching anything useful since the days of Hussein the Hustler.

They are having no such thing. They are simply looking for ways to outlast the trump Administration. Like Islamic terrorists. Well, the next one could be worse for them.

I don't understand why an organization trillions of dollars in debt gives another organization with billions of dollars in savings hundreds of millions of dollars every year.

Harvard grad from the late 1980s here. While both the faculty and students were certainly predominantly liberal, I was conservative and felt free to express my views both in classes and with my peers. Sure there was pushback and debate, but I never felt oppressed or threatened if people found out I liked Reagan or believed in limited government, or thought Israel had a right to exist.
I hardly recognize Harvard today, and I can’t imagine that I would feel comfortable there.
Furthermore, several of my closest friends were Jewish, including my girlfriend. I’m sure there was antisemitism on campus then, but would literally fear for their physical safety today.
The liberal professor who was quoted and who said that driving the few conservative faculty away led to this is absolutely right.
I love Harvard for the memories I have there and the friends I made, but I’m not proud of the Harvard of today.

Harvard is getting very close to a black hole. They are dangerously close to the event horizon. Once past there, they are goners! Dya is day, night is night, check your textbooks if necessary.

American taxpayers must enjoy being cash cows. All of this outrage occurs during democrat-led governments and we let it happen for a long time.

My first thought is that Harvard should not be receiving any federal funding.

But, but, but, what about that press release Haavud put out stating "We stand by the entirety of our woke agenda, and we are prepared to expend the last cent of our entire endownment promoting and defending it."
What? Oh, right. That wasn't Harvard. Which institution was that then? Oh, right. Nobody.

I reckon that if any one of their over-educated administrative staff had ever had to file for IRS 401(c) tax exempt status before, their thoughts would already be several times (higher than 2) through the iteration box. Fill out those forms all over again? YES NO.
YES Jump up and swat the hornets nest. Support Hamas over America.
NO. Calm down, get rid of radicals and anti-Semites.
