Praise that Israeli hostages are coming

The cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas is meant to be a first step, and we don’t know what happens next, or the promises that were made behind the scenes. It is possible that President-elect Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have agreed on this move merely as a tactical prelude to a set of far-reaching measures that will yet transform the Middle East. And, most importantly, the idea of dozens of Israelis — including toddlers — returning home after more than a year in purgatory is enough to dull even the most hawkish observer’s concerns.

That was my first thought and I'm sure that Netanyahu would prefer to finish the job that Hamas started with the encouragement of the Biden administration. He is wisely not ending the state of war because Hamas is guaranteed to break any sort of peace within days.

Bibi, if any "deal" is cut, make sure the IDF tracks each hamas terrorist 24/7. Track every move they make, where they go, who they talk to, and the clothes they are wearing. Meanwhile, buy them all brand new pagers and cell phones.

The ONLY thing that Hamas ever wins are the hostage deals. That's why each deal only perpetuates and guarantees that more hostages will be taken later.

And now...WE have news that Hamas changed the cease fire terms at the last minute hoping to score some more points...and banking on the hostage families...demonstrating in the streets will put pressure on Netanyahu to go along with the changes Hamas made at the last moment...I don't see it happening...either you stick with the original terms ...or it's no deal...and now Hamas...you can deal with President Trump and secretary of defense Hegreth...and lots of luck on that account...you have deficient funds available...

Eventually, this is going to come down to a President Trump cleansing of the region to include killing many Hamas terrorists and their associates, and destroying all Iranian nuclear bomb making facilities.

Get back the hostages and then end the 'deal'. Kill all Hamas. No prisoners. This is the only way to deal with these vicious, rabid dogs.

Oh, another 'last minute snag'. How many times have we heard this same line from the same pile of feces over the years?.... I have lost count. Don't hold your breath on the hostages. I don't think the Scum will release any of them alive. The only sure thing is that the 'drama' will go on, the Media will continue to play it up as other more important things go on 'under the radar', the attacks will continue, until ever last one of the Scum are dead. Every. Last. One.

The Israeli security cabinet has officially approved the long-awaited cease-fire deal with Hamas, putting a pause to the fighting in Gaza and allowing for the release of dozens of hostages held captive by the terrorist group for 15 months. The 11 voting members of the security cabinet approved the deal with a simple majority vote, the Prime Minister’s Office said. The full, 33-member Israeli cabinet will meet to approve the agreement at 3:30 p.m. local time (8:30 a.m. ET). Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet and the Israeli government accepted the peace agreement after negotiators for the Jewish state and Hamas signed off on the deal.

We start this discussion with a note of thanks to the ridiculous democrats and republicans for using the questioning session for AG nominee Pam Bondi, to out themselves on the issue of FISA-702, the unconstitutional surveillance of American citizens. While many will not see it, the timing here is not coincidental. At the behest of President Donald Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson has removed House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) Chairman Mike Turner from his position. Mike Turner is no longer Chairman of HPSCI. This is a big loss for the Deep State. Remember also, that President Trump had previously announced an intelligence advisory board headed by Devin Nunes

The Israeli cabinet will not convene until the mediators notify Israel that Hamas has accepted all elements of the agreement.”

Independence Day, observed annually on July 4, is a national holiday that honors the ratification of the Declaration of Independence. This pivotal document marked the founding of the United States of America and its liberation from British tyranny and oppression. In the mid-1990s, a song with the same title was awarded Country Music Song of the Year. Performed by Martina McBride, it celebrates a woman’s liberation from her abusive husband. What are the commonalities? Oppression and abuse. Is anyone else sensing a strong stench of these in America, what used to be a shining city on a hill?

Bronx Rep. During the California leg of a year-long journey across America, I devoted a day to visiting two presidential libraries within a short distance of each other. I started that morning at the Richard Nixon Presidential Museum and Library and a few hours later proceeded to that of Ronald Reagan. Some months earlier I had also stopped at the Harry Truman Library and Museum in Missouri. Every president is actively encouraged to plan and construct an official repository of his documents from his time in office. The resulting library is more than the collection of the paperwork generated during his tenure, however.

Pete Hegseth, President-elect Trump’s choice for Defense secretary, on Tuesday emerged largely unscathed from an at times blistering confirmation hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee. Democratic lawmakers on the panel took aim at Hegseth’s lack of experience leading an agency as large and complex as the Pentagon, claims related to his treatment of women and excessive drinking, and his past comments on the role of women in the military. Multiple Democrats also expressed concerns that an FBI background check on Hegseth, an Army veteran, left out crucial details about major allegations levied against him. The report was viewed by the panel’s top two members on Friday.

Envy is an ugly thing -- one of the seven deadly sins. One reason for this success: The United States innovates while Europe regulates. Instead of fixing their economies, the European Union bureaucrats want to kneecap America's tech success stories with lawsuits and regulatory barbed wire fences to keep American firms from competing on a level playing field. Europeans have long been dripping with jealousy that American firms dominate the tech sector -- cellphones, search engines, social media platforms, artificial intelligence and robotics. Our "magnificent seven" tech companies -- including Google, Nvidia, Apple and Amazon -- saw massive stocks market gains in 2024. Meanwhile, Europe has flatlined.

Senate Democrats have yet to reveal more evidence to back up the allegations against Pete Hegseth, Trump’s pick to head the Pentagon, and a recently completed FBI background check isn’t moving the needle on that nominee.Only Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) and Sen. Jack Reed (R.I.), the ranking Democrat on the panel, have been able to review the report thus far, which hasn’t yet caused any serious political reverberations. Sen. Pete Hegseth, President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, is facing a relentless smear campaign that ranges from the petty to the absurd. Chief among these efforts are allegations from a disgruntled former employee of Concerned Veterans for America (CVA), where Hegseth served as CEO—claims that lack credibility and have resurfaced years after her brief tenure. Meanwhile, critics have seized on other manufactured controversies, including Hegseth’s Christian tattoo, which has been assailed as extremist. This attack on his faith—and on traditional Christian imagery—reveals a deep hypocrisy, as such scrutiny would never be applied to other religious traditions. But these efforts to discredit Hegseth obscure the larger issue:
