Mitch McConnell Turns Against Border Bill

Original Article

Posted By: Imright, 2/5/2024 10:23:07 PM

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made the shocking decision to recommend Republicans block the advancement of the Senate pro-migration border bill. That first procedural vote was set for Wednesday. It is unknown if Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will forge ahead, although that is likely. McConnell cited the overwhelming number of Senate Republicans planning to vote against the measure either on substance or because they wanted more time, according to Punchbowl News.

Remember a couple of weeks ago when McConnell said there wouldn't be a "border bill" because Trump opposed it. Then, suddenly, there was a border bill again. Don't be surprised if McConnell tries to revive this turkey in the final days before their next recess.

Don't kid yourself-- Benedict Turtle NEVER says things like this. Is there not a mechanism in the legislative proposal whee he can get money?? Maybe it is allowing people to STILL come over WITHOUT proper immigration procedures to become new American citizens THE RIGHT WAY which is almost NEVER on the table so that his big business pals can get slave labor workers so that they can continue to become rich but calling it legal... When 5,000 a day is reached others are turned away?? Now that people can look at what is proposed its not 5000 but 8,500. It is deceitful beyond belief!! Tying three issues together to support the money laundering operations in corrupt Ukraine with aid to support Israel allow with the "throwaway" bone to 'border security' (?) in order to get passage shows just how crooked Chuck U. Schumer and his turncoat pal Lankford from Oklahoma can be-- We need more republican senators to get out front publicly to attack the 'take it or leave it' nature of this plan and GET ON RECORD as standing for the average American citizen instead of allowing THE LAW TO CONTINUE TO BE BROKEN.

That so called border security bill that was designed by leftist and socialist Democrat activists and lobbyists is obviously bogus, as no legitimate border security bill would allow 5,000 illegal aliens a day or over 1,800,000 illegal aliens each year to gain entry to the USA before effective borderline enforcement measures could be commenced to stop that unlawful flow of illegal aliens into the USA. Common sense would tell you that any legitimate border security bill would set a target of allowing zero illegal aliens into the USA. Any wimpy Republican or RINO who votes for such an obviously bogus bill would be committing long-term political suicide, especially in this election year, for the Republican Party. We are about to see how many of them are willing to do that very shortly. Biden caused the out of control border by encouraging and inviting unlimited numbers of Third World poor and uneducated illegal aliens to “surge” to the US borders and unlawfully enter the USA if they wanted to apply for asylum in the USA as far back as the 2020 Democrat debates. As a career DC politician Biden had to know that historically borderline generated asylum cases heard in the US immigration courts resulted in about a 90% denial rate after the cases were found to be either fraudulent or were filed by illegal aliens who came into the USA for economic purposes, like to take a US job or commit criminal offenses and as such were not lawfully entitled to a grant of asylum. So Biden’s motive had to be to allow as many Third World origin illegal aliens into the USA as possible who in accordance with Democrat identity politics are considered to be members of minority groups. Biden is a 101% corrupt and partisan liberal Democrat politician who is being managed by an Obama aligned leftist and socialist Democrat crew. He is not about to enforce the immigration laws against those Third World origin illegal aliens who he and the leftist and socialist Democrats believe will constitute a new leftist and socialist Democrat support and voter constituency in the years ahead, after the leftist and socialist Democrats take their next planned step, get the wimpy Republicans to cave again, and grant just about the entire illegal alien population in the USA a Democrat designed “path to citizenship” amnesty and transform them into tens of millions of future leftist and socialist Democrat supporters and voters who would fully support the leftist and socialist political agenda by keeping the leftist and socialist Democrats in permanent political control of the USA, leading to transforming the country into a socialist utopia, and pushing the wimpy Republicans into political oblivion. Biden and the leftist and socialist Democrats certainly would not be supporting those “open border” schemes if they ever thought that more than a very small percentage of the incoming illegal alien masses would ever become conservative or MAGA Republican supporters and voters, you can bet your boots on that.

Ronna McDaniel, chairwoman for the Republican National Committee (RNC), has reportedly told former President Donald Trump that she will step down from her position following the South Carolina primary later this month. Should Ronna McDaniel follow through on her alleged pledge to leave, the former president will then reportedly promote the chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, Michael Whatley, as her replacement, according to several sources who spoke with the New York Times. A new election will take place within the committee. The sources said that Trump prefers Whatley due to the two reportedly aligning with each other on views about the 2020 election being allegedly “stolen.”

Las Vegas— Nevada’s dueling presidential caucuses and primaries this week are creating confusion among voters, and those who cast ballots in the first contest Tuesday had the option of supporting “none of these candidates.” Nikki Haley ran in Tuesday’s Republican primary, which won’t count for the GOP nomination, while Donald Trump is the only major candidate in Thursday’s Republican caucuses, which does. The split races have undercut the influence of the third state on the GOP calendar. It also may have brought a ho-hum approach to Tuesday’s contests, where the day started with lower-than-expected voter turnout.

The United States has already spent at least $113 billion on the war in Ukraine since Russia invaded the country in February 2022.

In a dramatic setback, House Republicans failed Tuesday to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, forced to shelve a high-profile priority — for now — after a few GOP lawmakers refused to go along with the party’s plan. The stunning roll call fell just a few votes short of impeaching Mayorkas, stalling the Republicans’ drive to punish the Biden administration over its handling of the U.S-Mexico border. With Democrats united against the charges, the Republicans needed almost every vote from their slim majority to approve the articles of impeachment. The House is likely to revisit plans to impeach Mayorkas, but next steps are highly uncertain.
