REP. JAMIE RASKIN: Well, the Department of Justice traditionally has enjoyed institutional independence from the office of the president. The president has not ordered investigations into specific individuals or terminated investigations into others. That principle was, of course, tested during Donald Trump’s first presidential administration. He seemed to want to treat the Department of Justice as a mere adjunct of his own presidency, under the unitary executive theory.

Really, Raskin? You must think we’re stupid. It’s never been as politicized as under Merrick Garland. I think your bandana is too tight. Or maybe you’re just the south end of a northbound horse.

After almost 8 straight years of legal malfeasance provided by the Democrats and their willing & eager lickspittle minions in the FBI and the DOJ, does Raskin actually believe his own lies? The unelected liberal gvt administrators in so many agencies, including the CIA and the IRS, have done nothing but wage lawfare against their political opponents in the form of Donald Trump but in actuality is ALL THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. A minority of unelected career apparatchiks spent untold millions of tax payer dollars to fund faux investigations (J6, the Muller Russia Russia Russia, the FISA fraudulently obtained surveillance warrants on Carter Page, etc) and Raskin is acting like it never happened.. There are lies, damn lies and statistics-and the statistics all point to a concerted & focused effort by the Dems to rig elections. Jamie, you can't hide behind the MSM the mountain of objective evidence that your party only values your party, and NOT all Americans. You all DO belong in jail for treason against the US Constitution. That is NOT politicizing the DOJ, that is called JUSTICE.

" The president of the United States, under Article II of the Constitution, has the job to take care that the laws are faithfully executed. That is the opposite of the president choosing winners and losers in the justice process. The president’s job is to ensure the laws are faithfully executed."-Raskin
Ok Bub, how does that gybe with YOUR President overturning the death sentence "Executions" of nearly every condemned Federal Prisoner???
NEXT...having made this accusatory statement, and mentioning subpoenas...How 'bout we take a look at ALL communications between you, your committee members and staff, and any/every individual in the DOJ/Justice apparatus? For the last 8 YEARS. See WHO was politicizing the "Process". The "Justice Dept" belongs to the Administration, not the Congress,YOUR only role is Legislation, and your ability to "Investigate/Prosecute/ask for subpoenas and indict/accuse ANYONE has to be for Legitimate Legislative Purposes...and ONLY Legitimate Legislative Purposes.

LOL! The DoJ is fully politicized under the Traitor Joe junta. And if Trump's DoJ merely follows the laws, they should arrest a lot of the current crop of government officials for their crimes. That is NOT politicization, that is justice.

Raskin "The Rat" knows the DOJ is already politicized and is only stating the obvious lies about President Trump so the Demonrats in the Enemedia can ramp up their "Trump is a Dictator" garbage. Nothing new here at all. SOP for the lying, cheating, stealing Demonrats.
The "Trump is a Dictator" will be heard only slightly less than "Bird Flu Pandemic" leading up to Trump's inauguration, and for months/years thereafter. Everyone knows it's coming since the Enemedia doesn't want to "learn" anything from their prior "mistakes". They just want to sabotage Trump any way possible.

Raskin thinks he's talking to the idiots in Maryland who elected him. The only reason Maryland isn't considered the most anti-American state in the country is because California is larger and has a better publicity department.

Raskin starts off with a massive, corrupting, malignant lie. "The DOJ historically has been independent of the office of the President"
A total LIE.
The DOJ has always been a part of the Executive Branch, and controlled by the President and staff. This is NORMAL, and there is NO 'independence' in ANY of the subdepartments of the Executive Branch, they ALL work for and at the guidance of the President who IS the Executive...who runs that branch of the government as he sees fit.

A typical application of the Cloward-Piven strategy of blaming your opponent for the things you are doing. Furthermore, I nominate the last paragraph (shown below)for the most dishonest statement of the year, given 4 years of lawfare against Trump and other supporters of Constitutional government. Judge for yourself: "We are going to stand very strong for the idea that the rule of law is not subordinate to partisanship. The president of the United States, under Article II of the Constitution, has the job to take care that the laws are faithfully executed. That is the opposite of the president choosing winners and losers in the justice process. The president’s job is to ensure the laws are faithfully executed. That, of course, is the defining mission of the Department of Justice."
