ATLANTA — U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff came home to Atlanta Saturday to rally core Democrats desperate for effective action now against President Donald Trump’s administration. “Georgia will bow to no king!” Ossoff proclaimed at the end of a 20-minute speech that labeled Trump as corrupt, out of touch with the problems of regular people, and “trying to poison our democracy with fear and intimidation.” “Atlanta, this is not a drill. Atlanta, this is not a bad dream,” said Ossoff, who could be the Republicans’ No. 1 Democratic target in the 2026 elections. “As citizens, this is the test of our

Comments:

Ossoff is nearly 100% 'woke' and rated as the most vulnerable Senator to be ousted.

Ossoff and the Democrats are sounding very insurrectiony now, aren't they? Perhaps we should follow their aggressive strategy against insurrectionists.

Jon Boy is exposing one of the tactics-steal as many red state governorships (probably focusing on swing states) and senate and house positions they can. The devils might be in disarray, but they are not destroyed.

I haven't seen Ossof since my state mistakenly "elected" him to the senate. That is until yesterday when I saw ad add begging for campaign money to be reelected. I will be donating to whoever is his opponent. Ossof does not represent this state. He represents Stacy Abrams and her fans.

A very underwhelming human being. When coverage of the Georgia run-offs began after the 2020 election, I began to refer to him as Jon Tossoff (not Ossoff). It's a reference to the same thing Jeffrey Toobin was doing to himself on that Zoom call and is a Britishism (I think) presented to Americans in the 1985 move "Weird Science" by the character Lisa, played by actress Kelly LeBrock.

A lot has changed in Georgia since he "won". Hopefully, the Republicans will nominate someone who can take back this seat. We don't need some protracted primary either. Do not allow the Democrats to siphon off votes by using their divisive tactics to frighten Republican voters into NOT voting.

WASHINGTON — The dustup over the future of the Democratic Party and how lawmakers should blunt President Donald Trump’s grip on Washington showed little signs of abating this week, with Sen. John Fetterman, of Pennsylvania, still playing a central role. Former Democratic Congressman Conor Lamb, who finished second to Mr. Fetterman in the state’s 2022 Senate primary, accused the senator on Friday of “collaborating with — rather than fighting” the president and his Republican Party, which controls both chambers of Congress. Mr. Lamb said Mr. Fetterman — who has slammed Democratic protests of Trump and last week voted in favor

Senate Democrats are bracing for a painful post-mortem as they try to avoid a September rerun of their latest government funding defeat. Chuck Schumer, the Senate minority leader, and nine of his members helped get a House GOP-authored government funding bill to the finish line, saying a vote to advance legislation they loathed was the least bad option. The alternative, they argued, was allowing a shutdown that could empower President Donald Trump and Elon Musk to accelerate their slashing of the federal bureaucracy.
