Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore believes a second Donald Trump term in the White House will have little to no impact on the “momentum” of the globalist climate doom agenda and it will march on “despite” him. Trump has pledged to pull the United States from the Paris climate agreement for a second time and cast a pall over U.N. COP29 climate talks in Baku this week, AFP reports. But Gore channeled President Joe Biden’s climate team who sought to warn other countries that Trump must be defied at all costs. “We’ve been through this before,” Gore told reporters Thursday

Democrats are attacking the religious faith of several of President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees for senior positions, risking a confrontation with the Constitution, which prohibits the use of religious tests for public office. Pete Hegseth, who is Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, has been criticized for his tattoos, one of which features a Jerusalem cross. Another includes a Crusader motto that, critics say, has been appropriated by far-right groups. Meanwhile, former Gov. Mike Huckabee, who has been nominated to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Israel, has been criticized by Democratic Senators specifically for his religious views about the Jews’ right to the Land of Israel.

Laura Helmuth, the editor-in-chief of Scientific American, has resigned after receiving fierce backlash for her expletive-filled online tirade in which she called Donald Trump voters “f****** fascists” on election night. “I’ve decided to leave Scientific American after an exciting 4.5 years as editor in chief,” Helmuth announced on her Bluesky account Thursday. “I’m going to take some time to think about what comes next (and go birdwatching).” Helmuth’s resignation comes after she fired off a series of social media posts on election night bashing people who voted for former President Donald Trump over Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Iran provided a written assurance to the Biden administration last month that it would not seek to assassinate then-GOP nominee Donald Trump. The October 14 message was aimed at easing tensions between Tehran and Washington ahead of Trump’s potential return. The message was in response to a written warning that the US sent Iran in September that Washington would consider an attempt on Trump’s life as an act of war.

Well, well, well. Remember when Israel agreed to US terms to avoid nuclear sites while retaliating for Iran's massive ballistic missile attack? It turns out that the Iranians' attempts to play cute with the IAEA gave Israel an opening to destroy a key research facility -- and leave the Iranians unable to complain about it. When the Iranians first began pursuing nuclear weapons, much of that work took place at a facility in Parchin. After their program got exposed, the Iranians shuttered Parchin and moved that work into more defensible locations. The Iranians have insisted ever since that Parchin no longer played an active role in nuclear research, but

According to the current tabulation posted by the Associated Press, Republican Dave McCormick defeated incumbent Democrat Bob Casey by more than 24,000 votes in Pennsylvania’s Senate contest. The AP called the race for McCormick last week. However, the margin falls just under 0.5 percent of the total and thus triggers a recount under Pennsylvania law. It shouldn’t be possible to pick up 24,000 votes in a recount and Casey could have waived it, but he is represented by Russia hoax fraudster Marc Elias and has other plans. He seeks to alter the result by persuading friendly authorities to count illegal ballots.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump announced that Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy would head the “Department of Government Efficiency.” That same day, the Treasury Department released a report showing why this effort is so desperately needed. In his announcement, Trump said that he’s assigned the two to “dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure federal agencies.” It will, he said, “become, potentially, ‘The Manhattan Project’ of our time.” At Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in late October, Musk, when asked how much he

There is no moral or legal equivalence between non-violent mischief — such as tearing down flags and shouting racial insults — and committing life-threatening assaults upon people based on their religion and ethnicity. The anti-Israel rioters were hunting down Jews... Muslim extremists have a long history of hurling spears in response to non-violent insults. Recall the numerous deadly attacks — shootings, stabbings, bombings and lethal fatwas—against those who allegedly insulted the prophet by picturing him or authoring books about him. There was also violence against those who burned Korans or otherwise demeaned Islam. Even cartoons provoked deadly responses.
Automatic Voter Registration Should Be Banned replies

Automatic voter registration (AVR) creates a honeypot for voter fraud by bloating voter rolls—often in numbers above the actual population. It can allow noncitizens to register; and allows low-information, indifferent people to register who normally care nothing about voting. All of this results in the lowest common denominator getting elected to office, breeding corruption. The push for AVR began during the middle of the last decade; today 24 states use it in some way. Usually, it consists of some combination of adding anyone who gets a driver’s license to the rolls, whether they care to register, or allowing them to opt out of registering when they get their license

With the GOP’s regained Senate majority, the freshly-branded Majority Leader John Thune has a mountain of work ahead of him once he takes the gavel. He must confirm President-elect Trump’s cabinet nominees, pass legislation securing the border, and extend the expiring 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act benefiting more than 80% of individual taxpayers. But before any legislating can happen, the Senate must choose the membership of its committees. Thune must use his authority as Majority Leader to limit the committee assignments of one newly elected Senator: Democrat Adam Schiff of California. Schiff must be denied a position on any of the body’s committees centered around national security, intelligence, or foreign affairs,

If the new Senate leadership recesses the Senate for three days, Gaetz can take office as a recess appointment, circumventing the confirmation process. The Gaetz appointment is a giant middle finger to those in the Justice Department who have harassed Trump since before he took office in 2017. It started with the Russia hoax, and it's been going on nonstop for eight years. The final straw came when the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago, including searching Melania's

Many are dancing an Irish jig – even non-Irishmen whom one would not expect to know such dances – over the prospect of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy heading up a new “Grace Commission 2.0” of sorts, cheerfully nicknamed a Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. They intend an 18-month project, hopefully to conclude by our nation’s 250th anniversary, in which they will apply standard American manufacturing cost-cutting techniques such as LEAN and Six Sigma tools, to find out how much fat is in every federal department, bureau and agency, and cut it out as fast as possible.

Two Republican Senate candidates are refusing to concede after losing, and their allies are raising questions about how the election was conducted in a pair of swing states Donald Trump won. In Wisconsin, Eric Hovde said he was considering seeking a recount in his loss to Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin and cast doubt on election patterns that experts called ordinary. In Arizona, Kari Lake has not conceded to Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego, just as she refused to concede when she lost the 2022 race for governor. Her campaign called it “hard to believe” that Lake lost to Gallego.

He wallows in it so that this confirmation fight will be bloody. It just is since there are more than enough squishy Republicans who could make this fight a slog. There have been many theories as to why Gaetz was selected. Is it 4-D chess?

Massive Shift in Urban Voting Helped Elect Trump replies

You can't point to just one reason Trump won such a decisive victory last Tuesday, but you can identify a few factors together that guaranteed that Trump would win the popular vote. Among those, the rightward shift of urban voters who form the base of the Democratic Party is at the top of the list. Trump saw gains nearly everywhere, but urban areas stand out because, without massive turnout in the big cities, Democrats can kiss their electoral prospects goodbye. Big cities are where the elite tend to congregate, and the Democrat coalition has recently been characterized by an odd alliance between wealthy, overeducated and irrationally leftist
