A high school valedictorian moved the audience to tears when he revealed a months-long secret about the fate of his father and the reason his shoes were muddy.
“I have one more thing to say, I want to see if I can get through this.” [Video]
Thursday at Early College High School in Farmers Branch, Texas, north of Dallas, 18-year-old Alem Hadzic joined his classmates in celebrating their collective milestone. He also shared the very personal experience of his father’s death the day before, and his burial that same morning.
After going through his prepared remarks, the valedictorian announced to the crowd, “I have one more thing to say,

A judge drastically slashed the bail for an illegal alien who is accused of killing a Washington State trooper earlier this year, drawing an angry response from the dead lawman’s family.
Last week, Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Richard Okrent cut the bail for 32-year-old Raul Benitez Santana who was being held in the county jail from $1 million to $100,000, according to Fox News which cited online jail records.
Santana has been behind bars since March for the death of WSP Trooper Christopher M. Gadd, a 27-year-old husband and two-year-old daughter who will now have to grow up without her dad. [Video]

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle is telling Americans not to believe their lying eyes, that President Biden’s economy is fantastic and they are better off economically than they mistakenly believe.
The condescension and gaslighting have kicked into full gear as the presidential election nears. Despite Americans struggling to put food on the table, a roof over their heads, and clothes on their children’s backs, Ruhle is telling them they are basically dimwitted and don’t appreciate how good they have it.
“We need an economic explainer,” Ruhle told the president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Austan Goolsbee. “People are confused, they’re exhausted, but they’re also doing quite well.”

Judge Aileen Cannon on Wednesday held a hearing on Walt Nauta’s motion to dismiss Jack Smith’s classified documents for selective and vindictive prosecution.
Recall that Walt Nauta, a former White House employee and Navy veteran who worked valet for Trump and served as a personal staffer at Mar-a-Lago was indicted along with Trump last year.
According to the federal indictment reviewed by The Gateway Pundit, Nauta was charged along with Trump in counts 32, 33, 43, 35, and 36 – for the ‘crime’ of moving boxes of documents from one room to another at Mar-a-Lago.
The charges include conspiracy, withholding a document or record, corruptly concealing a document or record,

President Joe Biden has finally said what millions of Americans are thinking: that former President Donald Trump will win the 2024 election.
"We cannot win this reelection.. we can only reelect Donald Trump!" Biden said while speaking to a group of rallygoers in Missouri. [Video]
Recent polls show that Trump leads Biden in key battleground states including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Trump holds 48 percent of the vote in these crucial states, while Biden has just 44 percent.
It is important to note that Biden won several key battleground states in 2020, including Arizona.

Bloomberg's pollster is out with a new batch of its regularly-released swing state data -- and it's (mostly) more of the same. We'll get to my question about Kamala Harris below, but first, here's what the fresh polling shows: Donald Trump leads narrowly-to-modestly over Joe Biden in five of the seven battlegrounds surveyed. Trump and Biden are tied in Nevada -- a good result for Biden, compared with both the recent New York Times poll showing him down double digits there, and the state average. Biden leads only in Michigan, and only by one point. As usual, the 'big three' midwestern states are extremely close,

Big Government bureaucrats and power-hungry politicians have no greater enemy than the serious and sustained transparency and accountability that would flow from having a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) on the books that sends violators to jail.
Americans saw this week one of the most outrageous examples of what happens when the FOIA is toothless since Hillary Clinton got away with destroying 33,000 of her emails while secretary of state. And the FOIA has been toothless since LBJ signed the measure into law in 1966.
That latest example is now known—thanks to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic—to be Dr. David Morens,

The FBI is reportedly investigating the attempted 'fraudulent' sale of Graceland, the former home and burial site of Elvis Presley.
Sources told TMZ that officials at Graceland and people from Riley Keough's camp, who is the sole trustee of her grandfather's estate, have been in touch with the FBI.
The outlet reported that the agency are 'interested' in launching a criminal probe into the sale.
The King of Rock 'n' Roll's Memphis estate was due to go under the hammer this week until Keough, 34, launched a legal bid to block the sale.
Her lawyer Jeff Germany told a court there are 'significant serious allegations regarding the authenticity' of documents

Last month, while in New York City for his sham trial, former President Donald Trump indicated to reporters his intention to "make a play for New York" in the 2024 election.
"We're very close in New York, I understand," Trump said. "We're leading the country by a lot. A poll just came out a little while ago, as you saw yesterday that we have—we're up in every swing state and up by a lot in every swing state. So I think we're gonna do very well, and we're gonna make a play for New York."

It takes a special kind of stupid to mandate electric vehicles that many people can't afford, charged on a power grid that can't support them. But beyond even that, it takes a special kind of magical thinking to mandate electric trains that haven't been invented.
Welcome to California, the land of magical thinking.
By law, "all new passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs sold in California will be zero-emission vehicles [ZEV] by 2035." ZEVs include EVs, hydrogen-powered vehicles, and plug-in hybrids (but not regular hybrids). If Sacramento gets its way, starting in 2030, freight trains will have to meet the same strict standards.

With the FBI scrambling desperately to claim the authorization to use deadly force in the Mar-a-Lago was “standard operating procedure” for an FBI raid, the fact remains the force authorization documents allowed the FBI to exchange fire with the Secret Service should former Donald Trump be perceived to be taking steps to impede the FBI search for classified documents.
The question arises whether the Biden administration and the FBI would go so far as to kill a former president, who is the leading presidential contender to President Biden in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday said it is not Joe Biden’s job to secure the US border amid an invasion of millions of military-age men from the most dangerous parts of the world.
More than 10 million illegal aliens – mainly military-age men – have invaded the US since Joe Biden was installed in January 2021.
Illegals from the most dangerous parts of the world including the Middle East and Africa, have crossed over the border.
Illegal aliens are raping and murdering innocent Americans
And what does the White House say about the invasion and carnage: It’s not Biden’s job to secure the border.
