There were shocking scenes on the streets of New York City on Monday as Palestinian activists set fire to an American flag being held by Israel supporters while chanting 'Death to America!' right under the noses of the NYPD.
There were audible gasps as the Stars and Stripes being held by a pro-Israel counter-protestor was set alight and then waved in the air - as bright yellow flames could be seen coming from the flag.
Police officers stationed at the protest outside the New York Stock Exchange could be seen wrestling the flag and stamping out the fire as it was brought to the ground.

Noted attorney Alan Dershowitz said Monday that attorneys for former President Donald Trump should file a motion to allow Trump to periodically skip court dates during his Manhattan trial.
Judge Juan Merchan threatened Trump with arrest if he did not attend the trial regarding a $130,000 payout to porn star Stormy Daniels as part of a confidentiality agreement during Trump’s successful run for the White House after Trump asked to attend the Supreme Court’s oral arguments on presidential immunity set for April 25. Dershowitz suggested Trump’s attorneys act immediately to address Merchan’s threat, which he viewed as a form of “election interference.”

The FBI has launched a criminal probe into the Baltimore bridge collapse that killed six construction workers.
Agents will investigate whether the 22-strong crew of the Dali knew it had serious systemic issues before they left the Maryland port on March 26.
Some were seen arriving at the ship today to speak to the crew, who remain onboard. Meanwhile Baltimore's mayor said the city is bringing in outside firms to 'hold responsible all entities accountable for the Key Bridge tragedy'.
He has hired two law firms to sue Grace Ocean Private, the Singapore-based company that owns the ship.

President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign “plans to spend every day until November 5” hammering the issue of abortion and painting former President Donald Trump and Republicans as extreme, the Washington Post reported. Biden campaign officials reportedly see abortion as a “potential silver bullet” and hope the issue will “mobilize their core voters, bring disaffected voters back into the fold, and make inroads with voters whom Democrats have often struggled to win,” White House reporter Tyler Pager wrote, noting that the tactic comes as many Americans are worried about Biden’s age and inflation, which “threatens to hurt his reelection.”

Video clips show Miami police officers dragging the radical leftists, some of whom had tethered themselves to each other, off the streets like sacks of flour and dumping them on the sidewalks before they could successfully block the PortMiami entrance. Arrests were made soon after.

Lawmakers and privacy experts on both sides of the political spectrum are sounding the alarm on a provision in a spy powers reform bill that one senator described as one of the “most terrifying expansions of government surveillance” in history.
Eighty-six House Republicans last Friday voted for the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act (RISAA), a bill that would reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). Section 702 is a government surveillance authority that is meant to target foreign adversaries, but often surveils Americans’ communications without a warrant.

Has their leverage really increased that much? Or at all?

There's nothing at all funny about putting a former President of the United States of America on trial for misdemeanor record-keeping offenses and turning those into felonies through a badly done magic trick. The underlying reason why the George Soros-selected prosecutor put Donald Trump on trial starting Monday, however, is yet another reason why this case should be laughed out of court. The avowed Trump-hating prosecutor, Alvin Bragg, is part of the effort by the left to tie up the former president in court so he can't campaign for president.

Like many Americans, Richard Haass is still trying to understand why Iran decided to attack Israel directly over the weekend with a barrage of more than 300 missiles and drones, most of which were shot down. The attack was a retaliation for an airstrike by Israel earlier this month that killed a top general with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Damascus. But Haass believes Tehran has miscalculated and will come to regret its decision to shift from its longtime strategy of using proxy forces in places like Syria and Iraq into launching a direct attack on civilian areas in Israel, which has only rekindled sympathy for Israelis.

By Saturday evening, I had begun to suspect that the Iranian attack on Israel wasn't just coordinated with Hezbollah, which launched its rocket attacks on the Jewish state, but also with Iraq, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, and...the United States. Probably, the other Gulf states were also given a heads-up before Iran officially announced their retaliatory strike against Israel.

Inflation and crime, more than any others, are the political issues that voters feel in their gut rather than consider in their mind. For President Joe Biden, this is a massive problem because not only are Americans deeply worried about both, they blame the sitting president. According to the Real Clear Politics average of polls, 56% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of crime, compared to a mere 38% who approve. On inflation, it's even worse, with the president 26 points underwater.

As we reported, while Joe Biden released a written statement on the attack by Iran on Israel with more than 200 missiles and drones, he hadn't made an official public statement on it before now. A lot has come out that is concerning about it, including the reports that Biden had a heads up from Iran that it was coming that he went on vacation anyway and also told them to act "within certain limits." They used slow-moving drones so that Israel and the U.S. could respond and interdict most of the attack. So it sounds like it was basically a show and a collaboration with Iran.

We have seen enough of the Biden-Trump race so far to predict what lies ahead over the next seven months of the campaign. Currently, the polls are about dead even. Trump, however, for now enjoys small leads in the majority of the fickle swing/purple states that will likely decide the election.
So here is what we should expect. Biden has three major vulnerabilities and three major assets. His fate will depend on how these criteria play out. First, on the negative side of the ledger, Biden suffers continual mental and physical decline, which is accelerating exponentially. His work week is now more off than on.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act gets a do-over vote in the House on Monday thanks to a Hail Mary maneuver by Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna. Controversy always attaches itself to the reauthorization of this bill because it legalizes the wiretapping of American citizens. Yes, there are allegedly safeguards in place to ensure the Fourth Amendment is observed and our rights protected, but the history of FISA is one of abuse. During Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, we saw FISA weaponized as a tool to spy on Candidate Trump and, later, President-Elect Trump and his transition team. (X) Arizona Republican Andy Biggs offered an amendment to the bill

President Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the United States would not support him if he were to retaliate against Iran after the terrorist-backed country launched an attack on Israel Saturday night. Following the two leaders' phone call, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) accused the White House of deliberately leaking the audio to the public as a way to appease anti-Semitic supporters—or gain Biden back some votes ahead of the 2024 election.
During a Sunday interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rubio said it was “part of the White House’s efforts to appease” and pander to “anti-Israel and pro-terrorist elements” of the Democratic Party.

After spending decades peddling the fiction that the rich don’t pay their fair share of taxes, Democrats have convinced 60% of adults that it’s true, according to the latest I&I/TIPP poll.
That includes half of Republicans and nearly two-thirds of independents.
But just because most people believe something doesn’t make it true. And in this case, it is wildly and demonstrably false.
As our I&I/TIPP poll report today shows, the richest 1% of Americans now pay 45% of all federal income taxes collected, “the highest levels of taxes as a share of the total in history.” The bottom 75% of income earners, in stark contrast,

A “glass jaw” is a boxing term referring to a boxer who could be knocked out with one good punch to their jaw. It can also refer to a public figure who wilts under the discomfort of public scrutiny.
Democrats are great at dishing it out but have very thin skin when anything is dished out on them. And a glass jaw when anyone punches back.
The latest example is Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters.

In 410AD, the city of Rome was sacked by the Visigoths under their king, Alaric. The Germanic tribes had invaded Italy and laid siege to the Eternal City, eventually breaking in and putting Rome to the sack. Now, today, the United States faces some implacable enemies. Still, there is a difference between Rome in 410 and the U.S. in 2024: Our enemies are already within the city walls, and the civic leadership seems unwilling to do anything about it.
On Saturday, "anti-war activists" gathered in a Teamster's Union hall in Chicago. The Free Press' Olivia Reingold brings us an account, including a video of the activists shouting "Death to Israel" and

During the past several election cycles, political pundits have devoted a lot of attention to the “diploma divide.” Much of this commentary has focused on the advantage Democrats enjoy among voters who tell pollsters they possess college degrees. It isn’t difficult to see why this topic has received so much scrutiny. The commentariat is dominated by college graduates who overwhelmingly support the Democratic Party. This also explains why so much of the self-congratulatory writing about the diploma divide tends to overlook its most consequential characteristic — that working class voters without college degrees far outnumber their “highly educated” counterparts.

American golfer Scottie Scheffler triumphed at the 2024 Masters Tournament in Augusta on Sunday, but it is his comments about his faith that have also garnered attention in Christian circles.
Scheffler, the favorite going into the tournament and the number-one-ranked golfer in the world, won by an impressive four shots, defeating Sweden’s Ludvig Aberg, England’s Tommy Fleetwood (69) and fellow Americans and Collin Morikawa and Max Homa. (X) When asked earlier in the week as to whether golf defines him, Schleffer said it did not. “I’m a faithful guy,” he responded. “I believe in a Creator. I believe in Jesus.

The Biden administration hit the Sunday circuit after Iranian aggression as one senator warned against the tepid response: “…if we turn the other cheek on them, we’re going to get it in the neck.”
President Joe Biden’s steady backtracking on “ironclad” support for Israel in favor of mealy-mouthed political posturing saw further escalation in the Middle East Saturday after Iran attempted a missile and drone strike against the Jewish state.
While South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) had promptly taken to X to bang the war drums asserting “It is long past time for Iran to pay a heavy price for the terrorism they sow throughout the world,” his Louisiana peer
