As Catholics around the world celebrate Lent, the Vatican, under the stewardship of radical leftist Pope Francis, wants to make sure that Ramadan is at the forefront.
In a Ramadan message to Muslims, authored by Prefect George Jacob Cardinal Koovakad and Secretary Msgr. Indunil Kodithuwakku Janakaratne Kankanamalage, the Vatican highlighted that the two religious seasons seasons coinciding is “a unique opportunity to walk, side by side.”
The message, addressed to the Church’s ‘Muslim brothers and sisters,’ reads, “At the beginning of the month of Ramadan, the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue offers you its warmest greetings and friendship. This time of

Weird.
A Pope I appreciated (not Catholic myself) was Pope John Paul II.
He admonished Catholics to NEVER marry a Muslim.
Now we see a commie Pope who wants to meld Islam with Catholicism.
Has he seen what's happening to Christians in Syria?

Secretary Msgr. Indunil Kodithuwakku Janakaratne Kankanamalage. Huh?
Is that 2 people mentioned or the name of 1 person?
BTW, update on the 88 year old Socialist Pope. 24 days in a row in the hospital. Ventilation continues. Responding well to double pneumonia treatment. Overall health condition is "complex".
"As Pope Francis entered another week in hospital, hundreds of pilgrims travelled to a hilltop town to pray at the tomb of St. Francis, the medieval saint after whom the pontiff is named."

"The Vatican announced weeks ago that Francis would not be celebrating this year's Easter Sunday Mass at St. Peter's Basilica this year, due to his ongoing recovery."

The Pinko Pope. Let's hope the next one is another John Paul. Far be it for this Presbyterian to give advice to The Vatican, but a dose of common sense is badly needed.

Anti-pope, Judas Priest. Catholics better startblooking for leaders outside the Vatican's Marxist/Pedophiles. When Priests stop preaching God's word, they are not longer in God's grace. If they lead his flocks astray, will God ignore it?

Islam, according to the Koran which believers say is Allah's actual words, states categorically that non-Muslims can be treated in only one of three ways: (1) They must convert to Islam or, (2) They must be treated as slaves and pay a tax for the privilege or, (3) They must be killed. Seems Frank is ether willfully ignorant or has put a Jesuit woke spin on what to every Muslim is not just plain as day but also a religious obligation.

Could you please lay off the Holy Father, who is near to if not dying. And could you lay off the Aint it Awful trope in particular. The Holy Father believes and professes the Creed and the rest of the Catechism. He does not have to perform at Christianity. As for what the Church thinks of other religions, here it is: close connection to the Orthodox bc they believe in Jesus as a Messiah and share the Apostolic Succession. Next out is Protestantism, which is minus the Apostolic Succession. Next out is Judaism which believes in a Messiah but not that it is Jesus. Next out is those who believe in God but not a Messiah. This is where Islam is, together with Unitarians etc. it is pretty high up on the list. Next out is those who believe there is something or other. Next out is those who are truly seeking. And if I recall correctly, last on the list are the sick and politicians. This is the order we pray in on Good Friday. So, think it over when you subject the Holy Father to politics. We will be thinking of you as a perfect example when we giggle on Good Friday at the Last Place Of All in the Entire Salvation Hierarchy being the Politics-Obsessed. At least I will. Lay Off the Pope. he is dying. Lay Off.

I echo #10 message. 'Judge not lest ye be judged', Christ warns in the Gospel of Matthew. I don't like who Francis hangs with and often seems to say. But I do not know his heart nor his faith or sins. This is all in God's hands and we should focus on our own shortcomings for when we ourselves stand before the Judgement Seat. As to Ramadan, I think that there is room to admire Islam's focus on fasting, prayer, and reflection. It is exactly what Christians should do during Lent. Given Islam's directives to kill non-believers (of Islam) and its treatment of women, I am not suggesting we see Islam as a true route to Salvation. But we might should take the good and throw out the bad.

# 10 - Catholic school girl here. (Well old lady now,) I was taught catechism by Spranish nuns. Attended church every Sunday. Made First Communion and Confirmation. So I know a little bit about being Catholic. At no point were we ever taught to embrace Islam. In fact we were told, every year during catechism, that only Catholics could get to heaven. Up to this pope, they all followed what we were taught, being religious and obeying the rules of the church. This pope is not Catholic. He's a disgrace to the title and religion. I respect all religions except the one that says 'kill all the infidels.' So should you.

We've all heard Obama discussing the need for "transformations" before, so it's no surprise that Frank, Sweet Barry Hussein's hand-picked Pontiff, never fails to disappoint. For his Muslim buddies only want us all very dead.

I see this as a shift towards the one world religion of the end times, which says that all paths and all religions lead to God--except, at some point, they will denounce the only TRUE way (i.e., faith in Jesus Christ alone).
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
As for #10 and #11, false doctrines--especially those that mislead people and point them away from Christ--should ALWAYS be judged, and judged harshly.

Sure. A religion that exhorts their followers to kill all non believers, which includes Catholics, btw, is close to Catholisism. Dumbest thing I have ever read on this site.

Marxolicism is on its way to Marxolicislam. All it took was the right agent of 'transformation'.
