‘We Weren’t Always Dorks’: The Dems

The worst part about being chairman of the College Republican club at my school (shoutout to JMU) was constantly being hit on by babes. I’d tell them, “Stop, please, I’m trying to do important work here. Go harass the football star instead.” But NOOOO. They just wouldn’t leave me alone. I never had a moment’s peace. Because, obviously, nothing’s sexier than being in a political party. It’s the coolest thing ever! Okay, I’m lying. Most of the time, talking politics is an anti-aphrodisiac: People either don’t care at all — or they care WAY too much. (Hide the knives.) Neither party had a positive Q rating,

You're not going to have much luck with a makeover if you keep putting out cringe stuff like that 'Pick your Fighter' garbage. This was a desperate ploy from unserious people....and one or two of you looked like Joe Biden trying to keep from going in his drawers! Very sad.

Reading the article, I was worried it wasn't going to get to the crux of the matter, "It’s a reality problem.". Dems have been obsessed with their messaging. They seem to think that if they package up their septic tank ideas just the right way, the public will like the smell. But the problem is their ideas are irrational, always fail, and they REEK. By now, at least some of the dems have to realize that their ideas have been tried many times and never seem to work out. So WHY do they keep trying to sell them? Why not pivot to better ideas? This brings us to the other major problem of the dem party, half of their base is nuts. Some have them have been drinking the dem kool aid for so long that they cannot question it. I defines their view of who they are. To question it would be to seriously shake their personal image of themselves. And almost all of these people have terrible reasoning skills. Since they cannot reason through conflict, they adopt positions and weld themselves emotionally to those positions. That's why the angst is so strong when those positions are challenged. It's perceived as a personal assault. And, "All my friends think this is the right way to see this" as well. It's a powerful social bond. So, it's not just trying to change ONE person's mind, it's assaulting the whole socially bonded herd. If "I" start to think differently about "this", all my friends will hate me. The problem is, you cannot rationally discuss things with crazy people. So the dem party is dragging these nuts around with them and they have to mollify them or risk losing them or having them explode in the party's face. Yet, the dems are powerless right now. They cannot take much political action. So they have to find ways to act out that will appeal to their nutty base. Of course, nutty ideas follow. Naturally, nutty dem ideas seem stupid to the rest of the country so we drift further from the dem party. The dems are caught in a Doom Loop.

Democrats in my lifetime have always been power mongers who don’t live in reality. They believe their own fantasies as being real and they believe that anyone who questions their insanity is stupid or simply uneducated.

Au Contraire. Rush Limbaugh built a long, successful career on your Dorkism that manifested itself strongly with the James Carter and Billy Jeff Clinton administrations but that's only because I began following politics back then because BJ and Satanette were so bad. The dems in Washington may be powerless and toothless right now but they still have a stranglehold in some states. The housecleaning is not yet complete.

In most cases, "dorks" are somewhat lovable. Democrats are anti-God, anti-Bible, anti-morality, anti-American, Communist and EVIL. Nothing even slightly "lovable" exists there.

The Democrats can't run on their opinions. They have to run on results. And they don't have any. Their cities are atrocious. everything they have had control of is corrupt and tottering and unjust and divisive and insanely expensive and partisan and conceited. Gonna run on that?

Lot of truth in here. They weren't always dorks, and the far-left lunatics among them were marginalized. Bernie Sanders was regarded as a bipartisan joke, now he's mainstream Democrat. No JFK's, LBJ's, even Jimmy Carter's or Mondale's, but the real dorkiness probably started with Obama. Now? Adam Schiff, Jeremy Raskin, Tim Walz, Doug Emhoff, David Hogg, et. al. With very few exceptions, not a nanogram of testosterone left. And let's not even get started on their "women."

Former Obama advisor Van Jones declared that the Democratic Party was "screwed" and trapped between two deeply unpopular factions. The CNN commentator couldn’t help but laugh at the "nightmare" Democrats were in when asked about the ongoing friction between party members. "Look, man, we’re screwed," Jones said on "CNN Newsroom" Sunday. "I mean, Democrats don’t know what to do. This is a nightmare. You know, somebody like Donald Trump, we thought we’d at least have Hakeem Jeffries in the Speaker’s chair to hold him back if we didn‘t have Kamala in there to do the right thing."

President Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky apologized to Trump in a letter after a explosive public argument during an Oval Office meeting. “Zelensky sent a letter to the president. He apologized for that whole incident that happened in the Oval Office,” Witkoff said Monday on Fox News. “I think that it was an important step and there’s been a lot of discussion between our teams and the Ukrainians and the Europeans who are relevant to this discussion as well.” U.S. and Ukrainian officials are set to meet in Saudi Arabia this week to pick back up on peace negotiations to end the war with Russia.

The Department of Homeland Security is now encouraging illegal immigrants to self-deport with a new version of the defunct CBP One app, which the Biden administration used to facilitate the entry of more than 1 million aliens. The revamped CBP Home app includes a “Submit Intent to Depart” feature that allows illegal immigrants to voluntarily leave the country instead of getting deported by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. After notifying their intent to leave, users can verify their departure. The app was rolled out on Monday.

The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear a case that could determine if mental health professionals in the United States can legally engage in conversations aimed at helping young clients struggling with their gender identity to accept their biological sex. The case, Chiles v. Salazar, involves a Christian counselor in Colorado, Kaley Chiles, who sued over a state law that prohibits so-called “conversion therapy” for minors. Her lawyers with the conservative Alliance Defending Freedom, or ADF, say the government’s one-sided censorship of private conversations between clients and counselors violates the First Amendment’s free-speech protections.

Ukraine may not be able to survive against Russia even with U.S. support, President Donald Trump said in a Fox News interview that aired on Sunday. “Well, it may not survive anyway,” Trump said in an interview on Sunday Morning Futures when asked about his decision to roll back U.S. aid for Ukraine. “We have some weaknesses with Russia. It takes two. Look, it was not going to happen — that war and it happened. So now we’re stuck with this mess.” “I just don’t think he’s grateful,” Trump added, referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

President Donald Trump is ushering in a new age of peace, stability and cooperation in the region, according to Hassan bin Youssef Yassin, a senior Saudi diplomat and advisor to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, who expressed strong support for the President’s efforts to create a “new world order” based on coexistence and cooperation, as he urged Arab nations to back his initiative as they did in the past. In an article published Tuesday in Arab News, Yassin argues that President Trump’s shift to diplomacy — particularly with global powers — offers an opportunity to resolve long-standing conflicts, including the Arab-Israeli dispute.
