Trump’s Second Week: A Turning Point
in American Governance

Original Article

In his second week of his second term in office, President Trump has asserted the right of the Chief Executive to effectively manage the Executive Branch. He has blindsided -- even gelded -- his detractors in the media and Congress, and issued an astonishing array of executive orders which reveal how tax funds have been flowing out of the Treasury to the benefit of the Deep State and its friends without regard (and often even being inimical) to the national interest. So much has happened

"Gelded" what a beautifully descriptive and accurate term. And the funniest thing is, many of the media and Congress don't yet realize what they are missing. I wonder if RM knows? California - and why hadn't Golem Loathsom suggested any of these solutions, even for the short term? Trump got it done in a few days. Golem should have asked for this months ago in anticipation of fires. Going through life clueless is not a good way to live and should be disqualifying for being a Governor. Trump's approach to spending is refreshing. Let's STOP the spending (except essential and deserved things like Social Security and Medicare) and then SELECTIVELY start restoring the sensible and necessary things. Let's take a HARD look at NGOs and what they are actually doing, rather than that they are a "charitable organization". If they don't meet the Country's goals, we shouldn't fund them. Period. Gaza and foreign issues - It's time we DEMAND the hard things be done to dismantle terrorism and broken "states". Gaza, as it was constituted, was an abomination. We were insane to expect Israel to live beside such a threat to their existence. Foreign aid to people inimicable to our beliefs and goals MUST STOP. It is insane that we are facilitating Iran in ANY way. We should be making life miserable for them until the mullahs are gone and a reasonable government is installed. Government cleanup - It is refreshing to see cleanup of the cesspools in the DOJ and FBI and deeply disturbing that these agencies have been able to act as they have in the first place. The handling of the 51 traitors who like to sign documents is almost Biblical. I keep wondering if there will be frogs or locusts. The dismissal of Leftist agents that the Bidet administration tried to imbed in the government as the were being shown the exit is relieving. And best of all, the pace being set and the VISIBLE and BREATHTAKING accomplishments are far beyond the abilities and comprehension of the incompetent and hapless dems and media. It is entertaining to see them bouncing off the walls of the shrinking box that Trump has placed them in. Can we even imagine what will have been accomplished by the end of Trump's first year of this term?

As a chicken little, the last paragraph still concerns me. The Deep State is going to litigate and bluster and seek injunctions that will come before liberal judges to impede any progress. This is truly a life and death struggle.

How I love Clarice's Sunday columns. It is like a visit to the Oracle at Delphi. And this quote cited by her, but from Coffeandcovid substack is actually hilarious: 'When the Wall Street Journal called “the memo” “unexpected,” it was a masterpiece of understatement, kind of like describing the Hindenberg [sic] as an unscheduled travel delay'

If an organization is a non-governmental organization, why do they need government funds? Let them operate like a true charity.

Clarice articulately gives us an encouraging summary of the extreme progress made by Trump in his first two weeks, progress made by hitting the pigs in our midst where it hurts most, in their bank accounts. I'm sure that these two weeks were months in the planning but they have delivered the big spenders a blow from which they will not recover anytime soon. Keep up the great work.

I am beginning to think the theft of the 2020 election and Trump's going through the fire of lawfare was God's plan. The Left and the Deep State completely exposed themselves. Trump and his people now know who they are, where they hide, how they operate and protect themselves and theirs. This would not have been possible on Jan 20 2021.

Found this clever line in the comments (hadn't heard it before): But as Louisiana Senator John Kennedy said; "...we need to get some new conspiracy theories, because all the old ones turned out to be true". And as someone pointed out, Moses was forced to spend 40 years in the desert to make him ready to lead - Trump needed only 4.

I think this article would be more interesting if it were written. Start with the details, the lives of these kids that are being exploited. It’s alarming, it’s an emotional picture that makes the point even sharper. It needs no build-up. It’s not enough to blame the church of Bishop Budde that’s the point, it’s the fact that any church-and the society that the church lives in-can lead society and raise a standard by which others should follow. They can’t claim the higher grounds if they stand for the mutilation and trafficking of children. That’s clear and should be in the first paragraph.

There is much I did not know about: “FTA: 8,950 active-duty servicemen and 5,727 reserve troops who were transgendered have been removed from service and in their stead 8,000 military personnel who had been removed because they refused the vaccine mandate have been welcomed to return with back pay. Foreign Students. Much of the chaos, disruption, and antisemitic activities on college campuses which the prior administration ignored involved foreign students here on temporary visas. The administration has begun identifying them, revoking their visas, and repatriating them home.” It is like a Trump rally except that now it is reality. Amazing. President Trump is making the Deep State ask the Chief Magistrate for permission to spend our tax money!

Excellent! Excellent! Joyous news the government leviathan is being reeled in! Okay, party time is over. Although in disarray, the Demonrats and Deep Staters will not take this lying down. Cornered rats all, not to mention snakes. May God look after President Trump and his family, and all those who are making the above happen. One other thing. I noticed in the comments after the article some posters there speculating whether or not the fraud that was Election 2020 should be investigated. Most certainly YES! it should be. Revealing all the obvious corruption in that election will help accomplish one thing in particular. . .the absolute necessity of Voter ID, reining in mail in ballots, and for crying out loud the insidious electronic voting machines. There is also the question of how valid are any actions taken by the braindead "Big Guy" during his "pResidency!

Democrat leaders like Senator Chuck Schumer message thinly veiled threats of violence to their (increasingly small) numbers of followers. They are responding in counterproductive ways like torching and defacing Tesla cars and trucks, vehicles most likely owned by Democrats who believe in the climate change fairy tale and want to reduce CO2 emissions. The logical response of Democrat owners is to blame and leave the party that provokes this nonsensical criminal behavior.

Let’s skip ahead to after the election. No matter who wins, the next president will declare that they have a “mandate” to do something. And they will be wrong. The whole canard that a newly elected president is for some reason entitled to have their way is an invention. The word “mandate” doesn’t appear in the Constitution or the Federalist Papers. The myth can be traced to Andrew Jackson. (Snip) [T]he core problem with mandate-mania is this: Presidential electoral majorities never speak with one voice in favor of a policy platform.

After decades of broken politics in Washington, and eight years of failed policies from George W. The following is nothing more than an educated guess. The current military conflicts in Eastern Europe and the Middle East will not likely end via negotiated armistice, though Mr. Putin may figure out a face-saving way to cut his losses, while Israel is truly committed to putting an end to Hamas and Hezb’allah once and for all. For this to come about, the mullahs in Iran also have to be eliminated. They have made their ancient nation the truly most responsible party for the Israel-Hamas conflict.

There was a mainstream media race to the bottom recently, and The New York Times was the ringleader. The consequences were immediate, terrible, and may be felt for years to come. Announcing the horrifying news of an explosion at a hospital in Gaza, the Times made a series of deliberate and unconscionable choices that contorted the story, and in a way that may have contributed to lost lives. Their headline "Israeli Strike Kills Hundreds in Hospital, Palestinians Say" is abominable journalistic malpractice. Think of the editorial decisions involved here:

The juxtaposition of the Department of Justice’s handling of Hunter Biden with its outrageous treatment of Donald J. In exchange, he’s serving a third term as president behind the scrim while the demented present officeholder serves as a front.
