The Moment You Started to Like Donald Trump

Let’s be honest. You know you like Trump, even if you hate him. And I know the reason why. You were brought up to avoid all people who exaggerated or stretched the truth or who portrayed themselves to be winners by denigrating the opposition. Your parents taught you to be humble and not brag about yourself, even in those instances when it was warranted. In school, your teachers routinely took you down a peg if you thought you were better than the guy who sat next to you. If you felt you knew more than your teacher and showed it,

Spot on, terrific column! And the comments are equally worth reading. It would change some minds, except...you can't reason a person out of a position they didn't reach through reason.

Great article that reminds us who we are. The author only forgot to mention how generous Donald J. Trump is. It’s the kind of generosity that seeks no praise but is done quietly with good intentions. Trump does not require acknowledgement of these acts of generosity which speaks volumes about the man. When I first learned he was running for President, I laughed. No way he was a serious candidate. Boy, was I wrong. After listening to a speech, I was gobsmacked by his understanding of our problems. When he offered common sense solutions, I was hooked. Then he won and I was elated. Unfortunately, I underestimated the depth of depravity of democrats and far too many republicans. Their relentless political war directed at President Trump only hardened my resolve to support him. Even the impeachments and lies and braying media did not deter me because on his worst day, Donald Trump was better than anyone of them on their best day. I not only still hold to this truth but I am more convinced of it than ever. What brings pinpoint focus to my thinking is President Trump’s statement that says, they’re really after you, I am just standing in their way. No politician in my lifetime has ever said that or was willing to take real slings and arrows on my behalf. He has suffered more for this country and its people than anyone I can think of. He stands strong and will not back down in the face of extreme pressure that would have cowed lesser men. Democrats know this. They know he is a formidable opponent and fear they cannot best him and know they cannot control him. My worry is that they will eliminate him. However, they will never be able to undermine the support of the American people. Because we understand the utter wickedness of those standing against him, we pray. We will also go to the polls as if our life depends upon it because it does. Is Donald J. Trump perfect? Neither are any of us but he stands head and shoulders above his evil, conniving, vicious enemies and I believe has more than earned our trust and support. God bless, give him wisdom, and keep him safe. Trump 2024.

I liked Trump from before the first primary. It bothered me that media people and other Republicans were making fun of a man who was obviously tremendously successful. But along with that, I felt there was finally a guy who, unlike Bush, McCain, and Romney, would not allow himself to take daily brow-beatings without giving it back in spades.

It's kind of funny to realize that if they hadn't stolen the 2020 election, we'd have no Russia-Ukraine war, Mideast peace, a strong economy, low inflation, energy independence again, a secure border, a strong, non-suicidally woke military, Melania instead of Doctor Dishrag....and Trump would be gone in ten months, at which time they could resume destroying the country like they did in 2021.

"Our" side of the media should run more old video of Trump being interviewed back in the "Olde Days" when he was a 34yo Billionaire, heart throb, rock star....and the mostly female news anchor/interviewers were clearly fawning in his mere presence. His statements and perspectives about America, about society, about politics...and politicians...about the Future, Are prescient, concise, well thought out, agreeable, and to a large degree self effacing. w/Ronna Barret...this is a small clip of a very long interview. If I recall the actual interviews were over 6 hours, and was edited down to a 1hr broadcast special. https://twitter.com/historyinmemes/status/1765432405429543224

I liked him right out of the blocks....then I waivered as he pushed Fauci, and bragged about the fast track vaccines and the vents. I am hoping that he has learned from his mistakes, and will defeat Biden (or whoever they slide in to replace him).

In the decade I served on a school board, I learned a great deal about group dynamics. The most important lesson, I suppose, is that there are people -- most often highly neurotic people -- who deliberately create chaos. They undermine every effort to rationally deal with issues that require solutions. They violate norms like crediting the work of committees that were designated to analyze what needs to be done and offer solutions for the board to act on, dispiriting those desirous of accomplishing what must be done. They go behind the backs of board members to undercut the systematic workings of the board,

The results of the Louisiana Republican primary are in and Trump won the day. Louisiana is a ‘winner takes all’ state, so Trump also won every delegate. Trump won Louisiana in the general elections of 2016 and 2020. Former President Trump, the likely GOP nominee, has won the Louisiana Republican presidential primary, Decision Desk HQ projected. Trump went into the Louisiana primary with 1,636 pledged delegates and won all 47 delegates available Saturday. The state awards its delegates in a “winner-take-all” manner. The former president has already crossed the threshold needed to clinch the party’s nomination, setting up a rematch between him and President Biden in November

CNN data analyst Harry Enten recently cited a new poll which shows Trump with a nearly insurmountable lead over Biden on the issue of border security. It’s very easy to understand why. It’s just amazing that CNN reported on this. And remember, this is now the top issue for the 2024 election, even eclipsing the economy. Mediaite reports: CNN elections analyst Harry Enten observed that polling suggests that President Joe Biden is on pace for the worst performance by a Democratic presidential candidate with Hispanics “since we started polling the gosh darn thing” in an appearance on Anderson Cooper 360 Wednesday night.

After so-called "progressive prosecutors" implemented supposedly "equitable" standards in response to widespread violence in the summer of 2020 that caused upwards of $2 billion in damage across the country, the natural consequences of soft-on-crime policies followed: more crime and more victims. Democrats continue to insist that their embrace of such lenient policies and programs — ones that treat perpetrators as victims while pushing actual victims to the margins — have not, in fact, caused more crime. Democrats say that "progressive" policies have actually helped reduce crime and claim FBI crime statistics prove as much.

Those on the environmental left cheering the Biden administration’s electric-vehicle mandates or Gov. Hochul’s offshore wind farms would be wise to heed a painful and embarrassing lesson New York is learning from its not-so-distant past. Not only do so-called “green” policies drive up consumer prices, decrease reliability and upend everyday life (say goodbye to wood-fired pizza ovens and gas-powered stoves), they often end up harming the environment they’re supposed to be saving. Talk about a lose-lose. Consider disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s forcing the Indian Point nuclear plant to close in

Bernie Moreno, a former car dealer endorsed by Donald Trump, won a three-way GOP primary Tuesday for the right to take on Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown in Ohio. Moreno handily beat out Secretary of State Frank LaRose and state Sen. Matt Dolan, who was endorsed by popular figures in the state’s Republican establishment. But for months polling indicated it was essentially a two-person race between Dolan and Moreno. Moreno’s victory is a relief for the former president, who traveled to the state to rally on Saturday as the polls tightened. Ousting Brown is crucial to the GOP’s hopes of winning back a majority
