driver crashed into an exterior gate at the White House on Monday night, officials said.
The collision took place around 6 p.m. and the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody, according to Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi. The crash occurred around 6 pm on Monday.
“We are investigating the cause & manner of the collision,” Guglielmi said in a statement President Biden was not at the White House at the time of the incident.
The crash caused traffic delays at 15th Street & Pennsylvania Avenue.
