British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is holding a Ukraine summit in London today with EU leaders, following two phone calls with President Trump. According to the outline Starmer proposed on BBC News, following the disastrous Zelenskyy meeting in the White House, the British PM called President Trump and also Emmanuel Macron. According to his statements, Starmer told Trump he would work with Macron +2 unidentified countries (a “coalition of the willing”), to organize an EU security force for a Ukraine ceasefire; then the group will require Trump to provide a U.S. troop “backstop” as an insurance policy. Starmer completely ignores the NATO provocations against Russia that preceded the military operation

The heck with being a "backstop". Did NATO forget that Norway is banning the refueling of U.S. ships? Absolutely no American troops should be involved. Sorry Z, but you have come to the end of the line. Who knows what has happened to the billions. Now you want "backstop"? Forget it. It was made clear yesterday that the U.S. is not their patsy any longer.

Not a chance of this happening. The Military Industrial Complex is floundering big time. It's why they lost their poster girl Ms Ladybug Lindsay! Norway won't fuel our ships, but NATO wants our children to fight for them! I say no way. Trump wants to end all these conflicts, and get the major powers to downsize their military threat. To spend that money on our citizens. There's lots of folks who don't want that, but the people do! No soup for Zelinski. Major pull back from NATO. De-escalation of hostilities with Russia and China.

Europe is about to fall on its face trying to drag the US into Ukraine's mess, especially after Zelensky's thuggish performance in the WH. Europe's guarantees are a joke. They lack the capability to back them up. Europe has no leverage. Trump isn't that stupid and it's astonishing that Europe doesn't know that by now. Zelensky is already wandering in the desert. Using Europe in an attempt to strongarm Trump is Zelensky's death knell. At this point, the largest impediment to peace isn't Putin, it's Zelensky. And Zelensky is expendable.

Seems the UK and EU are given no serious thought to triggering a WW. If they want to play that game the US can't stop them BUT the US can tell them they are on their own and there will be no US troops on the ground in Europe - bring home those currently there will send the message loud and clear. Limit what is to come to Europe without Daddy's assistance and there is a fair probability that clearer thinking may rear its head. If not, FAFO!

Does this socialist Brit weenie actually think that President Trump is gonna fall for this? It’s high time we let Europe fend for itself. Pull ALL of our troops and equipment out, and come home. It will be fun to watch as every bunch of twits in Europe have to scrap all their social welfare programs, and spend that money for weapons and uniforms, and try to get all their young men into their withered armies so they can go and defend Ukraine for the third time in the last 110 years. Looking at this in a rational light, I assume these two are planning to act as insulators between Trump and zelinsky the unhinged, and then hold zelinsky's hand while he signs. Or maybe europe wants to keep fighting to the last drop of ukraine's blood. That's irrational if they can't even supply a peace enforcing force after a truce. Or maybe they are just as crazy and greedy as they appear to be. Zelinsky screwed the pooch. At the behest of europe or are they trying to save his bacon?

if we are in the group, then what is different from Ukraine joining NATO which is "no-go" territory for Putin. he won't negotiate. this is just like the "security guarantee" buzz word talking points of Zelensky via Obama/Rice et al on Friday - which would put ceasefire talks on the skids. and that is where DJT wants to go. "back-up" "security guarantees" "NATO" are all roads to the same locus which is a deadend for getting Putin to the table. geesh.

One of the YT channels covering the Ukraine War used to try to cover it objectively and keep politics out. Lately, the channel influencers themselves seem to have lost it and are now showing signs of TDS. This same channel suggested recently that Europe was likely to split from the US and set up its own economic and militiary sphere with France at its apex. Oh, goodie -- the French finally get the "multipolar" world they claim to want -- one with them at the top of one of the poles. Problem is, the French don't understand that it costs a lot more to back up "soft power diplomacy" with hard military power, which France and the rest of Europe don't have in credible quantities. I expect this European meltdown to subside to PDJT's favor in a few days.

I hope Trump doesn't fall for this backstop nonsense. This is just Europe's attempt to drag the US into war. Whenever the US is called into action somewhere in the world, we always put together a 'coalition' of NATO nations to help. Within the first 6 weeks, countries start dropping out, and eventually the US is left holding the bag. Nothing will change here. If Starmer wants to help Ukraine, go for it, but leave the US out. The EU can put on its big boy pants and show US what you can do.

If Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is on a mission to prove to Americans that the “D” in Democrat stands for delusional, she has been a smashing success. The trash-talking new face of the demoralized party did it again on Tuesday, the day of President Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress, when she proclaimed that voters made a mistake by not electing Kamala Harris who she seemed to liken to Moses with her remarks that the ditzy ex-veep would have “led us to the promised land.” [Tweet, video] “I want to make clear that when we hear the stories of the economic impact,

ABC News staffers are bracing for imminent layoffs while the division will restructure its programming including the merging of its “20/20” and “Nightline” programs and the consolidation of its “Good Morning America” productions, according to reports. The Walt Disney Co. is set to lay off around 200 people from its ABC News Group division as well as its Disney Entertainment Networks unit — a move that constitutes cutting some 6% of the combined staff of the two units, according to the Wall Street Journal. Almin Karamehmedovic, president of ABC News, circulated a memo to employees on Wednesday morning confirming the changes.

As a lifelong Democrat, I never imagined I would watch my own party embarrass itself so thoroughly — and so publicly — as it did during Tuesday’s joint session of Congress. From obnoxious booing to childish protest signs to a sitting member of Congress having to be physically removed from the chamber, Democrats turned what should have been a solemn, dignified event into a bad reality show. And for what? To go viral on TikTok? To book a slot on MSNBC to brag about their “resistance”? Nothing was more disgraceful than when my colleagues refused to stand or clap when 13-year-old DJ Daniel, a brain-cancer survivor, was made an honorary Secret Service agent.

State Farm has chosen to ignore California State Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara’s recommendation that all insurance companies pay 100% of personal property coverage rather than asking fire victims to itemize all contents. As Breitbart News has reported, Lara asked all insurance companies to pay their customers 100%, rather than the state minimum of 30%, before requiring them to itemize everything they may have owned — a process that the New York Times called a new form of “trauma” for those already struggling with the fact that they lost their homes. Lara’s deadline was February 28. His office did not return requests for comment about which companies had complied. State Farm, however, did not.

Democratic mayors of four major cities said Wednesday that Congress and the Trump administration are exaggerating crime committed by immigrants and attacking so-called sanctuary cities simply to score political points, as Republicans hammered the policies for shielding criminals and discouraging cooperation with federal officials. The comments came in a hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, where Republicans accused the mayors of putting their cities in danger and undermining President Donald Trump’s mass deportation efforts. Republicans have repeatedly highlighted crimes committed by immigrants who crossed illegally into the U.S.,
