Is it safe to fly this Thanksgiving? Air
marshal union chief warns holiday travel
could be 'unsafe' due to shortage of federal
agents on flights after staff were redeployed

An air marshal union chief has warned it could be 'unsafe' to fly around Thanksgiving due to a lack of federal agents on flights that have instead been diverted to the US southern border. Travel chaos is already in full swing as storms batter the Plains and Midwest, delaying 3,000 flights ahead of Thursday. The Transportation Security Administration expects to screen a record-breaking 30 million passengers from November 17 through November 28. But to further complicate things, the airline industry may face a shortage of air marshals who are being sent to tackle the migrant crisis at the border.

I am thrilled to hear that following the people who flew to the D.C. area around January 6th is no longer the top priority of the air marshals.

I would be more concerned with the numerous chimp-outs that are occurring on board planes and in the terminals. Some people just do not get along well with others, especially when alcohol is involved.

I'm in agreement with #5. The real safety issue are the various unruly passengers either at the airport or onboard the flight. I've seen too many videos of such people who just want to "get into it." with airport staff, especially the flight attendants. Today I'll be one of the many Americans across our fruited plain driving over 50 miles to celebrate tomorrow. For those that are traveling please stay safe out there and have a happy Thanksgiving.

TSA - they're still making us take off our shoes because of Richard Reid's attempts to light his explosive shoes. When was this? Over 15 years ago. TSA is still stuck as if it's 2002. The Air Marshals serve a purpose, very limited, but with hardened cockpit doors and a much more pro-active class pf passengers - doubt we will see another 9/11 in terms of hijacked plans. But hey, the TSA Union trying to stay relevant.

I know the solution. Let's create another bureau! A bureau of dedicated flight only air marshals. They cannot be diverted for any reason whatsoever. Oh, that's right. That is what they did back in 2001. Right? How many terrorist attacks have air marshals thwarted? Oh, that's right none. Why? They will tell you it is because the terrorists "never know" and that is what stops them. Fear of a single armed person on a random flight. Feel safe now?

The organization that operates Texas’ electric grid has warned of potential forced power outages this year if temperatures drop to below freezing like they did last year. According to The Dallas Morning News, “when Texas’ power demand outstrips available supply,” the organization — the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) — “is forced to shut off power to some customers to maintain the stability of the grid.” The Morning News reported on Thursday that ERCOT has predicted there’s a 14.4 percent chance that these controlled outages — known as rolling blackouts — will be required this year if temperatures drop to the levels seen last year.

It's been an interesting day for Joe Biden. As we've reported, he's in Nantucket for his Thanksgiving vacation, staying at a billionaire's estate. On Thursday, people were raising questions about a picture of the Biden family taking a polar plunge on Wednesday. Many wondered if Joe had taken the plunge, especially since the picture showed him in sneakers with perfectly coiffed hair. A Democratic strategist also spread a pic of Biden in the water, but that picture was several years old.

Reports say that residents of the NYCHA were told when to line up for their turkey dinner and fixings delivery, but when they arrived at the appointed time, they found hundreds of illegals already at the head of the line, according to WNYW-TV. Queensbridge Housing resident Georgia Butler, for one, was disgusted after losing out to illegals at this year’s food bank give away and noted that illegals

Thirteen Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas were yesterday freed after a seven-week nightmare – as their country vowed to wipe out the terrorists. The nine women and four children were released after the warring sides signed a Qatari-negotiated, four-day ceasefire which began at 7am local time. Just over nine hours later – and with the pause still holding – the first hostages were handed over to the Red Cross at the Rafah crossing in southern Gaza. The exchange happened half an hour later than scheduled, adding to the anxiety of families waiting in Israel for news.

Columbus, Ohio—Ohio’s new constitutional protections for abortion access and other reproductive rights take effect Dec. 7, a month after voters resoundingly passed them. How and when their impacts are felt remains unclear. Existing abortion-related lawsuits are moving again through the courts now that voters have decided the issue, raising questions about implementation. The amendment declared an individual’s right to “make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions” and passed with a strong 57% majority. It was the seventh straight victory in statewide votes for supporters of abortion access nationally since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned constitutional protections.

Similar polls found that a majority of voters, 53%, believed in the American dream in 2012 and that 46% believed in it in 2016. The poll defined the American dream as

In fact, there was a symbiotic relationship between Drudge's aggregated links and the pages of most conservative media outlets. Pretty much everyone was either getting story prompts from Drudge or sending him stories (often via AOL Instant Messenger) hoping he'd link them. A Drudge link day was always a good one

When we say the word “Thanks-giving,” it presumes the giving of thanks. But to whom is that thanks given? Since the first Thanksgiving on Plymouth Rock and its subsequent establishment as a day of thanks on Oct. 3, 1789, the recipient of that thanks on behalf of the United States of America has always been God. But in keeping with the destruction of everything good and virtuous in this nation, this year, God has been removed as the recipient of thanks on Thanksgiving. On Wednesday, President Biden released his Thanksgiving proclamation for 2023. For the first time in American history, the proclamation completely omitted any reference to God or faith.
