Clay Travis offers WNBA champs $1 million
to play high school boy’s basketball team

The reigning WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces were the recipients of a unique challenge from nationally syndicated talk radio host Clay Travis who seems to believe that the best women’s basketball team in the U.S. would be hard-pressed to beat a boy’s high school team. Travis reacted to a putdown from Aces star guard Chelsea Gray who called him a “dumbass” for expressing his opinion that “a good, state championship caliber, high school boys team would smoke the best team in the WNBA,” by giving her a chance to put her money where her mouth is.

Comments:

Not sure if it's still the modus operandi for major college women's teams, but many of them used to practice against men's team that were organized for that purpose (not the men's team that competes on behalf ot the college). I think that Clay may be correct that a selected boys hs championship team could defeat the WNBA champions/ But I'd temper that with the knowledge that the LV Aces have a pretty sharp coach. Becky Hammon, who would excel as a coach in the NBA as well..

It has been proven the high school boys can beat the professional women at soccer. I don't know about these things, but do boys achieve their full height in high school? Along with the ability to coordinate and use that height? I would think that would be a determining factor.

Interesting challenge! (But how much time will this chatter use up on the Clay & Buck Show? Rush didn't talk about himself as much as these two talk about themselves.)

When I was in high school we had some boys that were 6'5" and one was 6"7" so yes they do grow tall, but their coordination needs work, but even so a State Championship boys team could beat the women.

It is true they can't dunk. But alotta those shorties can and do hit from anywhere inside the circle. Some HS teams in big cities are stacked, but waaatch ooouut. YouTube wnba player takes on former div 2 mens...its just a caution...

My gut tells me that the reply to Travis will be.......the sound of crickets going chirp.....chirp.....chirp. The females know that they're third rate, that they only exist as an Affirmative Action operation, and they don't DARE compete against a good high school BOYS team. Shifting gears slightly..... I wonder.... how long before the WNBA is DOMINATED by a team of Tranny 'Males' who 'Identify' as Females? It would have happened already.... IF there was any money to be made doing it!

You don’t need a State champ caliber team for this. Any varsity boys team will do.

Which size basketball would they use? Will it be the 29.5" circumference size used by the NBA and men's varsity high school? Or the smaller and lighter 28.5" circumference WNBA ball to give the women a 3 point shot advantage?

Would Clay Travis be saying this if he was the father of daughters? He has three sons. Why do men think it’s right to compare women playing sports to men playing the same sport and disparage them? As a pre-Title IX woman and a college season ticket holder to women’s games, I (and a whole lot of men too) thoroughly enjoy these games and make no comparison to the men playing the same sport. I just wish I had been given the same opportunity to play these sports when I was in high school and college. Men and women are different so why do some people think they should be the same when playing sports? Enjoy the differences people.

#9 because so many of the women believe (and even demand) they deserve equal pay and recognition? The paying audiences and sponsors obviously prefer the men's play. I support women's (not trans) sports. just pointing out facts.

When it comes to questioning the results of elections, there are two sets of rules that are unfairly applied to Democrats as opposed to everyone else in a country where unequal justice under the law has become the new normal. To prove that point, one need look to Rep. Vicente Gonzalez of Texas who is so terrified of his Republican opponent in the upcoming midterm elections that he is falsely claiming that Rep. Mayra Flores “stole” her House seat by winning a special election in June, stunning observers by pulling it off in a district that has traditionally gone for Democrats, a race seen as a bellwether for November.

(Austin) — A trip to the Austin area for a volleyvall match ended in an unexpected and frustrating way for members of the Seguin High School Matador varsity team. The team stopped, after its match, to eat at a Cheddar’s restaurant in the Austin area. Parents say while the kids were inside, thieves were outside breaking into the team’s vans. Volleyball equipment and some personal belongings were taken from the vehicle. The crime is upsetting enough, but the police response, or lack there of, was also upsetting to some parents.

U.S. healthcare is now a solid week into the CT contrast shortage of ’22, and common themes are emerging in adaptations at local hospitals and imaging centers. One is the wisdom of making up-or-down contrast and scanning decisions one patient at a time rather than as a blanket short-term policy. Another is the commonsense call to reserve inventory for patients most in need while avoiding use of the term rationing. A third might be the fingers-crossed expectation that the shortage will not drag on to where it becomes a crisis.

McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas could become Harry Reid International as soon as September, a Clark County official said today. The county could conduct a ceremony and put up a new sign this fall to mark the renaming of the airport for the former longtime U.S. senator from Nevada, said Commissioner Tick Segerblom, a leading advocate for the renaming. The County Commission unanimously voted in February to rename the county-owned and operated airport for Democrat Reid, a Searchlight native who spent more than 30 years in Washington, mostly as a senator but also as a U.S. representative. He was Senate majority leader from 2007 to 2015.

There is a great deal of manipulation and falsehood in media presentation of the 2020 election. These lies and false constructs generate a great deal of anxiety. That said, there are two specific approaches by the narrative engineers that deserve a strong reminder. The first purposeful approach media use to create and embed their false assumptions is a slight of hand that few notice, and it can create anxiety. In normal term-two election cycles the baseline for media analysis should be the incumbent electoral win in term one. T

Sen. Cory Booker announced Monday that he will end his campaign after failing to qualify for the Democratic debate planned for Tuesday in Iowa. "It was a difficult decision to make, but I got in this race to win, and I've always said I wouldn't continue if there was no longer a path to victory," Booker said in an email to supporters Monday. The New Jersey Democrat's announcement came a day before six presidential candidates will participate in the CNN/Des Moines Register's debate in Des Moines, Iowa. He did not qualify for the event. The next day, Fletcher voted to impeach President Donald Trump — a move Republicans are dead-set on making sure overshadows all else Fletcher has done in her rather effective first year in Congress.

He alleged that the hold of globalist agendas over these officials stems from compromising situations they find themselves in during official overseas trips. He expressed his disdain for what he described as a “totally, completely broken” House of Representatives, which he alleges is under the thumbs of corporate lobbyists and globalists. According to Flynn, these external entities have managed to ensnare some legislators through compromising situations during Congressional Delegation (CODEL) trips overseas.

This is a moral disaster, of course – violence in the defense of what is right is a moral obligation and a symbol of a greater rot within society. On Friday evening, Harvard President Claudine Gay gave a speech to Harvard Hillel that was adapted in Forward. Gay forthrightly admitted that Harvard has an anti-Semitism problem: Here in the U.S., we are witnessing a surge in anti-Jewish incidents and rhetoric across the nation — and on our own campus. The ancient specter of antisemitism, that persistent and corrosive hatred, has returned with renewed force. A recent ADL report found that incidents of antisemitism had almost tripled over the past six years nationally. Here at Harvard, I’ve heard story after story of Jewish students feeling increasingly uneasy or even threatened on campus.

“This machine cannot be stopped,” declared Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant earlier today. At the very least, Israel will not stop the IDF, now fully unleashed in Gaza, short of total victory. Instead, Gallant offered Hamas a different deal, which sounds remarkably like Hamas’ true ‘offer’ to the Israelis. “Die or surrender” sums both up nicely, no? This is the same ‘deal’ that Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran have offered Israel for decades. It’s the same deal that the other Arab nations offered between 1947 and roughly 1979, too. For the last sixteen years, Israel has hoped that withdrawal from Gaza might moderate those enemies similarly as Egypt and Jordan moderated
