Political commentators and other social media users criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for remarks that she gave during a campaign event and interview with Oprah Winfrey on Thursday night. "We love our country," Harris said. "I love our country. I know we all do, that’s why everybody’s here right now. We love our country. We take pride in the privilege of being American and this is a moment where we can and must come together as Americans, understanding we have so much more in common than what separates us. Let’s come together with the character that we are so proud of about who we are, which is we are an

The Palestinian cause is a top priority for Saudi Arabia, and we reiterate the kingdom’s rejection and strong condemnation of the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people, in disregard of international and humanitarian law in a new and bitter chapter of suffering,” he said. We extend our thanks to the countries that recognised the Palestinian state in embodiment of international legitimacy, and we urge the rest of the countries to take similar steps,” he said.
The crown prince, known by his initials MBS, made his remarks in his annual address to the Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia, more commonly called the Shura Council.

Kamala Harris reaffirmed that she's a gun owner and will fire away if anyone tries to sneak into her house.
The vice president made the statement in an attempt to burnish her credentials as a 'common sense' gun control candidate during her hour-and-a-half long livestream fundraiser with Oprah Winfrey.
'If somebody breaks into my house, they're getting shot,' she said, before showing off her trademark cackle. She then expressed regret, similar to how her boss Joe Biden would try to take back foolish statements: 'I probably should not have said that. My staff will deal with that later.'
The statement made headlines on social media,

On Thursday’s broadcast of CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg stated that building eight electric vehicle charging stations so far under the Inflation Reduction Act’s $7.5 billion investment in electric vehicle charging stations is “on track.” Because most construction will occur in the second half of the decade.
Co-host Joe Kernen asked, “[O]ur designs on electrification of the auto industry, have we recalibrated there? And I’ll just give you one item and you can — maybe you can explain why, but under the Inflation Reduction Act, 7.5 billion for building these charging stations. The latest information, eight have been built with the 7.5 billion that had been allocated.

Israel on Friday took out Ibrahim Aqil, the Hezbollah leader behind a trio of bombing attacks that killed more than 250 Americans in the 1980s — as the Jewish state moves toward all-out war with the Iranian proxy group.
Aqil – most recently a member of Hezbollah’s highest military body, the Jihad Council – “was eliminated in a targeted intelligence-based strike in Beirut,” the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement.
Also known as “Tahsin,” Aqil was a “principal leader” of the cell responsible for both the April 18, 1983, bombing at the US embassy in Beirut, which killed 63 people including 17 Americans; and the Marine Corps barracks bombing

Taylor Swift's reputation may have never been worse, at least with Republicans, new polling finds after the megastar endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president.
The exclusive DailyMail.com poll conducted by J.L. Partners shows the full extent of the global superstars bad blood with the GOP after weighing in on the 2024 race earlier this month.
It found Swift has become a victim of polarization with 57 percent of Republicans holding a negative view of the 34-year-old global superstar while 71 percent of Democrats have a positive view of the 'The Tortured Poets Department' singer.
Among Independents, 50 percent have a favorable or somewhat favorable view of the singer

Again, this is why Kamala Harris doesn’t do interviews: she’s braindead. The woman did a livestream event with Oprah Winfrey, which should have been a cakewalk. It ended up being a word salad extravaganza and a painful one. Winfrey exhibited body language that didn’t display confidence in the vice president. I don’t think the cultural icon knew what Harris was talking about half the time. Harris’ interview with the National Association of Black Journalists this week caught all three journalists giving expressions that weren't positive.

At least 20 Trump supporters may have been attacked covertly by chemicals or a high-power laser at a Trump rally in Tucson on September 12. Some victims suffered severe burns. Many were temporarily blinded, with symptoms lasting until today. Others may have been affected but have yet to be identified. The fact that all those known to have been affected were sitting on the stage immediately adjacent to President Trump is important in understanding the significance of what happened.
The victims were all part of a “Latinos for Trump” group on the stage. President Trump shook hands with them as he walked to the podium. But what they believed was

Cynically running out the clock has been the overarching principle of the entire abbreviated 105-day presidential campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris -- ever since President Joe Biden, at the 11th hour, dropped out in July.
Harris seems unwilling or unable to answer any impromptu question that she has not been previously prepped for. Her answers at the debate were memorized and canned. They never addressed the questions asked.
Her single, 11-minute post-debate Philadelphia interview was a shipwreck of dodging

New York magazine’s Washington correspondent Olivia Nuzzi was placed on leave after she had an alleged romantic relationship with former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr while covering his campaign.
Nuzzi, without naming the 70-year-old Kennedy scion, admitted in a Thursday night statement that earlier this year “the nature of some communications between myself and a former reporting subject turned personal.”
The 31-year-old star political reporter insisted the relationship was not physical in nature.

Chicago has a $9.9 billion budget. Its teachers’ unions, who control the city and have one of their own in the mayor’s office, get everything from free abortions to weight loss surgeries, to $145,000 salaries even though their students know absolutely nothing. [SNIP] The teachers we spoke with work in CPS elementary schools and say they spoke no Spanish, while their migrant students spoke no English, making communication virtually impossible. They also added that because their schools were located in predominantly Black neighborhoods, they offered no English as a Second Language (ESL) support.
