It seems there might be a trend back towards the trades beginning to appear among the Gen Z crowd.
Some of the reasons seem obvious to me - the bloated cost of a college education, for one, and the ubiquitous nature of the sheepskin being required for even entry-level jobs now.

Interim United States attorney for Washington, D.C., Ed Martin, on Thursday sent a letter to the parent company of Wikipedia, accusing it of possibly violating its nonprofit obligations by allowing editors to publish disinformation aimed at the American people.
Martin, an ally of President Donald Trump, accused Wikimedia of engaging in activities that negatively impact the neutrality of the online project.
The Wikipedia website was founded in 2000 to “create and distribute a free encyclopedia of the highest possible quality to every single person on the planet in their own language,” according to one of the company's co-founders.

The San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women voted unanimously Wednesday to fire agency director Kimberly Ellis following a months-long ethics probe into what Mayor Daniel Lurie called “unlawful activities,” the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Virginia Giuffre, the most prominent victim of late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, took her own life Thursday — just weeks after she made headlines for saying she had “four days to live” following a collision with a bus.
“It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia,” the 41-year-old’s family said in a statement to NBC News.
