Israel managed to contain one of the largest wildfires in the country’s history this week without losing any structures to the blaze — unlike California, which saw tens of thousands of structures destroyed in January. As Breitbart News reported, the fires burned near Jerusalem and consumed over 5,000 acres. However, firefighters were “miraculously” able to keep the blaze from reaching homes or structures, and no one died. One engine (pictured above) was lost, and several people suffered injuries that were treated at hospitals. The conditions in both fires were very similar: high winds, dry conditions, and brush that could easily catch fire. Drivers were evacuated on major roads

The Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) reports that Medicaid enrollment has increased by 60% since 2012, with a significant portion of this growth driven by able-bodied adults, including those earning 138% above the poverty line. This expansion has led to concerns about the program’s sustainability and whether resources are being diverted from the most vulnerable populations.
Most of the able-bodied, including those above the poverty line, don’t work. That shouldn’t surprise anyone. If they work, they will be above the poverty line and won’t collect. They’re incentivized not to work. The system needs fixing. While 41 states, including the District of Columbia, have adopted Medicaid expansion, 19 states have not.

Legendary PGA Golfer Phil Mickelson unleashed on Chuck Schumer, calling the New York Democratic senator a “traitor” to the United States of America.
On Wednesday, Mickelson reposted footage of Schumer speaking about his opposition to Republicans’ SAVE Act, a bill that would require proof of citizenship to vote, to the social media platform X.
Schumer smugly addressed Republicans in Congress, stating, “The SAVE Act is dead on arrival.” He also assured the Senate that Democrats would not be moving forward a bill that he considered “very reminiscent of Jim Crow.” Schumer believes Republicans “want to have Jim Crow spread from one end of this country to the other.”

Teresa Earnhardt – known around these parts as the ‘Wicked Witch of NASCAR' – is up to no good yet again. I swear, you can't take your eye off this woman for one second. Not one!
Late last year, Dale Earnhardt's widow made a plan to sell 400 acres of his Mooresville farm land, and turn it into an industrial park. That's right. An industrial park! Those insufferable, disgusting-looking buildings that nobody ever, ever, goes into? Those!
Anyway, the proposal was shot down at the time, which was great news for patriots – and NASCAR fans – across the country. Done deal, right? We could all move on,

70-year-old U.S. Rep. Shri Thanedar – Detroit’s Democratic millionaire-turned-U.S. congressman – is facing a primary challenge from two Black Democrats who want to restore Black representation to Detroit.
Challenging Thanedar is not just about policy differences; it’s about representation, authenticity, and a community demanding its voice back from this incumbent who won his seat in a nine-way primary in 2022 with only 28.3% of the votes. According to the Associated Press, that victory in Detroit, as well as his re-election in 2022 – in a city that is 80% Black – left the community without Black congressional representation for the first time in over 70 years.

A Justice Department pardon attorney who was recently fired claims President Donald Trump’s pardons is depriving the government of a significant sum of money, and she’s big mad about it. Liz Oyer has been active on TikTok slamming the Trump administration over the pardons — and likely the fact that the president canned her.
In a recent video, she claimed Trump “has granted pardons that have wiped out over $1 billion in debts owed by wealthy Americans.”
When you're convicted of a financial crime, like fraud or embezzlement, the law requires you to pay back the money that you stole. It's called restitution. But the president has

Inside a Virginia courthouse, three immigration agents in plainclothes — one masked — detained a man who had just had misdemeanor assault charges dismissed. They declined to show identification or a warrant to the man, and one threatened to prosecute horrified witnesses who tried to intervene, cellphone video shows. In North Carolina, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed it arrested four people at a county courthouse, according to local media reports, prompting the sheriff to express concerns about a lack of communication from the agency as well as about disruption to court proceedings. The Army is planning a huge military parade in June to mark its 250th anniversary that could include over 6,600 soldiers, 150 military vehicles and 50 helicopters.
The plans were first reported by The Associated Press, which obtained the planning documents dated Tuesday and Wednesday but have not been publicly released.
Army spokesman Col. Dave Butler confirmed to the wire service about the possibility of the parade.
The Army has long planned its 250th anniversary festival on the National Mall, but the parade is a new potential element.
The anniversary is June 14, which is also President Trump's birthday and Flag Day.

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson slammed "relentless attacks" on judges, adding that they are "designed to intimidate." Jackson didn't mention President Trump by name in her comments Thursday, but said she was addressing “the elephant in the room,” likely referring to calls for impeachment of judges by him and others amid blocks on Trump's policies, Politico reported. “The attacks are not random. They seem designed to intimidate those of us who serve in this critical capacity,” Jackson said at a judges’ conference in Puerto Rico. “The threats and harassment are attacks on our democracy, on our system of government.

Goldman Sachs has scrubbed mentions of “Black” and other references to race from its official website touting a diversity initiative amid an industrywide rollback of so-called DEI programs and increasing scrutiny from the Trump administration, according to a report.
In 2021, the Wall Street giant launched the “One Million Black Women” program in which it pledged $10 billion in investments and $100 million in philanthropy specifically aimed at supporting black women.
Goldman in recent weeks has revised promotional language for its “One Million Black Women” initiative, removing explicit references to race and reframing the program in more generic economic terms, the Wall Street Journal reported.

President Trump said Republicans should start to think about expelling Democrats who file articles of impeachment against him from Congress, railing against two members who backed a recent resolution against him.
“The Democrats are really out of control. They have lost everything, especially their minds! These Radical Left Lunatics are into the ‘Impeachment thing’ again,” Trump wrote late Thursday on Truth Social. “They have already got two ‘No Name,’ little respected Congressmen, total Whackjobs both, throwing the ‘Impeachment’ of Donald J. Trump around, for about the 20th time, even though they have no idea for what I would be Impeached.”

California governor Gavin Newsom (D.) recently awarded taxpayer funds under a state antiterrorism program to a San Diego mosque that has been linked to 9/11 hijackers and whose imam defended the Hamas attack on Israel.
Newsom, considered a top 2028 presidential contender, awarded nearly $200,000 to the Islamic Center of San Diego in March as part of a program to help religious institutions and nonprofits beef up security to protect against potential terrorist attacks, according to state records. "Today more than ever, our state stands together to support our communities. Californians deserve the right to worship, love, and gather safely, without fear of violence,"
