The ECLA has long been a Godless club much like your local garden club or coffee klatch! They do some good work much like the Rotarians but neither Yaweh nor his progeny have nothing to doing with it!

I left TEC (The Episcopal Church) back in the mid 90's because they were already pushing the rainbow flag stuff and started attending my local ELCA church. I left them as soon as they signed some kind of agreement with TEC as I knew they would follow the same trajectory. I graduated from an ELCA university and I quit going to all their events about 10 years ago as there was a plethora of rainbow flags, but no mention of Jesus or Christ even in the grace that was prayed before dinner.

The line here is that ELCA stands for "Every Liberal Cause Around" I joined a Lutheran congregation that left ELCA about 10 years ago for LCMC because of the liberal stands of ELCA. We're growing and thriving. Can't say that for the ELCA congregations in town.

Recognizing the anguish in your leaving, I also left the church where I was baptized into the body of Christ and lived for 80 something years. The congregation had decided to go full-COVID rules. I decided to go to a church much closer to home. My reason was to follow the Great Physician, not some quack mayor with no medical degree who could order churches to be closed.

This household of lifelong Lutherans left the ELCA around 1997 when it became clear the ELCA was straying from the doctrine and authority of Scripture; continued not only the ordination of women, but homosexuals as well—the latter, not in condemnation of them as children of God, but in deference to and reverence for what is written in Scripture, that homosexuality is an abomination to God and, as such, inappropriate to become members of the clergy; and, disagreement about ELCA fellowship with other denominations that differ in the mode of Christ’s presence in Holy Communion. Having become members of the LCMS where the doctrine and authority of Scripture is upheld and revered is a treasured blessing. It is sincerely hoped that Mr. and Mrs. Hinderaker remain Lutherans and find a Lutheran synod that will be a blessing to them as it has been to this family.

Israeli missiles bombed landing strips at Syria’s Damascus Airport and at its second-largest airport in Aleppo. It is likely no coincidence that a Meraj Airlines passenger jet reportedly carrying Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian was on its way to Damascus at the time of the bombing. European’s Visegrád 24 reported that the flight also had “several commanders of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps on board and several tons of anti-tank missiles for Hezbollah.”

The Biden administration is preventing Iran from accessing the $6 billion the U.S. recently transferred after Hamas, an Iranian-backed terrorist group, launched a brutal attack against Israel, The Washington Post reported Thursday. The Biden administration originally cut a deal with Iran to transfer $6 billion in previously frozen assets in exchange for five American prisoners. The administration is now working with fund manager Qatar to hold up the $6 billion after Iran’s ally Hamas launched a wave of attacks against Israel on Saturday, killing over 1,200 Israelis and at least 25 Americans and kidnapping hundreds more.
