GOP presidential hopeful Chris Christie did his best to scurry away from investigative journalist Laura Loomer as she confronted the former New Jersey governor for supporting the government’s attempt to incarcerate Donald Trump. Loomer was amongst the crowd that greeted Christie with roaring boos as he delivered remarks at the Florida GOP Freedom Summit. “Now look, every one of those boos, every one of those cat calls, every one of those yells will not… solve one problem we face in this country,” Christie told the angry audience. “You’re anger against the truth is reprehensible.”

Former President Donald Trump holds an edge over President Joe Biden in a series of hypothetical matchups among registered voters in four key swing states, new polling from The New York Times and Siena College shows.
In Nevada, a state Biden narrowly carried in the 2020 presidential election, Trump boasts 52% support to Biden’s 41%. Trump also tops Biden in Georgia, a state that was central to his ploy to overturn the last presidential election, with 49% to Biden’s 43%.
Trump leads Biden in Arizona, too, with 49% to the president’s 44%. In Michigan, Trump holds a 5-point lead as well: 48% to Biden’s 43%.

Republicans are overwhelmingly negative, with 95% thinking things in this country are heading in the wrong direction, followed by 76% of independents and 54% of Democrats, according to the poll.

Over 20 Republican lawmakers led by Rep. Ohio voters approved a ballot measure Tuesday night that will effectively outlaw any restrictions on abortion and other procedures that involve reproduction, including gender-transition surgeries.
The measure, known as Issue 1, will also remove parental-consent and notification requirements for minors who undergo the procedures.

The resolutions also propose changing the official language from “assisted suicide” to “medical aid in dying” (MAID) at the meeting,[Snip] These proposals, if adopted, fundamentally change the AMA’s position on assisted suicide. The AMA determined in its last policy deliberations that assisted suicide is “fundamentally incompatible with the physician’s role as healer.”
