Norwegian Fuel Company Stops Refueling
U.S. Military Ships

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) called for the United States to leave NATO in response to a Norwegian fuel company, Haltbakk Bunkers, deciding to stop refueling U.S. military ships. “Europe doesn’t love us,” Lee wrote in a post on X. “Let’s leave NATO.” Lee’s post came in response to another post that noted that the company, Haltbakk Bunkers, had “stopped refueling the U.S. Navy ships” and was reportedly urging other European countries to “follow suit.”

Tell Europe to stuff it. Out of NATO, out of the UN. Set up an Association of Free States, here in the America's, and work hard to create Republics like the USA throughout the continents. Freeze out Communist interlopers like Cuba. Win Wars, if we commit to them. Honor our global alliances, like Taiwan, and the Philippines. Offer alternatives to the Un for countries who want a diplomatic hub, but not a commitment of resources in someone else's idiocy

Not sure about leaving NATO, but definitely get away from Norway. There is probably somewhere else we can get our ships fueled. I wouldn't trust the fuel we get from a country that doesn't want to fuel us.

While we do not want to be the ugly American and just boss Europe around through threats of withholding money,,they must also pony up their share for any alliance. If that can't happen, pull out. As it exists now NATO should have disbanded after the enemy, the Soviet Union fell. Then another alliance could have been created if needed. NATO is suppose to be a defense pact. What country would come to the US aid if attacked by China? no one. Try to change European mindset , if that doesn't work, drop the alliance.

It turns out that this company doesn’t even have a contract to supply fuel to US naval vessels. The government of Norway has refuted them and continues to sell fuel to US Navy vessels. On the positive side this company can now be barred from all US contracts.

Haltbakk Bunkers is a privately owned company and does not speak for Norway, NATO or Europe. The Norwegian government has already come out and publicly stated that US naval vessels will continue to be fueled and get what they need. One company took a stupid position. You don't trash an entire country or military alliance over it. Lord knows, we have plenty of morons in this country.

Regardless of Norway's signal that th play ball with theUS, what is wrong with the US Navy refueling US Navy ships and its aircraft with US produced and refined fuel? It seemed to work well in the past. Farming out the acquisition of our critical supplies and supply chain to socialist/communist countries, who value globalism and Islamic invaders above their own national interests, seems to place obstacles in the path to making America great again.

#20 - A noble concept but not practical. The Navy relies on fueling stops around the world. Even the fuel provided by our replenishment oilers in the middle of the ocean comes from international suppliers. The only time a refueling stop in a foreign port ever went bad - and it was coincidental - was with the USS Cole.

After decrying older politicians remaining in the leadership of the Democratic Party, Todd returned to Biden's role in the November election loss.

First, the question asked by CNN’s Dana Bash: Host Dana Bash said, “Do you think there’s hope of salvaging this relationship with Ukraine?” This is mind-numbingly stupid. The proper question, as even Zelensky realizes, is whether Ukraine has hope of salvaging its relationship with the United States. Anybody who watched the entire Oval Office meeting between President Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky would know that it was not an “ambush” or a “setup” by Trump, as characterized by Democrats and malign media entities. Trump could not have been more cordial, having steered the complex negotiations with Russia and Ukraine to a first step where he believed peace was a real possibility. But Zelensky had other ideas.
