Scientists at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in Massachusetts are planning an experiment in which they will dump approximately 6,000 gallons of sodium hydroxide — a common ingredient in soaps, cleansers, and chemical pipe cleaners — into the waters off of Martha’s Vineyard.
The experiment is a part of WHOI’s LOC-NESS project, which seeks to ascertain whether artificial alkalinity enhancement of the Earth’s oceans can help in global efforts to address so-called global warming..

I like it. Near Zero’s mansion, I think.
Be sure to dump near the shore/ beach to ensure that area is WELL PROTECTED. (I especially like the “soap” component. Suds will be a nice touch)

Aren't these the same experts that tell us not to dump soaps in the Ocean?

Maybe with any luck it will all wash up on Obama's shore.

This makes as much sense as Gates wanting all the trees on earth burned down. A documentary I watched said he went to the Antarctic and saw all that ice. He'd heard Co2 would eventually melt all of it. Trees create Co2. And there you have the convoluted thinking of a megalomaniac to burn down all the trees on the planet. Now someone wants to destroy the oceans. Unbelievable.

A much better solution would be to dump climate activists into the ocean. It would not only be equally effective in controlling climate (i.e., no effect), but also at least it would reduce how much they annoy everyone massively.

Pollute the ocean to fight climate change... This reminds me of the great precambrian extinction where something like 95% of all life forms went extinct over a billion years ago. I wonder if some early 'intelligence' had the same idea back then?

FTA: 'Although climate models suggest the oceans’ surface pH may have dropped from pH 8.2 to 8.1 since 1750, that change was never actually measured' So, climate models suggest things that never have, or never can be measured. Pretty sweet gig. Keep those grants rolling in! This latest one is a hoot. It seems that, as more of the intellectually torpid masses become aware of the 'long con' or Gorebull Whorming, ever more preposterous stunts are thrown out, to see if they stick.

If a ship accidentally did this or an evil corporation, the same people who want to do this intentionally would be screaming at the top of their lungs, the EPA would be all over them, the media would crucify them, and climate activists would condemn them. Then, the Biden administration would fine them billions of dollars for "clean up" and damages. They would probably close the beaches in the affected area for added effect. What's the difference with Woods Hole scientists doing it?

In the quest to solve a problem that doesn't exist, we risk manufacturing a real problem. And if that happens they will spin it into evidence that the non-existing problem indeed existed.

I think the decline of America began in earnest when Americans set aside their innate reason, logic and respect for objective reality (facts) and began to blindly follow the “experts” (usually from government).
To paraphrase a popular internet meme, “Ninety-nine percent of experts agree with whomever is funding them”. There is more than just a little truth to that.
