The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has reportedly mishandled sexual assault cases involving officials in its ranks. A House Intelligence Committee investigation found that the agency did not adequately address reports of sexual assault and harassment. The lawmakers’ report indicates that those who reported sexual abuse saw “little to no accountability or punishment for the perpetrators.” In at least one case, a female employee who reported abuse was terminated. Since the investigation, the CIA claims it has enacted reforms to revamp the process for reporting sexual assault and harassment.

An Arizona grand jury has indicted 18 allies of Donald Trump for their efforts to subvert the 2020 election — including former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Boris Epshteyn.
The indictment, which includes felony counts of conspiracy, fraud and forgery, also describes Trump as an unindicted co-conspirator.
“Defendants and unindicted coconspirators schemed to prevent the lawful transfer of the presidency to keep Unindicted Coconspirator 1 in office against the will of Arizona’s voters,” the 58-page indictment reads.
President Joe Biden has repeatedly said he won’t hike taxes on anyone earning less than $400,000, but then this week he promised on X to hike taxes on just about everyone.
Now, to be fair, Biden may not have understood that’s what he’s saying. Letting the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expire and “stay expired” would be a massive middle-class tax hike because the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was a massive middle-class tax cut. Yes, wealthy people also saw their taxes reduced by the TCJA, but the law actually shifted a greater portion of the tax burden onto the wealthy.

Prosecutors in Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's office have finally revealed the underlying crime they allege Donald Trump was committing when he allegedly falsified business records.
According to Fox News, "New York prosecutor Joshua Steinglass on Tuesday said the other crime was a violation of a New York law called 'conspiracy to promote or prevent election.'"
That law, New York Law 17-152, reads:
Any two or more persons who conspire to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means and which conspiracy is acted upon by one or more of the parties thereto, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

He is charged with filing corporate records that included a false statement; namely, that payments to Michael Cohen that were described as being for legal services were, in fact, to reimburse Cohen for making one or more payments to Stormy Daniels in exchange for a non-disclosure agreement. But those payments to Daniels were perfectly legal, and filing a false corporate document is a misdemeanor on which the statute of limitation has passed.
So in order to charge Trump, District Attorney Alvin Bragg had to allege that the false documents were filed in order to cover up another crime

House Speaker Mike Johnson reportedly apologized to President Joe Biden for rolling his eyes at the president’s angry State of the Union address in March.

Rep. Donald Payne Jr. (D-N.J.) has passed away from complications after suffering a heart attack on April 6. Payne never regained consciousness after the cardiac arrest and was kept alive on a ventilator in the intensive care unit at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He was 65 years old.
