On Tuesday, oral arguments commenced in the case of Fischer vs. United States, scrutinizing the legitimacy of felony charges of obstructing an official proceeding against individuals involved in the January 6 United States Capitol riot. The court's ruling will carry significant weight, as it could potentially influence the fate of hundreds of defendants from the January 6 riot and potentially undermine certain federal charges against Donald Trump. Currently, the conservative wing of the court has expressed doubt regarding the government's case, which U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar is making.

Comments:

The overreach of applying Sarbanes-Oxley, the law enacted in response to corporate Enron-like abuses, needs to be stopped in its tracks. Theses prosecutions can't be what Congress intended in enacting that law.

If I were the government, I would assume i was going to lose after that argument. If the SC strikes down this law for actions on J6, it will also nullify several Smith's counts against Trump in the DC case. And many protesters will need to be resentenced.

Nothing short of brilliant. It has been clear to most Americans for three years that the J6 prisoners have been unconstitutionally detained for three years for nothing but a peaceful protest of a clearly stolen election. Violent BLM and Antifa goons burned city blocks, injured and killed police and blocked access to everything from courthouses to private homes for days, all under the distinction of who votes for whom.

Fourteenth Amendment: "....nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." The HARD FACT that these crooked DC pukes let any and all leftists run roughshod over the Congress without any issues, or with a $25 fine and immediate release, shows that they CANNOT twist this law against these tourists. The overwhelming majority of them just walked into an open building, with Capitol Police officers holding the door open and smiling at them. The overwhelming majority did NOTHING harmful, many just entered, prayed and left. And yet for these lying anti-American "prosecutors" this is treated like a major crime, with punishments exceeding many sentences for manslaughter.

At best a 5-4 with Roberts joining the wise Latina and the other libs for "fairness." And Special Persecutor Smith, the DC US Attorneys, and the Biden Crime Regime aren't going to abide by it.

In a plot fit for an Indiana Jones film, Nazi U-boats once ferried saboteurs to the United States, dropping them off in rubber dinghies along the East Coast under cover of darkness. Their mission was dubbed “Operation Pastorius” and targets included factories, plants, and rail lines — namely Altoona’s famous “Horseshoe Curve,” a railroad engineering marvel built in 1854 vital to the U.S. shipments of steel, medicine, rations, and even troops. The saboteurs, who landed in Long Island and Jacksonville, Fla., had also set their sights on Newark’s Penn Station and a cryolite metals plant in Philadelphia.

In early 2022, a video-essay creator named Dan Olson uploaded a two-hour-long exposé to YouTube. “Line Goes Up—the Problem with NFTs” quickly became a viral sensation, accumulating nearly 9 million views as of August—an incredible number for a seemingly niche topic. His tone was almost jubilant as he defended the decisions of his administration while claiming that everyone from the military brass to the State Department was in full agreement about the botched withdrawal.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, seeks a preliminary injunction against part of the American Rescue Plan Act. Yost said Congress exceeded its authority when it added the so-called tax mandate to the stimulus plan "at the last minute." Advertisement "The federal government should be encouraging states to innovate and grow business, not holding vital relief funding hostage to its preferred pro-tax policies," Yost said.
