‘Living in a Bubble’: How Zelensky
Miscalculated Trump

For three years in the United States, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was heralded as the second coming of Winston Churchill. He earned standing ovations from Congress, posed for glossy photo shoots, and received regular envoys of politicians, celebrities, and press from the West. But one moment in the Oval Office may have ended it all. Zelensky publicly crossed his greatest ally, calling into question before the press whether President Trump and Vice President Vance, now seeking to negotiate a peace deal, really understood both the land war in his country and his enemy, Russian President Vladimir Putin. He was summarily kicked out of the White House.

Zelensky just got reality checked by Trump. The United States spent 350 billion that it does not have to prop up Ukraine in a war it doesn't look like it can win. Ukraine will lose the war. The only question left is how to make Russia lose the war too. Don't know if that is possible. The only time Russia stayed out of Ukraine was when Ukraine had nukes. Don't think we want to go there.

All these 'pundits' miss the fact that this was a Deep State/CIA setup of both leaders. The INTENT was to get them angry at each other and wreck the chances for peace. Trump set up. Zelenskyy set up. Now both are mad, and neither sees that they were manipulated by the lying frauds in "Trump's negotiating team" who actually were working against Trump, against peace and set this whole train wreck up.

Zelensky is a fool. Is this really the smartest leader Ukrainians could find? The mineral deal was pure genius by Trump in my mind. Sure it got the US aid repaid, but more importantly for Ukraine it made us their financial partner. Put Americans on the ground there to work with them. Eventually there surely would have been joint military training as the relationship progressed. What does he have now? IDIOT.

A handful of European leaders are coming under the microscope of critics on social media for issuing pro-Ukraine messages with the exact same wording following Ukraine President Vlodomyr Zelenskyy's fiery meeting with President Donald Trump on Friday. "Your dignity honours the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa. We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace," read verbatim social media posts from at least five different European leaders since Friday.

A while back I made mention of one of my favorite short stories: Gimple the Fool. It was written by Isaac Bashevis Singer, about a baker who becomes the laughingstock of his village, for insisting on believing the chastity of his unfaithful wife who had sex with half the town and multiple children by other men, though she adamantly insisted the kids were Gimple’s. Today, I’d like to amend the title to something a bit more newsworthy: Zelensky the Fool. Because that’s what Ukrainian President Volodmyr Zelensky is now, especially since he insulted America and President Donald Trump in that televised Oval Office meeting.

Friday's extraordinary Oval Office meeting between President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy went off the rails, leaving hopes for a U.S.-brokered peace deal between Russia and Ukraine in question. Here are some reasons why things went wrong, and where it leaves efforts to end the war. 1. Zelenskyy does not grasp—or deliberately ignores—the bitter truth: Those with whom he feels most affinity (Western globalists, the American Left, the Europeans) have little power in 2025 to help him. And those whom he obviously does not like or seeks to embarrass (as with his Scranton, Penn. campaign-like visit in September 2024)

Volodymyr Zelensky did not wear a suit and the Ukrainian president did not sign a minerals deal with the United States, either. Instead, the wartime leader was unceremoniously kicked out of the White House after tangling with President Trump and Vice President Vance. Trump has been pushing for an end to the land war in Europe since returning to office, meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer this week to find a path to peace. Those meetings went well. His sit-down with Zelensky did not. The breakdown occurred when Zelensky called into question the efficacy of diplomatic efforts with Russian President

President Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he was “gambling with World War III” during a fiery Oval Office exchange Friday. The high-stakes visit went off the rails shortly after Vice President JD Vance tore into Zelensky for seeming to slight his American counterparts. The VP said it was “disrespectful for Zelensky to come into the Oval Office, litigating in front of the American media” — setting off a shouting match among the men. “Right now, you guys are going around and forcing conscripts to the front lines because you have manpower problems, you should be thanking the president for wanting to bring an end to the conflict,” Vance said.

The White House press corps has nerve complaining about access to the president after it raised barely a peep in protest at Joe Biden being practically AWOL his entire presidency. Biden didn’t even hold a press conference until two months in. The handful of press conferences he did conduct were a bad joke, in which he would take three or four questions from preselected reporters, whose names and photographs were printed on a card. Yet he still got fawning praise from the Washington media. The worst insult they could muster was “boring,” but the Baltimore Sun even spun that into “Biden’s superpower.

At some point, some president was going to have to stop the unsustainable spending and borrowing. To have any country left, some president would eventually have had to restore a nonexistent border and stop the influx of 3 million illegal aliens a year. Some commander-in-chief finally would have to try to stop the theater wars abroad. But any president who dared to do any of that would be damned for curbing the madness that his predecessors fueled. And so none did -- until now.

Most writers are familiar with three words made famous by novelist Stephen King: “Kill your darlings.” Why am I telling you this? Because it directly relates to what Tesla CEO Elon Musk and President Donald Trump are trying to do with the federal government. King’s writing advice isn’t as violent as it sounds. He’s speaking of the well-known concept that when it comes to words, less is more. Brevity is better. Yet, that forces writers to take a hard look at their own creation. Once something is on paper (or the computer screen) it becomes hard to “kill” it. It’s yours, after all. The same holds true of the federal government,

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has agreed to a draft of a minerals deal with the White House on Tuesday, according to reports. Reuters reported on Tuesday that the Ukrainian leader plans to travel to D.C. on Friday to meet with President Donald Trump after the officials agreed to the terms of the deal. The pact, which would involve giving the U.S. access to natural resources in exchange for America’s support of Ukraine amid its war with Russia, was days in the making. Trump said on Friday that his administration was "pretty close" to striking a deal, and on Monday, he hinted that a meeting between him and Zelenskyy was imminent.

To find an impossible peace between Ukraine and Russia we must understand the recent history of the war and the European and American roles in it. So, Americans should revisit some fundamental realities and questions from which to remember before going forward. Why Did Putin Invade Ukraine in 2022? Putin did start the war. Trump’s trolling aside, he knows that because he correctly pointed out that Putin invaded his neighbors in three of the last four administrations—but not his own, given Trump’s deterrence. The most obvious answer why Putin did is that he thought he easily could. But why in 2022—as he had in 2008 and 2014?

According to his statements, Starmer told Trump he would work with Macron +2 unidentified countries (a “coalition of the willing”), to organize an EU security force for a Ukraine ceasefire; then the group will require Trump to provide a U.S. troop “backstop” as an insurance policy. In the late 1920s, he recognized that unions would soon cut into his bottom line. To stave off the rise of unions in filmmaking, Mayer brought top producers, actors, and “Arts and Sciences” guys together and sweet-talked them into patting themselves on the back. It likely wasn't a hard sell. Actors love actors – particularly the one in the mirror. Douglas Fairbanks Sr. was elected president. What was next? Actors needed a vehicle to publicly
