During an appearance on FNC’s “Special Report,” former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) called on viewers not to back former President Donald Trump.
She said she believed he would not uphold the rule of law.
Cheney said, “Every single president, Republican and Democrat, since George Washington, has ensured the peaceful transition of power. Donald Trump tried to seize power. So we can disagree with Biden policies, but the fact that he tried to seize power, the fact that he ignored the rulings of 61 courts, the fact that he ignored his own attorney general, his own White House counsel, who told him what he was saying about the election was false.

All new cars in Canada will have to be zero emissions by 2035, the government will announce next week when it unveils new vehicle regulations, the Star has learned. But rather than being a way to force new technology on consumers, it’s being sold as a way to guarantee that people who want EVs will be able to get them more quickly. The new regulations, called the Electric Vehicle Availability Standard, will shorten the lengthy wait times for EVs that have been dampening consumer demand, said a senior government official whom the Star agreed not to name because they were

Another day ending in “y,” another pro-Hamas anti-Israel protest. This one broke out Monday evening in New York City’s Penn Station, where protesters marched into the Daniel Moynihan Train Hall in Manhattan to harass travelers and intimidate anyone who disagreed with their viewpoint.
It started around 5 p.m., according to a local news station:
The group came from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and earlier marched down 42nd Street from Grand Central Terminal where the MTA earlier warned commuters about travel restrictions.
Police could be seen barricading and blocking entrances to Penn Station around 5 p.m., including a NJ TRANSIT entrance on 7th Avenue, but

Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott - fed up with apparent inaction from President Joe Biden on the current immigration crisis at the Southern border - has approved a sweeping new law that allows police to arrest migrants who illegally cross into the US.
The law will also give local judges the authority to order migrants to leave the country, as roughly 2,000 cross the border with Mexico every day.
The law, known as SB4, takes effect in March and allows any Texas law enforcement officer to arrest people who are suspected of entering the country illegally. Those who re-enter face penalties ranging from 180 days in jail to 20 years

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., said she personally warned President Biden about his re-election efforts and the importance of Muslim and young voters, who feel "heartbroken" about the Israel-Hamas war.
CBS Minnesota anchor Esme Murphy asked the far-left "Squad" member about an "abandon Biden" movement, and asked her if she would support the president in 2024.
"I recently had a conversation with the president," she responded. "Muslims were very pivotal to his election, they mobilized in all the key states. Young people were very instrumental in getting him elected. And what I reminded him is that he needs to listen to these voices

While America's public health officials issue one warning after another about this winter's "tripledemic" of COVID, flu, and RSV, the American public is responding with a collective yawn — if vaccination rates are anything to go by.
The CDC's most recent weekly vaccination update says that "receipt of the COVID-19 vaccine is low across all socio-demographic subgroups and has consistently varied by age, race and ethnicity, poverty status, health insurance status, and urbanicity." As of December 2, fewer than 18% of adults reported getting the updated COVID-19 vaccine since Sept. 14, and about another 15% of adults said they would "definitely" get vaccinated.

Sen. Ben Cardin has aired his disappointment over reports that a now-former staffer had taken part in filmed sexual activities in a Senate hearing room.
The Maryland senator spoke two days after Democrat congressional aide Aidan Maese-Czeropski, 24, was fired over the emergence of the tape - which was reportedly filmed in Hart Senate Office Building room 216.
The video depicts a graphic sex act between two men, and was reportedly leaked after being 'shared in a private group for gay men in politics.'

ROME — Pope Francis has formally approved allowing priests to bless same-sex couples, with a new document explaining a radical change in Vatican policy by insisting that people seeking God’s love and mercy shouldn’t be subject to “an exhaustive moral analysis” to receive it.
The document from the Vatican’s doctrine office, released Monday, elaborates on a letter Francis sent to two conservative cardinals that was published in October. In that preliminary response, Francis suggested such blessings could be offered under some circumstances if they didn’t confuse the ritual with the sacrament of marriage.

We reported earlier about the new Monmouth national poll showing President Joe Biden has dropped to his lowest approval rating ever, earning a meager 34 percent. But voters are even more unhappy with another politician, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who received an exceptionally low six percent approval rating. Meanwhile, 60 percent of respondents disapproved of the job he's been doing. (X) Monmouth wrote about the McConnell numbers, noting that he’s the only person in the poll who received a net negative score:

Corporate media outlets are running salacious headlines that Pope Francis is now allowing “priests to bless same-sex relationships.” The implication from the media is that the Catholic Church has made a “radical” reversal on its stance that marriage is between one man and one woman. This is factually untrue.
On Monday, the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith released a “Declaration ‘Fiducia Supplicans’ On the Pastoral Meaning of Blessings.” In the declaration, the Vatican first reaffirms that marriage is the “exclusive, stable, and indissoluble union between a man and a woman, naturally open to the generation of children.”

New York City Mayor Eric Adams again called out the Biden administration and the federal government over its 'baffling' inability to address the Big Apple's migrant crisis.
Adams, a Democrat, has often clashed with the president and Democrats in Washington, constantly begging Washington for money to solve a disaster that he claimed will 'destroy my city.'
It comes alongside the news there are now over 67,000 migrants living in the city's shelter system, over triple the 21,300 at this time last year. In a Sunday interview, Adams was asked why his fellow Democrats in DC have ignored his repeated, in-person pleas to help, the mayor said he was at a loss and

A comic in a club started to make a joke about President Joe Biden and was promptly heckled by a woman shouting, “Stop it. I like Joe.”
I watched the YouTube video of it and once again marveled at the very idea that anyone in 2023 could be so ignorant of Biden’s character.
At present, polls show that his approval ratings are the lowest ever for an incumbent president but the very fact that 30% of those polled still believe he’s doing a good job means that idiocracy is now the normal state in America.
All right, perhaps, I’m wrong and the average I.Q. in America hasn’t decreased to -50.
