New York Slammed for 'Mob Justice' Over
Potential Seizure of Trump's Assets

George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley is slamming the "mob justice" style tactics used by New York Attorney General Letitia James to take former President Donald Trump to court and plans to seize his assets. He's also blasting the level of damages handed down by New York Judge Arthur Engoron in a "fraud" case that had no victims. "This creates a perverse incentive for judges like this one who comes up with this astronomical, in my view, ridiculous level of damages," Turley said during an interview with Fox and Friends Tuesday. "Basically his position is in order to get any other judge to [look at the case]

Comments:

There has to be a way out of this for President Trump. This is wholly unconstitutional in that it is preventing him from even approaching another judge to appeal.

This is the result of uncontrolled fascist legal doctrine going back to FDR. Now our legal system is so perverse, one has to pay the state to appeal a state decision. So much for the right of appeal in a court of law. In NY State, its pay to appeal of we seize your property. And don't count of the Supreme Joke to do the right thing.

If New York wants to use hack judges to confiscate the fortunes of not only wealthy businessmen but ordinary citizens as well, effectively depriving them of the right to appeal (no matter how unfair, wrongheaded or outrageous the lower court decision may be), this case give them the blueprint on how to do it.

Trump is royally screwed. He can't get a bond because the issuer and anyone else trying to help Trump will wind up in the cross hairs of the Deep State. New York State then takes over the properties and sells them off for a song and tells Donald to make up the difference in the penalties. Maybe some White Knight billionaires will come up with the money and take the Trump properties as collateral. They would have to be brave people knowing that New York will probably come after them if given the chance.

This "verdict" and the restriction imposed on President Trump, looks to doing what they wanted, and that is to have altered the whole world that DJT would need to sell assets, and they'd be available at a significantly reduced price as a result. People are likely sitting back waiting to get a cheap price on otherwise pricey real estate assets. And, it sounds like the bond companies (30 were approached) are refusing due to the restrictions imposed by the Court (a judge). It looks like it's intentional which would thus be a "taking" and violate President Trump's legal rights under the 5th Amendment.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ plan to tour the building where the 2018 Parkland, Florida mass shooting occurred isn’t sitting well with some victims’ parents. Take Ryan Petty, whose 14-year-old daughter Alaina Petty died during the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Speaking with Fox News this week, he outright accused Harris of trying to use the school for a “photo op” to “push” a gun control agenda. “What’s frustrating to me is that this building should have been demolished years ago, and it’s now being used as a photo op for politicians that want to push an agenda,” he said.
