Remembering Rush Limbaugh

Original Article

On this day in 2021, America lost a great man: the “Mayor of Realville” and “America’s Anchorman,” the great Rush Limbaugh. Rush Limbaugh was more than a radio announcer or show host. He was a unique American genius, a patriot who inspired millions. From his one-line zingers — “For government to give, it must first take away” — to his thoughtful monologues, Rush was incomparable. He created a new generation of conservatives and set the gold standard for conservative talk media. Yet, despite his massive fame and popularity, there was nothing elitist or unapproachable about Rush; many of his listeners, including those who never met him,

Comments:

I can only imagine how Rush would have covered the Dementia Joe mal-administration.

Thank you for posting, OP. Special thanks to “Rush baby”, Catherine Salgado, for this heartfelt tribute to Rush, our beloved friend, family member, fellow patriot & “lovable little fuzz ball”. He used that descriptive phrase as a counter to all of the hate directed at him, but he was a genuinely lovable person, and millions of us genuinely loved him. He genuinely loved us too. The love of America and the American Ideal was our original common bond, but having Rush speak to us from his heart for three hours each day for so many years formed a close, unbreakable & personal bond that made us a family more than an audience. He expressed what we believed about our history and current events, and he revealed so much of the honest character of the man that we came to know him - including a few human failings - and to admire him for his integrity. I hold Rush on equal footing with the great, patriotic men throughout history. His knowledge, voice, wisdom, humor & influence - his presence - is very much needed today. I love & miss him. I always will.

Rush was family, but I suspect that God took him home early to spare him from seeing and experiencing the destruction of the country that he loved and worked so hard unsuccessfully to save.

Rush's regular advice by telephone to President Trump made President Trump's early presidency the great success it was. After Rush was no longer able to function as a whisperer in President Trump's ear, President Trump's actions became a little less calibrated, a little more flamboyant. Rush Limbaugh's political sense and insight were as good as anyone who ever practiced the political game. William F. Buckley was more intellectual, but Rush was viscerally insightful as well as brilliantly brainy. Rush's finger on the political pulse of America was astonishingly accurate. He made Carl Rove look like a newly-arrived immigrant by comparison.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas accused Missouri Gov. Mike Parson of using a racial “dog whistle” when referring to the suspected shooters at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade as “thugs.” Lucas made the comment during an appearance on local radio show “Up to Date” on Friday. He told KCUR host Steve Kraske that he has seen similar incidents of alleged racism “time and again.” Following the shooting, Parson had said, “We can’t let some thugs just take over and ruin what happened.” “I have respect for the governor. We get along well,” Lucas told Kraske. “I disagree strongly with how he would describe that situation.

Far left-wing progressive Governor Gavin Newsom has driven his home state of California into the ground, but that doesn’t seem to stop him from telling other states what to do or weighing in on national issues when he should be asking for forgiveness in a church somewhere. Advertisement Instead, he’s sending out fundraising emails regarding the Kansas City Superbowl shooting, which left dozens injured and one dead, ludicrously arguing that our nation’s gun laws and the Supreme Court paved the way for this tragic incident to happen.

It’s “black history month.” So what? I’m not black; I don’t care. In fairness, I’ve never cared about any of these ethnocentric “celebrate diversity” kinds of garbage divisions Democrats try to cram down our throats, mostly because I celebrate accomplishments, not irrelevant characteristics over which no one has any control. I’m old school; I prefer to judge people based on who they are as people, not their melanin levels. It’s why I would’ve made a horrible Democrat at any time in their history. I will say, however, that this black history month,

It has been clear for quite some time that the Biden regime, despite its show of support for Israel, is really on the side of Hamas. Now the regime is in serious talks to respond to Hamas’ brutal and inhuman murder of 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023 by giving it the biggest reward of all: a Palestinian state. If you are skeptical that Old Joe and his henchmen are really on Hamas’ side, consider the fact that, in November, they enabled the release of ten billion dollars in frozen funds to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hamas’ primary financier. That followed $100 million in “humanitarian aid”

Another day, another crime involving a "migrant" whose illegal entry and re-entry and re-entry into the country has been actively encouraged by political ideologues whose frenetic ambition to power supersedes the massive and irreparable damage their tactics wreak upon society. Irreparable, that's both the operative word and the stated intent. Obama's dream of fundamentally transforming America as we know it plows full steam ahead. Hence, the following incidents numb us into morbid resignation: An illegal immigrant and five-time deportee from Nicaragua viciously beat and raped a developmentally disabled woman in Ohio. Prior to this, he had been arrested multiple times

The Christian season of Lent always triggers the anti-God squad, and 2024 is no different, with limelight-seeking atheists trotting out the tired “Jesus never existed” thesis in preparation for Holy Week. Writing in Aeon, professional provocateur Gavin Evans leads the band of God-slayers with his February 15 article, entitled “There Was No Jesus,” rehashing old arguments that Jesus was the invention of a group of unscrupulous hucksters who sought to create a religion around a myth of their own creation. The gist of Evans’ plodding 4,100-word piece is that “a cult leader who drew crowds, inspired devoted followers and was executed on the order of a Roman governor”

The political narrative of the US left, when it comes to race, are one of the most ‘sacred cows’ of the western world. Hardly anyone dares to counter its assumptions, that are treated like eternal truths. In comes a black Harvard professor leading a study on race and police brutality. He fully expects the results to match the ‘approved’ party line, showing that Houston police shootings have a clear and unmistakable racial bias. When the results show nothing of the kind, the professor has to decide whether he is a scholar or a militant. Harvard Economics Professor Roland Fryer took the hard road, published his study, and ‘all hell broke loose’.

We've been talking for some time about how bad Joe Biden's classified documents scandal was compared to former President Donald Trump's situation. Trump had things transported to Mar-a-Lago only from the time he was president, when he was allowed to have access to them, with Secret Service protection. The issue was over what needed to be returned. But as I've noted in the past, Biden himself admitted there was a document going back to 1974, when he didn't even have any right to have anything from the time he was a Senator. Then after the Hur report dropped, Biden spoke about their investigation spanning "40 years."

It signals the beginning of Lent, six weeks of repentance and self-denial meant to remind the faithful of Jesus’s forty days of fasting in the desert. For centuries, (Snip) The LGBTQ community knows and understands how sacred and important the time of Lent is to Christians. In laying the foundation for his sweeping decision against former President Donald Trump, Judge Arthur Engoron observed that “this is a venial sin, not a mortal sin.” Yet, at $355 million, one would think that Engoron had found Trump to be the source of Original Sin. The judgment against Trump (and his family and associates) was met with a level of unrestrained celebration by many in New York that bordered on the indecent. Attorney General Letitia James declared not only that Trump would be barred from doing business in New York for three years, but that the damages would come to roughly $460 million once interest was included.
