After Ohio voters on Tuesday approved a constitutional amendment protecting the right to abortion and other forms of reproductive health care, advocates on both sides of the issue are looking at how they can get support on 2024 ballots in at least a dozen states. Since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that had protected abortion rights nationally, voters in all seven states that held a statewide vote have backed access. That includes Ohio, where voters Tuesday enshrined abortion access in the state constitution.

OK Schumer, tell me again how the Dobbs decision was going to outlaw abortion?

I am pro-life and pro-Constitution. The Dobbs decision had it right -- abortion laws must be left to the individual states. What does that mean? We are now seeing it -- the voters in some states will support more restrictive abortion laws, and the voters in others will support less restrictive abortion laws (and in some cases, amendments to the state constitution). It is up to pro-lifers to make their case to the voters.

Andy said it absolutely correctly. Dobbs properly returned the choices to the states, not via black robe Pharisees. Time for the gop to refocus and start by firing Pierre Delecto’s niece as she is an abject failure.

So much for our pro-life Gov Catholic leading the call to vote no! No ads on TV - only one electronic billboard at US 35 huge intersection showing young mother with small child "Your Child, Your Call. Vote No #1", which I think was our Greene Co Right to Life. Shameful worms! Where was new Catholic JD Vance before this monstrous campaign of lying radio spots brainwashed the masses? Where was ANY Repub & so called Christian conservatives in ads, 24/7 like the $oro$ deceitful distortions of current Ohio laws going on about private & personal decisions with your own doctor & hogwash that Ohio won't give medical care to a woman in miscarriage? bs! One recorded phone message from Jim Jordan, that was it. So sickened by these go along to get along spineless simps.Their outcry is 'don't give in to the D lies & cheating - keep voting' for milquetoast conservatives or flat out fakers? I'm done ~ your actions have shown us you can't be successful with a foot on both sides of right and wrong.

Every time abortion is on the ballot, Democrats show up in droves. This is about turning out the base and winning all the races.

These states bring curse upon themselves, which has been on our entire nation for decades.
I look for Louisiana to thrive among other states, because I am quite sure that we will choose life over death, if it even comes to a vote. I am not Catholic, but am glad to be surrounded by them on this issue.

I think republican held legislatures where something like this could tip States blue should pass laws right now that allow abortion for, say, the first 12 weeks. These 'Constitutional' amendments to State constitutions allow abortion up til birth (and maybe later) AND every sexual perversion known to man.
Solid Red States should hold firm.

Don't forget there was also a ballot on legalizing marijuana in Ohio. Marijuana and abortion - Dem priorities apparently and nothing else.

Somehow these ghouls have twisted the meaning of "reproductive health care". No matter what you call it, abortion ends a life.

Ohio was the test case and we blew it. I am so sorry. We were out spent by outside money. Gin up college students and rancid feminists and we could not overcome their commitment to murder the unborn and the right to trans your kid. Evil wins if we are not there to push back hard and the RNC had no interest in defeating this issue. I am still devastated by the results of this election. My state will never be the same again and our schools will be under attack to normalize transgender ideology and who knows what else to our youngest students. The truth of what has happened will set in when one of these mothers who wanted issue 1 to pass faces the reality of what it means to her child. Don’t even get me started on the legalization of marijuana. The studies that are coming out are clear evidence that marijuana has a detrimental effect on your brain when you smoke it, especially young people. It’s hard to stay positive when your world is turning to the dark side.

The ACLU, California and soros put a lot of money into pushing this issue with commercials full of lies. the
commercials played on peoples emotions, as in saying that that a women who had a miscarriage would not receive medical help. lie! also claimed that issue one would keep the government out of your life. What a sticken lie that is. NEVER was it mentioned that parental rights will be taken away from parents if the daughter is pregnant. No parent would be able to protect the daughter and baby from abortion. The government forces abortion on the girl without the parents consent. same with transgender (which is impossible), the government takes parental rights away from them. In reality, it's all about government control And with all the money the left gave, the tv's and radio commercial were many. BTW, this is not a politcal issue, it is a moral issue calling this reproductive rights is another YUGE lie. Reproduction has all ready taken place. It's really all about killing a human being and getting away with it.

#2, agree it's up to pro-lifers to make their case, bu far too often it's harsh and not welcome (being called a murderer), which turns off more than it helps sway.
It's likely why the Left has used the word "freedom" as part of their campaign to sway people to their side.
Heard Daniel Cameron stated he was against abortion even in the case of rape and incest - the Democrats ran ads showing a girl who stated she was sexually abused by her step-father and became pregnant at 12 years old.
Who in their right mind thinks that little girl should be FORCED to have that baby?
The left wins that argument every time and sways far more to their side.
The left is looking to enshrine the "right" into the State Constitution because it's nearly impossible to remove once it's there.

Like it or not, no matter how one sees the issue in moral terms, abortion is a WINNING issue for the demonrats.
The Ohio issue is 40 weeks in which a very viable baby could be born and then killed before of upon birthing time--INFANTICIDE.
Why not have those babies put up for adoption if someone does not want to raise the child? Republicans had better come to accept the fact that they LOSE on this issue.
Exceptions such as rape, incest, life of the mother are reasonable but the time factor is crucial because once a fetal heartbeat is detected, there is life, and there are other means of birth control aside of abortion should be used long before taking a life!

Now that 'it' (dope and killing babies) is set in stone, it is no longer an issue that the Democraps can solicit money or votes for. They have lost their Divisive Issue that caused the electorate to show up and vote.
I'm not saying it's a good thing and I'd bet money that the voter fraud was rampant to get Measure 1 passed. There can't be that many heartless human beings out there.

There it is again, as presented in Ohio, “health care” as a euphemism for the stark reality of what the radical constitutional amendment entails.
