President Trump used his commencement speech at the University of Alabama on Thursday to take a victory lap over his administration’s first 100 days into his second term.
“This week, we’re celebrating the most successful first 100 days of any presidential administration in the history of our country, and we’ve been given a lot of credit for that,” Trump told a crowd of college graduates in Tuscaloosa, Ala., describing the current moment as the “Golden Age.”

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released body camera footage of its 2022 encounter with Kilmar Abrego-Garcia, where state troopers suspected he was involved in human trafficking.
Garcia, 29, is a Salvadorian who illegally entered the United States in 2011 and in 2019 was issued a deportation order. Two previous judges concluded that Abrego-Garcia was likely affiliated with MS-13. He was deported in March and sent to the Terrorist Confinement Center (CECOT) in El Salvador. The Tennessee Highway Patrol pulled over Abrego-Garcia on November 30, 2022.

A Donald Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas ruled that the president unlawfully invoked the Alien Enemies Act and blocked the administration from quickly deporting some alleged members of a Venezuelan gang.
US District Judge Fernando Rodriguez of the Southern District of Texas said Trump had unlawfully invoked the sweeping 18th century wartime authority to speed up some deportations. His decision means Trump cannot rely on the law to detain or deport any alleged members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua within his district.

Former Army Special Forces officer and Republican Florida representative Mike Waltz was removed from his post as national security advisor to President Trump Thursday. The spin from the leftist media was immediately that he was fired over his role in the “Signalgate” non-scandal—but Vice President JD Vance says that’s just not so.
Waltz was almost immediately announced as the new ambassador to the United Nations, and in an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, Vance said that it should be considered a “promotion,” not retribution for the Signal brouhaha.

George Simion, the leading candidate in the upcoming Romanian presidential election, told Breitbart News that if he wins and if a similarly conservative anti-globalist candidate wins in Poland in presidential elections in May that President Donald Trump will have two major new allies in the European Union. Romania had elected hardline conservative anti-globalist Calin Georgescu late last year, but the election was called off and nullified after he was accused of being pro-Russian. The Trump administration on Thursday asked the Supreme Court to strip temporary legal protections from 350,000 Venezuelans, potentially exposing them to being deported.
The Justice Department asked the high court to put on hold a ruling from a federal judge in San Francisco that kept in place Temporary Protected Status for the Venezuelans that would have otherwise expired last month.
The status allows people already in the United States to live and work legally because their native countries are deemed unsafe for return due to natural disaster or civil strife.
A federal appeals court had earlier rejected the administration’s request.

In a new executive order published yesterday, President Donald Trump placed a target on sanctuary cities and created yet another trap for his political foes. This new proposal requires the federal government to create a list of “sanctuary” jurisdictions which refuse to cooperate with federal authorities on immigration law. It instructs various federal departments to defund sanctuary jurisdictions as much as they can under current law, and also to establish policies which verify the legal status of those who receive federal benefits in sanctuary jurisdictions.
What’s more, this executive order telegraphs that the Trump administration may escalate its legal battles.

Despite the media hysteria, Trump’s counterrevolution remains on course.
Its ultimate fate will probably rest with the state of the economy by the November 2026 midterm elections. No country can long endure without sovereignty and security—or with 10 to 12 million illegal immigrants crossing the border and half a million criminal foreign nationals roaming freely.

The Trump administration is suing both Michigan and Hawaii over the states' plans to take oil companies to court over their alleged role in causing global warming and environmental damage.
In complaints filed late Wednesday, federal prosecutors said the two states' planned actions against the oil and gas industry would directly counter the Trump administration's efforts to boost domestic energy production, enforce federal emissions laws, and conduct foreign affairs. The state's lawsuits, by blaming oil companies for weather-related damages, could decimate and bankrupt those companies, presenting an existential threat to the industry.

It doesn’t look like it’s some nefarious plot. It’s not a Deep State move, though one could probably argue otherwise. Why is Ronald Rowe, the former acting director of the Secret Service, still on the agency’s payroll? Susan Crabtree had a lengthy piece about this odd non-departure. It turns out that he could be using sick leave, which has no payout, to stay on at the Secret Service. However, there are also regulatory protections in place for senior political appointments that are set to expire after 120 days.

A Democratic lawmaker in California is pushing legislation that would decriminalize most welfare fraud.
State Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas recently introduced SB 560, a bill that would eliminate criminal penalties for instances of welfare fraud involving less than $25,000.
“California’s safety net should lift families up, not trap them in poverty,” Smallwood-Cuevas told Fox News Digital. “Right now, a missed deadline or paperwork mistake can lead to felony charges that tear families apart — even when there’s no intent to deceive. SB 560 offers a smarter, more humane approach by allowing counties to resolve most overpayment cases administratively, holding people accountable without criminalizing poverty.”

The Department of Health and Human Services released a report Thursday detailing the dangers of experimental transgender medical interventions euphemistically referred to as “gender-affirming care.”
The report marks a sea change from the Biden administration, which forcefully advocated for off-label use of hormones to make males appear female and vice versa, and surgical interventions to remove healthy body parts to “affirm” a person’s gender identity that is at odds with the person’s biological sex.
“HHS is committed to protecting children and restoring the federal government’s commitment to follow the gold standard of science,” HHS press secretary Vianca Rodriguez Feliciano told The Daily Signal in a statement Thursday.

Not every gripe that Europeans have with Donald Trump stems from his bluntness when he tells them the truth--Danish people aren't wrong when they say Trump is being rude to demand that they hand over Greenland to the US, even if Trump believes that the Danes can't defend the strategically-located territory. Still, the hatred for Trump has nothing to do with tariffs or bullying.
European leaders hate him because he will tell them hard truths they desperately want to deny. German diplomats literally laughed when Trump warned them that they were too dependent on Russian gas, but after the invasion of Ukraine and the bombing of the Nord Stream pipeline

"Diversity is our strength" has always been a stupid assertion. It is a slogan, a bumper sticker, and as sincerely meant by its proponents as the "COEXIST" bumper sticker slapped on the car of a pro-Hamas protester.
Generally, when you encounter somebody who uses that phrase like a weapon to push back on your values or a defense of Western culture, what lies beneath the banal phrase is a much darker idea: submit, or else.
It's no secret that Great Britain and much of Europe are becoming Islamized, and that Islamists are not at all interested in diversity. That's not a dark accusation--hundreds of

Nigerian Christians are facing one of the most violent years in two decades of genocide by Islamic jihadis, according to a Christian advocacy group.
Between January and the close of April, International Christian Concern (ICC) says that it had documented “a dramatic rise in attacks against Christian communities in Nigeria.” In the span of a little over three months, ICC soberly reported, over 300 Christians were killed. Dozens more were abducted while thousands were displaced as Islamic jihadi violence continues to escalate in Nigeria. Unfortunately, Nigerian authorities still largely fail to address the raging violence or help its victims.

If you haven't watched one of Donald Trump's cabinet meetings, I highly recommend it. They're a treasure trove of updates on what's going on in the country straight from each cabinet member without the filter of the fake news, and they're often pretty entertaining. They're also run by Trump himself, not the first lady. As a matter of fact, I was getting ready to run a few errands when the one on Thursday took place, and next thing I knew, it was an hour later.
Yesterday's cabinet meeting was a mix of celebrating the Trump administration's first 100 days in office and revealing just how awful the Joe Biden administration truly

“If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it,” the former first lady said while appearing on “The Diary of a CEO” podcast, released Thursday.
Her response came after host Steven Bartlett noted that the former first lady’s absence at President Trump’s inauguration in January ignited online chatter of discord in the couple’s 32-year union.
Not attending the inauguration, Bartlett said, led some to think “there’s an issue with you and Barack, there’s a divorce coming.”

The couple is poised to join the ABC daytime talk show next Thursday to “discuss life after [Biden’s] presidency, his legacy, Democrats’ election losses, and the current political landscape,” the network said in a Thursday statement.
Biden has been slowly stepping back into the spotlight since exiting the White House following former Vice President Kamala Harris’s loss to President Trump in November.
Last month, Biden delivered his first public address after leaving office at a conference in Chicago.

The U.S. Forest Service on Thursday will evict dozens of homeless people living in an encampment in a federal forest in central Oregon.
The federal agency has been working for years on plans to close part of the Deschutes National Forest near Bend for forest restoration and wildfire mitigation. But the number of people living in that part of the forest has grown, after many lost homes during the coronavirus pandemic, said Jesse Rabinowitz, representative for the National Homelessness Law Center.
People who refuse to leave could face one year in jail, $5,000 in fines, or both, Rabinowitz said.
He said it will be the Trump administration’s first significant homeless encampment eviction.

Archaeologists recently made a startling discovery: They found that two 18th-century shipwrecks off the coast of Central America were actually two Danish slave ships.
The ships, named Fridericus Quartus and Christianus Quintus, are located in shallow waters off Costa Rica's Cahuita National Park. The 18th-century vessels were shipwrecked in 1710, according to the National Museum of Denmark.
"Fridericus Quartus was set ablaze, while Christianus Quintus had its anchor rope cut, following which the ship was wrecked in the surf," the museum's press release noted. "Until now, it has not been clear exactly where the ships were lost."

A majority of the Supreme Court signaled Wednesday that they will allow the creation of the nation's first overtly religious charter school. Dividing along the usual lines, Justices Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Thomas were in favor. Chief Justice Roberts didn't commit himself, but he's been in the majority on every religious freedom case heard by the Supreme Court. Justice Barrett recused herself because a group she was affiliated with at Notre Dame was part of the charter school legal team.
At issue was the application of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City to create the St. Isidore of Seville online charter school.

CNN, once a proud network that redefined the news industry, has become a joke over the past decade (or more) and is now just a parade of extremist journalists peddling their woke values. Kentucky Republican Scott Jennings is one of the few voices of reason at the outlet, but as we’ve reported, he may be taking his talents elsewhere in the future. I mean, how long can you hang around in Crazytown?
But even for CNN, this exchange was an 11 on the Nutso Scale. The episode featured virulent anti-everything-normal "The View" host contributor Ana Navarro, who spews division and hate as if she’s a fire-breather at a carnival show.

Let’s get the big news out of the way: The economy shrank by 0.3% during the first quarter of 2025, a mild but not wholly unexpected drop blamed by nearly everyone on President Donald Trump’s tariff hikes. Is that the first step toward a recession, or, as Trump put it, just a result of the “Biden overhang”?
First, let’s just note one big thing: The media can’t help but show its glaring bias against Trump even when it reports boring data, such as the barely negative GDP number.
“Honey, Trump shrunk the economy! And the lying coward is still blaming Biden,” as a particularly crass opinion on USA Today said.

It’s a new era in the U.S. Senate.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune is celebrating the new GOP majority’s breakneck pace, telling Breitbart News he is proud of the chamber’s increased frequency of votes and how Republicans this year are scrambling to get President Donald Trump’s appointees in place. Republicans took a 53-seat majority in the Senate in November, retaking control of the chamber for the first time in four years where Democrats led by now-Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had controlled the Senate. Republicans under Thune are not wasting any time racing Trump’s nominees and the president’s agenda through.

Sheryl Crow has revealed that an armed man had “barged onto her property” after she posted a now-viral video of her selling her Tesla in protest of Elon Musk.
The “If It Makes You Happy” hitmaker, 63, shared a clip on social media in which she happily waved goodbye to her electric car in February as it was towed away from her Nashville, Tenn., home.
Crow divided fans when she said that she would donate the money to NPR after the radio network received criticism from the Tesla founder when the Department of Government Efficiency looked to slash funding.
On Wednesday, the 9-time Grammy winner revealed that she discovered an armed man

A little-known grantmaking entity within the State Department created an anti-Israel program without adequate authorization during the Biden administration. Now, President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio plan to shut it down.
The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) offered nearly $1 million to nonprofit groups for investigating alleged human rights abuses in Israel, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank, the Washington Free Beacon reported in 2022. DRL instructed applicants to "collect, archive, and maintain human rights documentation to support justice and accountability and civil society-led advocacy efforts, which may include documentation of legal or security sector violations and housing, land, and property rights."

A Democratic lawmaker's decision to skip a key vote on Donald Trump's new tariffs has sparked backlash from other Democrats. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse missed the vote to rebuke Trump's global tariffs on Wednesday, which ended in a 49-49 tie, before Vice President JD Vance traveled to Capitol Hill to cast a tiebreaking vote against the resolution. Even if it did pass the Senate, the House wasn't expected to take up the resolution after Republicans passed a rule that specifically blocks this type of resolution until the end of September. Trump would also likely have vetoed the resolution if it reached

She didn’t avoid the elephant in the room.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris emerged from political hibernation to deliver a stern rebuke of President Trump — soon descending into one of her trademark word salads, this time bizarrely focusing on a viral video of elephants during an earthquake.
“A lot of folks are wondering what’s going to guide us through this moment. How are we all going to figure out how to chart the course,” Harris said during her Wednesday address at Emerge’s 20th anniversary gala in San Francisco. “Please allow me, friends, to digress for a moment.”

Hunter Biden abruptly dropped his lawsuit Wednesday against two Internal Revenue Service whistleblowers who alleged a wide-ranging cover-up in the Department of Justice to stonewall the tax fraud investigation into him.
The Biden scion had slapped a lawsuit against the two whistleblowers in 2023, alleging that they “targeted and sought to embarrass Mr. Biden via public statements to the media in which they and their representatives disclosed confidential information about a private citizen’s tax matters.”
Without detailing a specific reason why, the scandal-scarred 55-year-old voluntarily moved to dismiss his lawsuit against Gary Shapley, who was an IRS supervisory special agent at the time in question, and Joe Ziegler, who was an agent.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas jihadists committed an unspeakably evil atrocity against Jews living in Israel. Within hours of the Nazi-like pogrom, nearly three dozen separate groups of Harvard University students blamed the Jews for it. Did the Harvard “Students for Justice in Palestine” (SJP) chapter have, as a recently filed lawsuit alleges the Columbia SJP chapter had, advance knowledge of the massacre? [SNIP] Harvard cannot claim to care about the plight of Jews on its campus while simultaneously suing for its “right” to bilk the American taxpayer while appearing to defy the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It’s really that simple. Some circles just can’t be squared.
