The White House took pleasure in gubernatorial candidate Daniel Cameron’s (R) failed bid in Kentucky at the hands of incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear (D).
Reposting a comment from Cameron on X from November 4, White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates slammed Cameron for championing former President Donald Trump’s endorsement and ripping President Joe Biden’s so-called “Bidenomics.” “The closing message below – from a candidate who’s [sic] Twitter bio starts with ‘Trump-endorsed’ – crashed and burned,” he posted: ( X ) Other Democrats chimed in: ( X ) Cameron and Republican allies, including Trump, worked very hard in recent days to defeat Beshear by linking him to Biden.

Andy Bashear (or Baby Andy as we call him) may have won, but he has a Republican majority legislature and an elected Republican cabinet to work with. He didn't gain much. They will keep him in check. The teachers' union elected him.
Andy is a legacy governor.

Cameron did not have a chance as he was up against a dug in Democrat political machine that supported both Beshear and his father before him.

McConnell republicans in Kentucky gave the win to Bashear. They hate MAGA more than democrats.

of course they're elated beyond belief and for two reasons:
1.) he's a republican
2.) he's black
and which one is more repulsive to the demcommies is up for debate but they hate each with equal ferocity

So now I guess we hope McConnel can stay upright for a few more years so Beshar doesn't install another communist as Senator. Oh wait what would the difference be? Goodbye USA.

What Periwinkel said. National level DemoRATS can boast all they want but Baby Beshear won't get much done with supermajorities in both the KY House and KY Senate. All Baby Beshear did was suck up to the teachers' union - and Baby Beshear knew he had Lexington and Louisville in the bag since they're both DemoRAT strongholds.

Sad to say, but I don't think a black Republican can win against a popular Democrat governor.

Is it possible that maybe Kentucky just isn't yet ready for a black governor?

Something is wrong with the national Republican party.
Let's forget about 2020, I'll give the GOP Establishment the benefit of the doubt on that.
But 2022 was supposed to be a "Red Wave." It wasn't even a good whiz. You can complain about our candidates, but the Democrats elected a cigar store Indian to the Senate in Pennyslvania.
Although Beshear was supposedly a popular gov in Kentucky, he did the usual "I'm with you folks" shtick in the election year and it will be back to carrying the Dem's water next year all over again. Not only did the GOP NOT flip the Va. Senate, they LOST the VA. House.
The Dems are supposed to be successful in pushing this "we're for choice when it comes to killing babies" line. Okay, let's fight this on the 80% that people agree. First trimester, okay. After that, limited exceptions. Some of us on the very-strong-pro-life end are going to have to hold our nose and live with what we can get as opposed to the "kill 'em until their birth and then maybe another week or so after" rules that Roe vs Wade provided.
Either the Dems are exceedingly successful in stealing votes (I won't totally discount that) by "flooding the zone" with ballots that they can access and execute, or we just aren't working hard enough to pull the GOP vote to the polls.
And don't give me any of this "Trump is going to win in a landslide" stuff. We've got to fight for every BALLOT (not voter, BALLOTS win elections, not voters). We won in 2016 on a "rounding error" in our favor, we may have lost in 2020 when the "rounding error" went the other way (perhaps assisted by a heavy Democrat thumb on the scale).

Two things. One. The corrupt democrats who stole their way into the WH and their equally corrupt brethren in KY just showed themselves for the racists that they are. Black Republicans and Conservative are hated by them just as much if not more than White Christian Conservatives. Two they can gloat in KY and DC all they want. With a Republican majority in the legislature, he won't get much of his agenda accomplished.

Van Jones of CNN said he's glad the black man lost. He's just telegraphing what all white liberals are thinking.

12, Van Jones is a lap dog who says what he's been trained to say. He has no actual thoughts of his own.

So the White House is "gloating" about a black man losing to a white man.
Gee, that sounds really racist to me?!?!?!?!?

#1 I was just about to post the same thing. What is she doing? Is she doing it on purpose or is she just bad at her job? Whatever it is, the RNC needs to get rid of her!

#10, agree with your comments, particularly with the need to take what you can get on the abortion issue, since it's one that Democrats use to remind pro-life and Christian voters who not to vote for.
Incredible that KY has super majorities but still decided they should have a Dem Gov, which means many switched their vote for the Dem, or didn't vote for the Republican.
MAGA is being used in a similar way Tea Party was used against Republicans - as a negative thing for the country. The establishment is not looking for radical change.
