Pelosi’s Stiletto Stumble: Inside the
Fall That Left the Former Speaker Hospitalized

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is recovering after a dramatic fall on Friday, as previously reported. Pelosi, 84, was hospitalized after sustaining an injury while traveling with a bipartisan congressional delegation. Pelosi was in Luxembourg to attend events marking the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, one of the most significant engagements of World War II on the Western Front. According to her spokesperson, Ian Krager, Pelosi is receiving "excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals" and is expected to recover. However, she will not be able to attend the remaining engagements of the congressional delegation.

Call me a pessimist (or optimist, your choice), but despite the rosy pictures being painted by her staff, I have a feeling that this injury is more serious than they're admitting. Marble is very hard, and a fall on it can result in multiple broken bones. History makes me skeptical. Remember how Old Joe was "at the top of his game" and "sharp as a tack" until he debated Trump, and also how everyone covered up Diane Feinstein's senility for years and even talked about her running for reelection in 2024. Turtle Mitch is another one whose condition is being gaslighted.

Let's hope she takes the hint and retires, FINALLY, to start to let the country heal. Those shoes.....unreal. Tiny toe box, and 80% of the foot just sitting on top of a high heel design. NO lateral stability whatsoever. Amazing that women can walk in those things at all, almost a circus act to do it, at least it seems to this guy who would never even attempt it.

Good luck to Pelosi. Remember this junket is said to be bipartisan, so you have to hope that there was not any wimpy Republicans near Pelosi when her fall occurred, as if the leftist Democrats are able, they would surely try to fraudulently pin the blame on some wimpy Republican for giving Pelosi a covert shove!

Seems impossible that the dreadful, corrupt, communist Nancy really did fall. You have to walk in order to fall and break a hip. I always thought Pelosi slithered around like a snake. Maybe she somehow slipped on the slime trail she leaves behind everywhere she goes and that caused the fall. One less vote in the House for the democrats, at least for a while. Satan has to be drooling and rubbing his claws in anticipation today.

My aunt was that age when she fell. A doctor said that it’s often NOT the fall, but that the bone breaks causing the person to fall. Looking at the photo, Nancy appears to be leaning on the man next to her. Perhaps she was already in trouble BEFORE the fall happened.

In an epic exchange on CNN, Senior Political Commentator Scott Jennings delivered a brutal reality check to Rep. The moment came after Jayapal launched into a tirade blaming Elon Musk and Donald Trump for the looming government shutdown. “We already had a bill,” she said. “We negotiated it. Mike Johnson agreed to it. And because, as you said, Elon Musk, a billionaire, tweeted about it — President Musk tweeted about it — these Republicans tried to go around their own caucus, all the work that's been done, and they are in charge of shutting down the government. Americans used to be afraid of government shutdowns, and a few still are. Ever worried about catching flak, it's almost a given that they bend the knee to Democrats and give them what they want. House lawmakers from both sides of the aisle joined together to reject Speaker Mike Johnson’s latest stopgap funding package Thursday night, with one day to spare before a partial government shutdown is set to begin. The House voted 174-235 against the package under suspension of the rules, which requires two-thirds support from those present and voting for passage. Thirty-eight Republicans bucked leadership and President-elect Donald Trump, a staunch proponent of the revised bill. Going to the Rules Committee to report out a rule for floor debate that could be adopted on a simple majority had been GOP leaders’ next move. But leadership quickly put the kibosh

Georgia’s court of appeals ruled Thursday that Willis will be removed from the case because of the appearance of misconduct surrounding her relationship with Wade, but did not throw out the case all together. “While we recognize that an appearance of impropriety is generally not enough to support disqualification, this is the rare case in which disqualification is mandated and no other remedy will suffice to restore public confidence in the integrity of these proceedings,” the three judge panel ruled.

He's in a bit of a conundrum. He's probably been longing for the unchecked power he had from March 2020 through February 28, 2023, when Californians lived under a State of Emergency for the COVID pandemic.
