Democratic political strategist James Carville expressed frustration with the state of his party on his podcast Thursday, arguing that Republicans are able to get away with lying while Democrats are held to a higher standard of credibility.
Talking to guest Ryan Lizza, a journalist, he said, "People say to me all the time, ‘James, why don’t we just do like the Republicans do? Just stand up and lie?’ Because our f*****g people wouldn’t stand for it!" Carville said. "If I stood up and lied, you would be the first person to say, ‘James Carville lost all credibility last night when he said X, Y and Z.’"

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) launched into a conspiracy-laden diatribe over the 2024 presidential election results, suggesting subpoena power would be necessary to discern whether foreign adversaries—with an assist from Department of Government Efficiency leader Elon Musk—stole the race for President Donald Trump. “Elon Musk has done nothing in the last five months to make me think that we shouldn’t ask questions about what the hell he was doing in 2024,” Swalwell said on a recent podcast, uncovered by Breitbart News, when asked about an alleged U.S. data leaked through Elon Musk’s Starlink services.

On Thursday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order defunding NPR and PBS — two taxpayer-subsidized “news” organizations that have consistently published propaganda.
The order proclaims that “Government funding of news media in this environment is not only outdated and unnecessary but corrosive to the appearance of journalistic independence.”
“At the very least, Americans have the right to expect that if their tax dollars fund public broadcasting at all, they fund only fair, accurate, unbiased, and nonpartisan news

Three years ago, the Democratic Party nominated John Fetterman to the Senate, despite his significant health problems. It wasn’t a secret: Fetterman’s brain trauma was on full display during his horrendous debate against Dr. Mehmet Oz, where he stammered, stuttered, and (repeatedly) lost his train of thought.
Fetterman won anyway, beating Oz by nearly 5% points, helping the Democrats flip the only Senate seat of the 2022 midterms, giving the Donkeys control of the Senate for the first time since 2015.
It was an important election — and a Faustian bargain:

Spring is in full throttle, with summer just around the corner. Around this time, events around me inevitably trigger the same two recurring questions, like clockwork, year after year after year. And the questions are these:
Why do these teenage girls' parents let them leave the house dressed like NFL cheerleaders?
Am I going to have to spend another summer weaving my car around rude bicyclists who think they own the road?
It is this second question I'm currently pondering, as I witnessed earlier in the day some poor sap driving a car, stuck behind a gaggle of inconsiderate male bicyclists (the rude ones are always men),

Like most of us, I suppose, the shock to our system and way of life during the government’s response to COVID-19 cannot easily be forgotten. It was our taste of ill-considered government tyranny, a public-health disaster. As more information about its origins and how the disease was handled is revealed, it always gets my attention. In sum, banking on helping defeat Trump, the public-health establishment and media suppressed more credible options for dealing with a disease which was not life-threatening to most in order to promote a vaccine then in the works. The vaccine when it was developed and administered was not terribly effective and has itself caused substantial injury.

If you thought lawfare was just about courtroom theatrics and endless sham indictments, think again. The Left has turned activist judges into one of their deadliest weapons(snip) thanks to a bombshell exclusive from investigative bulldog Laura Loomer, we’re getting a firsthand look at just how corrupt and compromised some of these judges really are. (snip) California US District Court Judge Jennifer L. Thurston, a 2021 Biden appointee who just blocked the Trump administration from arresting illegals unless they have a formal warrant. Yes, this was a wildly dangerous ruling all by itself… but it gets worse. Laura went digging and found some damning videos from the judge’s hubby

Biological male swimmer Ana Caldas absolutely dominated in the women’s races at the U.S. Masters Swimming Spring National Championship in Texas.
The races, which took place last weekend, saw 47-year-old Ana Caldas wipe the floor in the 45-49 category of five races, including the 100-yard individual medley, the 50- and 100-yard breaststroke, and the freestyle.
This quickly sparked outrage on social media, where Libs of TikTok and others remarked on the “insanity” of the situation.

Actor Sean Penn is the latest Hollywood celebrity to melt down over Donald Trump.
In a podcast appearance with former CNN host Jim Acosta and California Rep. Eric Swalwell, Penn suggested that Trump may “destroy the world” before his presidency is finished.
Here is a transcript of the exchange:
ACOSTA: Bukele needs to be told, like, there are going to be other administrations that are going to come in here that are not going to look too kindly on this. What you’re doing down there.
SWALWELL: Jim, Bukele should be told that, the law firms that are caving should be told that, the colleges that are cave in should be told that.

A few days ago, a clip with Michelle Obama from her podcast 'IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson' raised a few eyebrows.
Michelle says the following to an unseen individual:
"You're being a role model for dealing with a child that's transgender... That warms my heart, particularly as a black man."
Was this an inadvertent confession of what some have always claimed?
But before the word 'scandal' could be pronounced, the community notes on X revealed the facts. Michelle Obama was talking to actor Marlon Wayans, and her following is the entire question:
"And, you know, that warms my heart. Particularly as a Black man, um, you know,

A California railroad executive stole public funds and built a lavish apartment inside a historic train station where he lived while working eighty hours each week.
Joseph Navarro was found guilty of using $42,000 to create his own private living space inside the Burlingame train station, 16 miles south of San Francisco, the San Mateo County District Attorney announced Thursday.
Navarro, the former deputy director at Caltrain, furnished the private pad with a bedroom, living room and gym.The 67-year-old conspired with former station manager and TASI worker Seth Worden to approve building expenses to convert a part of the historic building into a dwelling, under the guise of an office remodel.

Starting Monday, student loan borrowers who find themselves in default will face government-backed involuntary collections, signaling a brand new landscape after years of pauses, delays and Biden-era relief efforts.
Garnished tax returns, Social Security payments and even wages will all be fair game on May 5 after a five-year pause on severe financial consequences that began during the economic upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Trump administration has made clear no additional debt forgiveness will be offered to borrowers as congressional Republicans look to revamp the student loan repayment system.
