President Biden repeated a claim about turning down an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy, where he purportedly wanted to play football, during his commencement address at West Point on Saturday. Biden told West Point graduates that Republican Sen. J. Caleb Boggs, whom he defeated to become a U.S. senator, had "appointed" him to the Naval Academy years before they ran against each other in 1972.
The president recounted that before his interview, "I found out two days earlier they had a quarterback named Roger Staubach, and a halfback named Joe Bellino. And I said, I'm not going there. I went to Delaware. Not a joke."

Nothing impresses active duty and veterans more than some civilian slacker bragging about how he ''almost served''.

Our president believes a LOT of things that are not true, but his mind can't differentiate, nor let go of. Makes one wonder then, who exactly whispers in his ear? The puppeteers make him dance to the tunes behind the curtains. The performance can bomb, but the agenda carries on unabated.

Senators (he was one for how many years?) do not "appoint" candidates to the service academies. They nominate them for consideration for appointment. An idiot, all around.

Time to cue the '70s porn music ... "You've got to be a football hero ...." Josef Stolen (h/t Ida Lou) is a wanker who thinks himself to be a great man, a great athlete, universally loved, like Anthony Weiner, Bill Maher's old favorite pol. How many Vietnam era draft deferments did "Let's go, Brandon" get? But he's a hero ... to twelve million criminal aliens Trump is going to have to start deporting next year if the Donks don't cheat him out of a second election in a row. But what do I know? I'm just an "erectionist" whom FJB hates more than Islamic terrorists in America. He probably has a mini-nuke for me and my neighbors, delivered on an F-15, which neither I nor any of my neighbors owns or flies. We don't have any nukes, either. What would we do with them?

When most people lie they know they are lying. They usually lie to make themselves feel important or superior or to CYA for some reason. But they are fully aware they are not telling the truth. I believe that in his demented riddled mind FJB actually believes what dribbles out of his mouth. He has said these lies so many times he can no longer differentiate between the two scenarios. He can no longer separate fantasy and fact. I do not understand why this is considered acceptable to the left. I consider that a national security risk. This man has rewritten his personal life story on so many levels. He either has Alzheimer's or another type of dementia. I cannot believe anyone would vote for him in his condition. It is dangerous.

"Not a joke". Correct Joe, not a joke, rather an outright lie from a serial fabulist.

I heard Joe threw a pass to himself and scored a hat trick, a birdie, and a knockout on the same play all while being the first underclassman to teach constitutional law at UPenn.

Make fun of Beau's Iraq service if you want but the son of a gun had two desks shot out from under him and still filed his brief on time. That kind of courage is not rare in a desk jockey either.

How can the big three networks and the big newspapers not report that the President is lying about his personal history? Seems like that would matter. It would matter if he were not favored politically by these media.

FJB has always been a liar and a braggart. Always.
The mental deterioration is merely an element in today's FJB,
he has always lied and bragged.
However you cut it, he's a monster.

I attended this graduation and saw him. I know this won’t be easy to read but he was warmly received by the audience including parents and guests and I found his voice strong and his manner likeable. He didn’t seem feeble. He told the predictable whoppers but the audience was more enthusiastic than simply polite. I was surprised. I would not vote for him simply for his abandonment of Afghanistan let alone his lack of brains and general thuggishness but he can appeal to a crowd. We shouldn’t underrate him.

Unfortunately, what #18 says has been true. Articles claiming to be another explosive revelation of a Biden gaffe™ have sometimes fallen flat. When I was in the hospital in 2021, I saw a speech given by "him". Even in my weakened condition I realized it had to be a double. The real Zhoa is at the mercy of his teleprompter, and probably the drug cocktail his handlers are using on him. But I agree, don't underestimate. Their ace-in-the-hole is using a double for critical situations. But even the real Zhoa, for all his slurring, can still muster a C grade.

Four years of brutal studying and work, you make it, you’re graduating and what happens? Your CIC addresses you and your classmates and regales you with his imagined history of being appointed to the Naval Academy. My gawd.

#8 reminded me of this quote from John Steinbeck’s “East of Eden”…
“A lie is a device for profit or escape.”
Pedo Joe is probably the best illustration of that sentence that I’ve ever seen.

The public embarrassments that comprise every Biden public appearance are calculated and intended.
We all understand now that Biden is in no way, shape or form the actual "President" or "Leader of the Free World".
Like it or not, we ALL understand that events are being shaped by people "behind the scenes". Unnamed, unaccountable
What Biden's continuous placement out in public implies is more than a lot of folks are willing to face and contemplate..

The media cannot keep a "lid" on him forever-- he keeps opening his mouth going off script and he Lies, Lies, and damn Lies!
Having a late June debate while he still has a few brain cells to rub together is disastrous as it is, and all the lies he got caught in during his last "debates" in 2020 just show him to be UNFIT TO remain in officem not matter how much some absolutely HATE Trump
