The percentage of voters who believe in the American dream, the idea that working hard brings more success, has dramatically decreased over the past decade, according to a poll published on Friday. About a third of voters, 36%, said the once-popular ethos holds true, per the poll, which was conducted in October by the Wall Street Journal and University of Chicago. That is roughly half of the percentage who believed in the American dream last year, the Wall Street Journal found. Similar polls found that a majority of voters, 53%, believed in the American dream in 2012 and that 46% believed in it in 2016. The poll defined the American dream as

If there are young Americans out there who have lost faith in their ability to make a decent life for themselves, the blame rests solely on their parents, who raised spoiled powder puffs, catered to their every whim and still provide a free bedroom for them in the basement. Sad to say, one of them came with his parents to our Thanksgiving celebration and it was all I could do to keep from throwing him out of the house with a good kick to the seat of his pants.

4 more years of jobiden and the bidenistas and it will be like there never was an "American dream", which - might coincide with the opening of the detainment / re-education camps throughout the country with - people's savings, checking, 401K's and other financial possessions seized by the Einsatzgruppen at that point, the circle will be closed and it'll be everyone for themselves ... if you still cherish the freedoms we have right now

Polls are garbage. Democrats work ceaselessly through chaos-creation to dishearten and discourage the American people. Democrats seek to wipe out the middle class and install a permanent, universal Underclass, with exemptions for the elites of the Party, who will retain their exalted lifestyle.

Budget cut-bolstered attrition set the Big Apple up for a “dramatic turn for the worse” as police officers have turned in their badges in staggering numbers. A microcosm of the managed decline seen at the national level, New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ (D) succession to Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) in putting leftist agendas ahead of basic safety and operations measurably set the city back decades. As resources were reallocated to accommodate the out-of-control influx of illegal aliens, disenchanted and disgruntled members of the NYPD continued resigning in droves, even as they were short of the requirements to receive full pensions, according to the NYPD pension data.

More than 100,000 Chinese nationals have migrated into the United States since 2021, and the federal government is doing little to block them or to send them home, the New York Times reported on November 24. “When [President Joe] Biden and Mr. Xi met last week during an international summit in San Francisco, for instance, immigration was absent in their discussion,” the newspaper reported: Instead, they talked about fentanyl, American business investment in China and export controls, among other topics. In the past, American diplomats have tried to work with the Chinese government to persuade it to repatriate its citizens, and the response has tended to be the same.

We've seen some pretty horrible actions as an outgrowth of the Hamas attack on Israel and then the subsequent leftist push of the anti-Israel cause. In addition to negatively affecting Israel this push is bringing evil things to this country, mainly among the young, who are indoctrinated by leftist thought. We've seen this at all kinds of rallies and across college campuses. We even see it capturing climate activist Greta Thunberg. We learned about the 1930s and pogroms in school, but we're seeing some of the same things developing in realtime, as a frightening incident in New York City makes clear.

Donald Trump is yet to win a single primary or caucus or even secure the Republican nomination vote however, his surge ahead of his rivals in the polls has led many political commentators all but certain of his selection. As recent polling data from Siena College and New York Times puts him ahead of Biden in four of the six swing states, it begs the question 'who might Trump choose as vice president?' Mike Pence is almost certainly not expected to be asked to return to the VP since he voted to certify the 2020 election results which ousted Trump from office, which has led to speculation

The left-wing American Immigration Council released the analysis recently, giving a glimpse into the electoral power that the nation’s annual importation of more than a million legal immigrants has given to naturalized citizens.“As more immigrants naturalize and become eligible to vote, they continue to gain political power,” the analysis states. “The number of immigrant voters is only projected to rise in the next decade,

President Joe Biden omitted any reference to Almighty God or Divine Providence Thursday in his annual proclamation of the quintessentially American feast of Thanksgiving. In his own 1863 presidential proclamation instituting Thanksgiving as a national holiday, Abraham Lincoln urged his fellow Americans to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November “as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.”Even in the midst of the civil war, Lincoln recalled the many blessings and bounties bestowed on the nation, attributing them all to the Almighty.

The organization that operates Texas’ electric grid has warned of potential forced power outages this year if temperatures drop to below freezing like they did last year. According to The Dallas Morning News, “when Texas’ power demand outstrips available supply,” the organization — the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) — “is forced to shut off power to some customers to maintain the stability of the grid.” The Morning News reported on Thursday that ERCOT has predicted there’s a 14.4 percent chance that these controlled outages — known as rolling blackouts — will be required this year if temperatures drop to the levels seen last year.

The daughter then lovingly has the wife's car -- which is under wraps in the barn, unused for a while -- restored, unbeknownst to the father, to surprise him and bring back those memories of the love of his wife he so misses. “It’s what mom would’ve wanted,” the daughter says. It's no secret that for years, the Drudge Report drove conservative (and often mainstream) media news cycles. If Drudge was talking about it, you could bet everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Fox News to PJ Media was also discussing it. In fact, there was a symbiotic relationship between Drudge's aggregated links and the pages of most conservative media outlets. Pretty much everyone was either getting story prompts from Drudge or sending him stories (often via AOL Instant Messenger) hoping he'd link them. A Drudge link day was always a good one

This time it comes from the National Transportation Safety Board and it involves outsiders having control of the gas pedal in your car. While you’re driving, of course. The proposal from the NTSB is to install “intelligent speed assistance” tech in all cars, a system that uses a car’s GPS location and local speed limit postings “to help ensure safe and legal speeds.” What the NTSB wants is to require systems that “warn” when a driver is speeding,
