Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is selling his home following security concerns after his address was leaked online. Campbell's family of four had been the victim of "doxxing," a leaking of personal information to the public, according to Crain's Detroit Business. That information leak led to multiple instances of harassment by fans after tough Lions losses. "The home is beautiful," Campbell told Crain's. "It's just that people figured out where we lived when we lost." According to Fox 2 Detroit, incidents included prank callers sending contractors to the Campbells' home for fake maintenance requests. Comments:

I'm guessing the security issues were worse than reported. Other sources say they fled the house abruptly and had to find another home in a highly-secured undisclosed area on short notice. Lots of crazies are out there running around.

Lots of crazies indeed, OP. It's startling how many idiot cuckweasels there are who would threaten a coach simply because their team lost.

I'm thinking this goes beyond the Lions losing. Something else came out. . .like Dan Campbell supports President Trump. Yeah, I could see this kind of reaction.

Dan Campbell is THE best thing to ever happen to the Detroit Lions. He is a fighter, smart, and quite a character. We absolutely love him. It ticks me off that some are so dang stupid that they do not offer grace when there is a loss. Yea, the Lions looked flat last week, that happens. They will get it together. I remember the 0-16 season, that was brutal

This is surprising. I thought Lions' fans were accustomed to losing. Are we sure this is the problem?

OSLO/BUDAPEST/LONDON - Bulgaria and Norway became new focal points on Thursday of a global hunt for who supplied Hezbollah with the thousands of pagers that exploded in Lebanon this week in a deadly blow to the militant group. Security sources said that Israel was responsible for the explosions on Tuesday that killed 12 people, injured more than 2,300 and raised the stakes in a growing conflict between the two sides. Israel has not directly commented on the attacks. How and with whose help the pager attack was carried out was not yet known, although so far there were possible

The Land of 10,000 Lakes may not have seemed like an electoral battleground when the state’s governor got picked for the presidential ticket. But now it may be a different matter, per a MinnPost-Embold Research poll, which shows the narrowest gap in any Minnesota survey between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, who picked favorite son Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. And independent voters are the reason. Harris leads by just over 4 points, 48.8% to 44.6%, which is an even narrower margin than the 5-point lead she had in a poll a Minnesota TV station released two weeks

"Zero Dark Thirty" was a pretty solid movie. I liked it because the producers and director didn’t sugarcoat the way that CIA operatives treated terrorists. Terrorists deserved their fate. The composite protagonist “Maya” was a CIA analyst who worked tirelessly to bring justice down on Osama Bin Laden — AKA a bullet to the brain. After Maya had fingered where Bin Laden was, she met with Leon Panetta, the then-head of the CIA. Panetta was portrayed by James Gandolfini. I don’t object to artistic license when actors portray real people, but Gandolfini was a big man: 6’1” and intimidating. He looked intimidating just standing still. Panetta,

Let’s skip ahead to after the election. No matter who wins, the next president will declare that they have a “mandate” to do something. And they will be wrong. The whole canard that a newly elected president is for some reason entitled to have their way is an invention. The word “mandate” doesn’t appear in the Constitution or the Federalist Papers. The myth can be traced to Andrew Jackson. (Snip) [T]he core problem with mandate-mania is this: Presidential electoral majorities never speak with one voice in favor of a policy platform.

Does the United States of America have a functioning president right now? That question isn’t meant to be provocative. Members of both major parties have noted that President Joe Biden seems to have gone AWOL from his official duties as the nation’s executive in chief. A large chunk of voters agree, saying they want Biden to leave office right away. In August’s I&I/TIPP Poll of 1,488 registered voters, taken from July 31-Aug. 2, shortly after the Democratic Party forced Biden to step down as his party’s candidate, we asked voters the following question: “Which of the following do you believe is in the best interest of the country?” \
