Biden channels the ‘power of faith’
to court black voters critical to his
2024 reelection

President Joe Biden‘s recent campaigning in South Carolina saw him meet repeatedly with black churchgoers in the Columbia area, foreshadowing a clear effort by the president’s team to leverage religion in contrasting Biden with former President Donald Trump. Biden, who is a Catholic, attends Mass weekly and routinely discusses how his faith has shaped his political beliefs — themes he expounded on in remarks delivered to two separate black churches on Sunday. The president’s 2024 campaign had looked to South Carolina, the Democrats’ first official primary contest, to counter a perceived lack of enthusiasm surrounding Biden’s reelection effort, specifically regarding black Southern voters, compared to the previous general election.

Faith in what? Perhaps Faith in wishful dreams? Perhaps I missed it but I didn’t see the name JESUS mentioned in the article or in the quotes from his speech. My Faith is in JESUS and His perfect plan. Faith in my plan or Biden’s Faith in his plan and hope is foolish. The slogan may play well to some in the church audience but not to those with true Faith.

Correction: Biden manipulates by using religious language, hoping to prey on those too weak-minded to see that he is a God-hating, lying, manipulative, bigoted weasel, and always has been.

Doubt he attends Mass every Sunday, or even most Sunday's. Seem to recall one of his early tax returns didn't even have mention of any contributions to a Catholic church.

I do believe that Brain Dead Biden's faith is in his hope that he can successfully steal another election in November 2024, and foist his useless self on this country for another four years. MY faith enables me to pray for deliverance from this pathetic monster for ever and ever. Also, good Catholics do not run on pro-abortion issues! Please, Dear Lord, save us from this pathetic national embarrassment.

What bull rubbish! I guess that's why he was for segregated classrooms before he was for them. As a good catholic he is pro-abortion though it used to be forbidden by the catholic church. Today it's just kill all your unborn children because the vegetable in the WH in the cheap pimp suit says so. Is there anything on this planet this freak does not pander to or lie about.

Of course we know that when a Democrat speaks of ‘power of faith’ he means some shuck & jive show at some little Black church in the vale, where the audience (as opposed to a congregation) can clap, stomp and Amen to Biden's sing-song blah-de-blah blah.

I cringe every time I hear someone call either Biden or Pelosi a Catholic. Catholics don't worship money and power over God. Catholics don't fight tooth and nail to keep abortion legal. Catholics don't use the power of government to unjustly attack their political rivals. CINOs, not Catholics.

Things are going to roll out exactly the way they are easily predicted to roll out, as long as people stop pretending. An NBC article highlights South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn as one of the central players in the game of Biden. As the article notes, Clyburn heads into the AME Church network, worried that young black voters might not support the game. The emphasis within the article is essentially correct, but the narrative framework is fraught with pretending.

As the U.S. presidential campaign moves closer to a Donald Trump-Joe Biden rematch, China is watching uneasily. First, there are concerns about the campaign itself, where candidates are likely to talk tough on China. That could threaten the fragile improvements in U.S.-China relations seen in recent months. Then there’s the outcome of the November vote. Neither candidate is particularly appealing to Beijing. While Biden has looked for areas of cooperation with China, Beijing is concerned about his efforts to unite allies in the Indo-Pacific in a coalition against China.

For most of us, an island getaway in winter is the perfect vacation. For surrogates of Donald Trump and Nikki Haley, it’s serious business. The US Virgin Islands’ new caucus system will provide Trump, 77, and Haley, 52, the first opportunity to go head-to-head post-New Hampshire primary — meaning the territory is getting more scrutiny than ever in the election process. Neither Trump nor Haley has visited the Caribbean outpost, and neither are likely to do so ahead of the Feb. 8 caucus.

Senators Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), James Lankford (R-OK), and Chris Murphy (D-CT) have reportedly put the finishing touches on their “bipartisan border deal” that will be tied together with other Senate priorities to permit billions more in funding for Ukraine. Keep in mind the billions for Ukraine is the goal here; the “border security deal” is the mechanism to deflect attention and give the customary UniParty illusion of justification. There’s no reason to pretend this is anything of substance; even a cursory review of the media narrative shows just how insufferable this nonsense really is.

In his own words, Senator James Lankford says if President Trump was president today the border crisis would not exist, because the existing law would be enforced. Simultaneous to this, the same Senator Lankford says the new law he proposes will create significant border enforcement. If the executive branch can ignore the current border enforcement law (they can and do), what makes Lankford believe new legislation will not be ignored by the same executive branch (they will)? This non-pretending reality frames the essential point: the element of “enforcement” is not within the legislative branch, so the entire effort is a moot exercise.
