As most of our readers know, beloved Salem Radio Network host Dennis Prager suffered a devastating fall from a ladder in November and is paralyzed below the neck.
I reported in early March:
[His son] David said his father suffered an "incomplete" spinal cord injury when he fell from a ladder on Nov. 12, which means he could potentially regain neural functioning. "He's recuperating very well. The last month has been a really, really great moving in the right direction," he said. "Unfortunately, he's still paralyzed below the neck, but he's speaking beautifully. He's eating now, drinking now. That was stuff that wasn't happening only

Remember when all national polls said Kamala was popular? Yeah, that’s why it’s so hard to take seriously a new CNN one showing that a majority of Americans now supposedly say the Trump administration has “gone too far … when it comes to deporting immigrants living in the United States illegally.”
According to the poll, 52 percent of respondents agreed the president’s crackdown on deportations has been excessive (though in what sense, the poll doesn’t say). It’s a 7-point increase from when the question was asked in February.
I’m skeptical that even a quarter of Americans (as in, actual U.S. citizens, not just whoever picked up CNN’s phone call)

An Iranian official confirmed on Friday that Iran and Russia are partnering on the construction of a new nuclear plant in Iran, which will be funded “using Moscow’s credit line.”
According to The Algemeiner, Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad met with Russian Minister of Energy Sergei Tsivilev in Moscow on Friday for the 18th Joint Economic Cooperation Commission. The outlet reported that Paknejad confirmed that the two countries were strengthening cooperation in “peaceful” nuclear energy and would be building a new nuclear plant in Iran with Russian funding. Paknejad announced, “Iran and Russia will continue their cooperation in the peaceful use

Canada held elections on Tuesday, and in a stunning development, Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party completed the comeback. While the conservatives did make gains compared to the last decade, left-winger Mark Carney will remain prime minister, and the bill is about to come due.
After suffering under years of Trudeau's disastrous leadership, Canadians had a chance to change course. Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, who was the odds-on favorite to win the election just a few months ago, had promised to lift his nation out of its decline, promoting personal and economic freedom.
The choice should have been clear. Instead, the voters of Canada decided that what they needed

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is reportedly issuing the code red on any further Democrat trips to El Salvador. It’s part of the Democratic Party’s obsession with busting out Abrego Garcia, an illegal alien living in Maryland who got shipped back to his home country. The Democrats tried to stake their claim that he wasn’t an MS-13 member. As it turns out, the evidence proving that Garcia is a gang member and a domestic abuser could scale K2. So, it’s prudent for the leader of House Democrats to put the kibosh on these Club Med trips to Central America to visit this wife-beating gangbanger. Well, now Jeffries' office is

The Trump administration is reportedly considering sending illegal immigrants with criminal records to Libya and Rwanda.
CNN reported on Wednesday that the administration is currently in talks with the governments of the two nations to facilitate such a deal. The report suggests this could be an effort to deter foreigners from entering the US illegally. "The proposals mark a dramatic escalation in the administration’s push to deter people journeying to the United States and remove some of those already here to countries thousands of miles away, some of which have checkered pasts. President Donald Trump signed an executive order in January directing top officials to facilitate international cooperation and agreements

In between the fall of the Roman Empire and the birth of the Italian Renaissance, Western Europe economically stagnated and culturally declined in what are commonly called the Dark Ages.
This period, which lasted several centuries, has become known as the Dark Ages primarily because societal advancements and human progress generally ceased as sound science, facts, and the truth were disregarded by elites who sought power and control.
Sadly, Western Europe is treading down this road again.
A few days ago, Spain, Portugal, and parts of France and Belgium literally went dark for hours after a massive power disruption led to a system-wide grid collapse.

Reform UK has gained a new Member of Parliament by just six votes, won its first mayor, and picked up more councillors than all other parties combined in early results in a historic night.
Nigel Farage celebrated a “huge night for Reform” where his party showed all signs of having “cut deep” into the votes of both the governing Labour Party and official opposition the Conservatives, who he said Reform was now supplanting. Crucially, the party won major contests against both UK legacy political parties, underlining Farage’s claim that Reform is not merely a force on the right but something above the old

President Donald Trump late Thursday announced plans to designate May 8 as World War II “Victory Day” in the United States, which coincides with the “Victory in Europe Day” that has been celebrated in most of Europe since the Germans surrendered in 1945.
Trump acknowledged in a Truth Social that “many of our allies and friends” already celebrate on May 8, but said America should join in because “we did more than any other Country, by far, in producing a victorious result.”
On May 7, 1945, the Germans surrendered to the Allied Forces, and agreed to cease all operations the next day. World War II officially ended later in the year

President Trump signed an executive order late Thursday terminating federal funding for National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).
NPR and PBS, which have long been targeted for cuts by conservatives, both receive partial funding through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which the president argued is unnecessary in the current media environment.
“Government funding of news media in this environment is not only outdated and unnecessary but corrosive to the appearance of journalistic independence,” Trump wrote in the order. “The CPB Board shall cease direct funding to NPR and PBS, consistent with my Administration’s policy to ensure that Federal funding does not support biased and partisan news coverage,”

She's the queen of Capitol gains.
New Jersey congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (D.) has banked millions of dollars since coming to Congress in 2019, a review of her financial disclosures by the Washington Free Beacon shows.
In her 2019 financial disclosures, Sherrill reported assets totaling between $733,209 and $4,321,000. By 2024, those figures had ballooned to between $4,840,076 and $13,975,000. The wide swing of ranges comes because federal financial disclosure forms require each asset to be listed as between a range of values. That requirement means that Sherrill, in theory, could have only seen an asset increase of roughly $500,000, but that possibility is unlikely.
